  1. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20101218&content_id=16343076&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb If it weren't for the pats and Cs . . . It'd be a really long winter. Hopefully, the new site will have a baseball thread for next season. ( and if you guys are ever passing through . . . I know a good coffee shop in Yellow Springs, OH . . . bolshevik29@gmail.com)
  2. Don't you wish parenting duties came with a a Mod . . . you know . . . for the ugly times . . . . . . "I am not your dad right now . . . I'm ModDad . . . now behave yourself and I will go . . . when your dad gets back . . . be angry with ModDad . . . not dad . . . they are different . . ."
  3. It would be awesome if a lot of the info in these threads were streamlined for a new site. Wordwolf for example wrote a thread going over "The Way living in love". A thread like that could be made into an article for discussion . . . if the writer were willing . . . maybe like was done with Penworks' article. How many is it posted here "we've discussed that earlier" . . . concise articles would be easier references than reading old threads.
  4. Google has a service you pay for to make your site the #1 hit. . . at least to get the name out.
  5. It is metamorphosing into a new site . . . unless the winter thaws and freezes it too frequently . . . then yes, it will close.
  6. could Mr. Pawtucket (soon to be Emeritus) just hand over/sell the rites/hardware to the site?
  7. Your new site should definitely have games . . . like Doom . . . only AotS version
  8. Well I'd certainly welcome the conflict . . . it sure is nice to disagree, after twi. . . . T&O! T&O! T&O! (that's to help psych you up T&O)
  9. Foxhaven.com (Rosie's little "estate" is called this) can I be a mod? . . . "bless patrol"--> "Q-tippin' "
  10. I'm sure you've heard of Bob Feller . . . hadn't heard much about him if at all . . . but . . . http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/obituaries/articles/2010/12/16/bob_feller_92_hall_of_famer_had_blazing_fastball/?p1=Features_link1 . . . he sounds he was an okay guy to me.
  11. :biglaugh: Who's our agent? Perhaps a third-party site will swoop in at the last minute with a more alluring offer.
  12. Just wanted to say it agin' . . . 'cause times runnin' out.
  13. pretty much every joe believer and his sister told stories of their own. Too bad these aren't as documented as the patriarch's.
  14. I'm sure they have list of butt-in-ski questions involving fig leaves and comely parts.
  15. I see what was wrote . . . sorry if I've missed your point. I can see how SIT would benefit a few individuals personally. That would be the individual's quirk. There seems to be a suggestion that those who don't see a benefit simply aren't doing it right or haven't truly experienced SIT. (In general, not from anyone in particular). I don't buy that it opens us up to suggestion. Orchestrated amidst other mindless activity, it might play some role in being influenced. That would depend on the individual as well, IMO.
  16. That hole might be evident in later innings? If we get some productive arms, the backstop might be compensated for.
  17. That there is a non-uniform expression from those who have experienced with the natural phenomenon of SIT . . . would indicate there may be no intended purpose, design, or selection for its use. If wearing a thong helps one's batting average . . . have at it.
  18. what's that phrase used in the class? SIT bypasses that part of the reasoning part of the mind blah blah? something #1 is bypassing something #2? somebody help me . . . what form of logic is that?
  19. maybe it's like walking and chewing gum . . . or rubbing your belly and patting your head ^_^ They could often site "look, I can SIT and shoot a basket", for example. Some people are better at multitasking than others. I can drink a beer and watch a game at the same time. Perhaps my focus is diverted for a second and I miss a play. It takes some, small amount of energy to tell yourself "SIT. . .okay . . . keep doing it . . . now stop . . . no no no . . . don't stop". Mental energy that could be used somewhere else. At some point it becomes a mindless habit. It's like intentional daydreaming, you could say. Why ponder when you can SIT?
  20. there's a sports bar nearby that Justin Masterson's Mom frequents . . . to my knowledge he's not particularly happy in Cleveland . . . Vmart was fun . . . but was he worth the trade? We could use a few arms.
  21. Speak in Tongues! Speak in Tongues! Do it every day Oh what joy, it is to know in the spurut we cans pray! magnifying God giving rest unto the soul blah blah blah blah blah etc etc
