A Question About Christian Values
Bolshevik replied to Tom's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
another girl I talked to the other day, I asked if she like the show "whale wars", where you basically sign a contract that you're willing to die to save a whale. She was like, "well, people die to save people, what's the difference?" I was like, "well, how would I know if the whale lived a good life? Maybe it was a jerk whale." No, I think a lot of people don't see any moral differences between "man" and "beast". -
so fed up with roids talk. that oughta just grandfather everyone in and start anew or something.

hey, I grew up in the sticks. I called them crayfish. Sometimes I called them bass bait.

A Question About Christian Values
Bolshevik replied to Tom's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
About a week or two ago an acquantance of mine proceded to explain to me that humans are not a noble creature. He said a dog will save a human from drowning even if nobody told him too and he'd never met that person. Dogs are therefore a more noble creature than humans. Course I just nodded and was thinking about the video of a wild leapord nursing a baby baboon. Ah how cute. The leapord had previously ate the mom. My acquantance is a stuanch atheist who hate's all religions and republicanism. I think his view is just weird. (Dude lies awake at night because he can't understand why people are mean to each other.) Where does he get this extreme concern for all life? Doesn't he know that life survives by taking other life? So where do morals and values come from? I would think a number of places. I don't think their fixed, and probably vary. -

Although it would be an interesting read (although it's been awhile yes I have read it once or twice), I don't know how I could truly accept any conclusion it draws. -
Actually, the plan is to use the firehoses. I'm sure they still have plenty of kids to give up.

killed by the "adversary" vs killed because of twi insanity

twi is dumb -
You can taste it coming to the surface in places like Big Bone Lick. Just stick you finger in a puddle. Yellow Springs, OH has lithium in the water too, which is why is was once a popular tourist attraction.

we can always hope the swamp will reclaim what once belonged to it.

No, I don't think they're really thinking when they do this. That attachment is to twi is still lodged in their minds. But I think many of the much more sane one's still feel that attachment. "spiritual home" may be a correct description, whether the "spiritual" exists or not.

Roy, I don't know that the President pays attention to Fox news or any network.

Yeah, some come by and can look big an tough, but start crying and sobering about how Wierwille wouldn't have turned them away and where's the love and on and on. Heck, when I lived there I couldn't bring a relative in unless I gave two weeks notice at least and got the approval. And I know they've got a lot of empty rooms. It's just like fellowship really. Everyone sitting around talking about how to recapture the past. It's gone dudes.

Questions were always handed in at the end of the class, and then you never saw them again. I shoulda wrote, "Why am I taking this stupid class?"

I know one dude was ordered by a judge to take his meds. Often ended up in the Sydney prison. Others I think came by after something happened in their life, divorce etc. They then drive accross the country to New K. Gotta go see twi at 2 a.m. They could get hostile, that's what the vans were for . . .he he. . . making ex-wayfer pancakes.

There was also the spin they put on Job. Course, had anyone actually sat down and read the book of Job, well . . . I guess the fear begins prior to signing the Green Card.
-
Well, I remember Lot was willing to sacrifice his daughters to the mob. Very Christian I guess. But if those freaks came near my home in the middle of the night, I would NOT be very "Christian".

Why bring scripture up? Go into a max-security prison unarmed face to face with the convicts. Quote scripture. Are they gonna care?
-
There are some cop-outs you wouldn't want to face unarmed.

A Question About Christian Values

See would meat-eating animals be considered evil? They do kill for sport and for fun. Does it care about "good" and "evil"? Respect for life? "good" and "evil" is applied by those with ulterior motives or concerns. Just trying to add more rhyme and reason to an existance that obviously doesn't have as much as people try to give it. -

"morality" and "values" are usually obvious when you're surrounded by people who think just like you. We all know what is generally considered "good" and "bad" in our culture. -
Ah, yes. They came every year. I once filled a bucket of them and kept them in my founder's hall dorm room. They can get quite large, and start fighting each other. he he
