VPW----polygamist or just another dirty old man?
Bolshevik replied to waysider's topic in About The Way
I think the show does a good job of covering a number of levels. From total social isolation (polygamists w/Hummers) to completely leaving Mormonism. The scenarios and conversions are great. IMO. -
They also said a WayD vow is like a marriage vow. WayD is practice for marriage. I tend to think they were just making it up as they go.
-
well then, the commission was lousy!
-
I kept getting told on WayD, "If thou vowest a vow, defer not to pay it" . . . eh? course I kept asking silly questions like "what are we doing? Is there a point to any of this?" I was also told that if I were in the army I'd $h!t when I was told to $h!t. still don't know what we were doing.

It is a good show, a lot of things in it you can go, yeah, twi people are like that there. -
You can leave twi, but that doesn't mean it will go away. probably easier than leaving the mafia.

Demolish your human logic & speak the same thing

I think this was plagiarized from "Pompous Arse: 101" -

crud, I didn't know it was missing!? . . . where did you see it last?

Christmas is a time to point out how "off the word" your relatives are.

That's what I keep telling them! like having a premi-baby? Shouldn't the people who promoted these WC to leadership levels be dropped? Couldn't they see they didn't have enough believing power to have healthy children and avoid going into debt?

Nothing is free, all has a cost. Is freedom even real? "Why should it be any different than real life, not happy, go do something else." - The people who say this are usually the same one's who make sure you don't go do something else (in the context of twi). You can't just walk away from twi, they will always find you. This just means you have to put more time and effort into keeping them at bay. Time and energy are a cost. everyone is a manipulator and being manipulated, bullying is just one form, their is no freedom.

I don't think most people who took part in twi (after the fog) were "hooked", but some were. Some people are naturally narcissistic pricks who don't want to change, but want to be seen as well-meaning, altruistic and rare individuals. twi is a place where people can change their image of themselves, without really doing anything internally. these types of folks weren't hooked, they found what they were looking for.

I think there's two explanations vpw gave of judas hanging himself, one in the collaterals and another in JCOP? When pointing this out to someone at HQ and they immediately came up with an explanation on the spot about the date of the books' publishing and the progression of vpw's knowledge and understanding. so do all twi publications belong in the canon or just some of them?

I think I did one with my brother on lions. Lions roar really loud. Don't F' with them.

perhaps a bombardment from potato cannons would help move the tomato troops in closer for easier shots?
-
hmm. . . often, doesn't one spouse "pick sides" in favor twi? . . . would make it difficult for the other to believe someone would go to bat for them.

I've heard HA once had staffers not pay soc sec. Looking at my soc sec statement now I believe was paying into soc sec when I was a staffer. I don't know if that means anything for Rossie. I've also heard it rumored she doesn't collect a paycheck from twi. (cause she's got all that other funding). She was a school teacher prior to twi? (none of this is that important I know.)

my compassion for wayfers is rather thin yeah . . . think I'd rather lick maggots out of a dog's rear.
-
course, when a younger person says something, it must really chap a wayfer's rear that they can't just start repeatedly hitting them with a stick until they conform to the correct way of thinking. I can just see their faces turning red with frustration. ahh, poor wayfers

If she opted not to receive earlier, she's probably getting the fatter portion of a Social Security check. (edited cause I wrote ".... check" and the editor/filter thingy saw it as foot check. )

Wayfers typically want the upper-hand in conversations (or, at least think they have it). It's what they've practiced at fellowship and witnessing. They can't control a conversation online like they can't in person, especially one that continues indefinitely. Everyone here has the resources of the web to verify information. A wayfer can't "create" and control their own little world here. There's no closed door meetings and no LC to barge in and give "light" in situations and give ultimatums to dissenters.

You, . . . are in dire need of a potato cannon. (no pun intended) it'll lift yur spurts
