(of course methane burning is not snow burning) Firefighters know that if you spray water on a fire that is superhot, the water breaks up into hydrogen and oxygen and helps feed the fire. Well if your good at math you can go into and understand just about anything I think. I'm just finishing up my P-Chem sequence and it seems like I've learned more about math than chemistry. yeah, keep those math skills honed.

I watched a good movie recently based in China in which a man talked to the dead. (As in he went to their graves and spoke to them) The honesty and deepness in which he spoke to them caught my attention. I don't believe (well, right now I don't now what I believe) we are to pray to the dead, but the way it was portrayed made it look very practical for the living. . .

I was walking around one day when two ladies just walked up to me and asked if I needed prayer for anything. Yes! I said and told them my issue. So we sat down and they began praying to Jesus. In my mind I said "to God in the name of J.C." but continued to accept their help. Whatever happened there, the prayer was heard.

She said something like "Need, don't know the word, I've never had a need" I was like ???????? I'm not supposed to have needs? I was baffled. (well I've learned here at GS that her husband had few "needs")

When the space shuttle Columbia incident occurred, we had a prayer for the families of the those involved during the noon meal at HQ. I remember a lot of people being a little uneasy and scratching their heads. It was something different than we were all used too.

You can hear it too? I jest. But I do often feel when I start to pray privately, that I'm in another reproof session. I think someone already mentioned the prayer judging that went on. I think it'll wear off.

In the back of my mind there still that annoying voice saying "You've walked out of the Household and therefore God's protection, your prayers are worthless, how dare you" I look forward to that little thought going away.

I use CFs on my fish tank. They can pump out a higher wattage at a lower cost. (which is necessary to get light down through the water to the photosynthetic organisms) I've broken a couple here and there, and have never heard of the mercury in them til now. I'll have to look into this more.

thanks for bringing this up T-Bone I remember as a boy and teenager and not too long ago watching people get reemed. Why is was ever important that I was there I don't know. I was present for marriages to be ripped apart, hearts torn, and people just being reduced to nothing. These things always came up unexpectedly. But it was all done beause of "The Word" or something. I hadn't realized these events were wrong until recently. Every now and then I remember another incident and think "OMG". I'm thankful now that I recognize that those events were ungodly. What sickens me now though, is that I actually began to enjoy them. There was always a shock value to these events, and they were supposedly done to protect the Household and defeat the Devil. You leave these meetings thinking you've witnessed the adversary taking it in the teeth and God's will done. More yelling and reproof ment more of God's Word done. So I actually learned to enjoy them. (Just like a good teaching was simply based on how loud lcm yelled) My conscience was darkened. Thank God I see that now.

The sad thing is they think they have what you pointed out that they don't (joy, heart etc.). They believe they are really blessing people. :(
