  1. "Spiritual" is one of the ubiquitous overused terms that meant whatever it needed to in order to distort one's reality.
  2. There's a lot more terms. Diagrams too. Course the question is . . . Why so many? One answer is they are perfect for people with fractured personalities.
  3. Wasn't there a stripper pole in the basement? Can't blame her for trying to escape, fond memories.
  4. Don't forget Adam's first wife's name was Lilith. And most men were slaves, eunuchs, soldiers, or some other form of gene pool dead end.
  5. The Way is rumored to practice wife swapping. That would blend in. Apparently quaaludes are sometimes known as quack, which explains the duck just sitting there.
  6. I was trying to light-hearted is all.
  7. TWI pushed "commitment" a lot . . . I think he'd have hard time selling that idea
  8. I'm with you on that. Divorces laws, making them easier, no-fault and such. Monogamy is essentially not enforced . . . anything goes . . . . my understanding is there rise in other dynamics now, such as poly. Will that effect how we raise kids and run gooberments? Probably. Would people like VPW have and easier time in that environment, or a harder one?
  9. “Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell was Oh no, not again. Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the Universe than we do now.” ― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
  10. Actually, you could. As we touched on before, do so in series. Legislation 60 years ago made this a common thing.
  11. Apologizes for the act or the church? Typically when polygamy occurs and is socially acceptable there at least 2 reasons why . . . 1) a need to conserve limited resources . . . which feeds into . . 2) the need to consider the next generation. The next generation is kinda a big deal. When humans developed agriculture thousands of years ago polygamy become very common . . . most of our ancestors are female, because powerful men. The Greeks changed this trend by enforcing monogamy . . . . by giving suffrage to men . . . see how voting changes how we form families? The Romans borrowed from the Greeks and Christianity borrowed from the Romans . . . .
  12. Those papers are dated early 1980s. They clearly got that information from . . . the internet.
  13. If the glove doesn't fit, don't acquit, . . . . just build a new language around it.
  14. Yeah he was probably dead in the cradle. But others have suggested he was not alone. What was the kissing ministry?
  15. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borg . . . entered links above too
  16. Maybe sounds Cryptic, but polycules have made the news. Which to me sounds like the Borg Cube. Where assimilation is currency, and no boundaries are everybody's business model.
  17. Looking into polyamory . . . not sure there's "love" or "depth" . . . they have to spend a lot of time talking to each other and talking to each other and talking and then communicating. Because jealousy. There's a lot of manipulation involved. Parties are guilted or shamed into denying their emotions through "lets talk this out". It's a lot of emotionless acts. Sounds like TWIG fellowship to me . . .
  18. The P in PFAL stands for Power. That's what everyone seems to value.
  19. I think they and the police can legally lie to you when trying to get info. Someone might say they are just doing their job.
  20. Most people do not pair for life. Men have access to many women throughout their life. And visa versa.
  21. Paul's (and your) value system was not the same as TWI's value system.
  22. Most everyone is a serial monogamist. Which isn't wildly different.
