  1. Man, did they run you off? Yes, recent years, you won't get much of that here.
  2. kinda spinoffish . . . you can take the wayfer out of The Way . . . same old same old
  3. I'll have to look at the link more. twi is not a young cult. most young people in twi now were bred into it. Then those kids date and marry nonbelievers in. I would think that will be the main avenue for twi to survive in the U.S., unless they bring in immigrants.
  4. hmm, I typically think of new people coming to fellowship being in their 40s. But that's my experience. I know lots of young people joined in the 70s because they were young. Young people do join nowadays, and they usually "rise through the ranks" faster, I think. I usually think of new people joining nowadays as being middle-aged, lonely, oddballs. I don't know how to measure that statistic.
  5. There's nothing to expose anymore. They are exactly what they look like.
  6. I'd have to see what you're talking about. most of the people I've seen come to twi in the past couple of years don't know of this site. They usually catch wayfers in their lies all by their lonesome.
  7. or did know, and didn't want to sacrifice their happiness.
  8. You can't know that? I would think most people retain a twi thoughtlife (or waybrain or whatever). twi is a bit quicker nowadays about hurting new people. They don't need a website.
  9. why? what if some people are more dangerous and unstable on the outside? Better to contain them in wayworld . . .
  10. Do you have the Athletes of the Spirit coloring book? Every child should, so many colors to choose from. twi is a crutch for phantom wounds. If it makes them happy, good for them.
  11. Far as I know international numbers far exceed domestic. I believe this is a trend for Christianity in general. It's only natural that domestic twi numbers have and will drop. The demographics have simply shifted.
  12. Wayfers often mention other churches weren't teaching anything back in the 70s, that nobody has all the answers, no church/religion is perfect, and how do you know any church won't fall into what twi is accused of? Twi doesn't have the truth, and neither does anybody else. They might have a point. If nothing out there is true, then nobody is lying either. Twi is as good as anything else. Why put the effort in to change one's view of things? People get old and tired.
  13. Maple syrup. I suddenly crave maple syrup. You know how often I get a decent serving of maple syrup nowadays? Used to always have a neighbor or relative or someone just giving it away . . .
  14. I don't believe they add repeats. Repeats are used as labor. (Instead of going to the "discussion" sessions)
  15. These types of threads I find silly. They usually only look at the United States.
  16. That's gotta make it rough when trying to get health-insurance.
  17. hhmmm. . . kinda like "why the stay" . . .
  18. $125? goodness I think I've got that one . . . I could sell it for $124.99 . . . he he he
  19. The Yin and the Yang. or two sides of the same coin.
  20. Okay . . . Here's something different. http://www.clodbusters.org/ I saw these guys playing one day and was puzzled. I guess there's a number of old-fashioned (like 1850s) baseball teams that get together.
  21. I thought she said Alex Gonzalez twice (instead of V-mart, but we know she meant V-mart). She is a great woman indeed . . . I knew this was coming . . . It's hard not to . . . Life -> Baseball -> Red Sox. Sorry Hiway.
  22. I don't recall ever seeing much change in a living wayfer over time. If, in 30 years, a person or persons remain essentially the same, I think it's fairly safe to assume they will remain on that path. "the "mindset" we were all admonished to subscribe to has, itself, evolved and changed" - not sure what you mean here. twi has always (in my short lifetime)had one mindset of having "the truth", being right, having "it" . . . all reasoning, actions, propaganda, excuses etc. change to protect that, but the core "mindset" remains the same.
  23. I don't know what you mean either. I do not believe that an aging wayfer is going to come to any "realizations". Their mindset will be the same as is was in the 70s.
  24. Eminent death does not discourage the stubborn.
