or Moses. Hey! They're supposed to obey without question! Immediately!

Learn something everyday here. "Broken fellowship" does not equal sin. Ouch. My little brain. Every thought or idea in twi had to magnified on some pedestal. It amazes me who "on the outside" people seem to know better than I how to think simple things through (and not talk about it.)

Don't know if I'm following. These verses in Romans were shown to me growing up when I asked about people "we didn't get to witness to." God still had a way for them. I mean if, 15in that they show (Z)the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, . . . they can get eternal life if haven't been witnessed too. ?

T-bone, so natural man, no spirit within or upon, or Bible in hand, knows the difference between right and wrong. (My understanding of "the law" here in Romans being an "outline" for good and evil.) (?) So, if without Christ, we know the difference between right and wrong. With Christ, i dunno. . .

As someone whose spent his whole life (thus far) in twi, I can tell you I'm ....ed. Blah blah blah. Would any parents like to share what their thoughts on raising kids in twi? I'd really like to know.

Jeaniam, sorry if it's taking me 47 posts to get what your saying. I'm sure you're tired of repeating yourself. I don't know about the "let your conscience be your guide" doctrine. I just know twi has confused and angered the fudge out of me.

Are you saying I was born of a twi toilet? sure do feel that way at times.

While in twi there were things that I "knew" were right that I now "know" are wrong. While in twi if I thought of going against a twi doctrine I would have a bad feeling. But now those inner feelings are completely opposite of what they were before for the same actions. Sometimes doing the wrong things feel wrong, sometimes doing the right things feel wrong. Sometimes, who the heck knows what the right thing to do is? I don't know that I can always turn to my conscience and say "Hey, got any clear readings? Yes? No? Maybe? Ask again later?" So that just leads me to believe something about the conscience or something around the conscience changes. If the conscience is a single entity in itself.

Can't wait to read it JJ. I'm wondering if "right" and "wrong" are not absolute terms. Eve could not have known she shouldn't eat the fruit if someone hadn't told not to prior. (hypothetically) If nobody(including God) had told her not to do it, and she did it, would it have been sin? Perhaps the conscience has more to do with our desire to do what's right, and we learn what's right from external sources (i.e. God, the Word, experience etc.)?

Once at the gulag an acquantince of mine and I were "digging the Word" together. I was hung up on Philipians 2:12,13. These verses and obedience to leadership didn't fit for me. I don't know why. It just felt wrong. I hear even in the military there are situations where a soldier is expected to disobey orders. Haven't seen anything in da werd. (of course I stopped looking). wouldn't studying the Bible and revelation affect how your conscience works?

One time The Fox read in the newspaper that so-and-so from New Knoxville (HQ) got a speeding ticket. (wasn't exactly in the front page) Uncle Howie was sent to the podium during the noon meal to yell at The Staff. He was going off about how we were all gonna die if we didn't slow down. "Ya'll better stop and smell the roses before we're puttin' em on yer grave." ROAR! Then he went over some basics of driving. Like how you need to look down the road when driving. Did you know you can't play checkers and drive a car at the same time? You should also have both hands on the wheel and not around you girlfriend. Wisdom from a holy man. Anyone else got some noontime indigestion?

What's so "Fine" About Arts with no "Create"-ivity
Bolshevik replied to JavaJane's topic in About The Way
Maybe this is but I remember having similar thoughts about perusing my desired career. Nothing I could would match God's Word, and anything less than Way Corps is low-realm. God first. I knew what I wanted to do ten years ago. I'm not doing that now because of that type of thinking. I know folks still thinking those thoughts today. I just thought that "Create"-ivity is not limited to the Arts and writing. -

Well the Sox won this series, 2 games-to-one. Guess they don't cross paths again until the end of September.

I guess this is what sent bells off in my head. The Amplified bible does say in Gen 3:22 . . "to know [how to distinguish between] good and evil and blessing and calamity; . . " All other versions I looked at say only "to know good and evil" twi taught that this meant that Adam and Eve knew the difference between good and evil (had a mental knowledge or understanding) but after the fall they had experiential knowledge. (but if twi said it, its questionable) I guess following this logic the devil was implying that God has experiential knowledge of evil. There are sins I have not committed that I know are wrong, your saying Adam and Eve didn't have this knowledge that you and I do? [edited for grammer]
-
your right, God told Adam but Eve says in Gen 3:3 "God hath said" Indicating she had heard what God said, directly or indirectly. (of course she also misquotes him) Perhaps I just don't see a difference between previously received external knowledge and a conscience.
-
didn't eve clearly recall that God told her not to do something? She knew what God would allow and wouldn't. so in her mind she would be saying "God said don't do this"
