Yeah I'm wondering if this craving for anger is maybe a response to the absence of other emotions . . . anger being the only acceptable form of emotion became an outlet for the others. and further if denying emotional input to one's mind leaves one in an altered reality.
-
If someone is suppressing emotions/feelings . . . they're denying information about themselves and the environment to their mind, no? Would this be an altered perception? A lost ability?
-
Yeah it wasn't a good teaching until someone raised their voice. The yelling could be a bad experience. Most people understand that. In "the world", expressing anger as was down in the Way is frowned upon. It was much harder to tolerate the silence. No reaction to stimuli. Staring off into space for hours followed by witnessing smiles and then some yelling while holding a bible. But the silence was the worst. IMO. Yelling at a wayfer has little effect. They don't seem to have any emotion, what do they feel? Are their internal senses completely gone?

I had a similar experience when a relative died. (There's no need for sadness when this life will be forgotten in eternity.) Emotion is considered weakness. (Unless it's "spiritual anger"). Might individuals in the Way be confusing suppressing emotion with managing emotion?
-
Interesting, thanks Skyrider. I'm wondering if there are unintended effects of the "no-fear doctrine" on the individual's mind?
-
Wayfers are known for plastic smiles and vacant stares. Wayfers pride themselves on having "no fear". Fear is an emotion. By denying that they feel fear, are they in the process blocking out, or desensitizing feeling of other emotions as well?

Don't feel sorry Rascal. I meant that in a rhetorical way.

Family politics and The Way Retardnational. I wish it got easier as time goes on. Why did the generation before us join and bring this crap into everyone's life? Maybe The Way is just a symptom of a bigger problem . . . and maybe that's where energy needs to be focused.

'Don't' go beyond what you are taught . . . is what was implied "stay in your lane" . . . "the work has been done" lazy . . . someone said PFAL/WAP grad = BUM

Even at STS they'd state plainly that the words they spoke were more real than the chair you were sitting in. So we willing give up our own individual idea of what's real and hand it to them to mold? I guess if you enjoy the high of a Superhuman feeling that comes with that slavery it's worth it to you.

I don't really know what "exercising the senses" really means. I do know two or more people can be in the same room and sense with however many senses the same things, and in some cases and individual can "sense" a few more things. How that information is interpreted by each individual is something else. Some people can pick up on more based on education, experience and practice. In the Way, if one person happens to "perceive" something others don't . . . if that individual believes to have anyway . . . that could easily be extrapolated to be something spiritual. Having a receptive audience helps validate those ideas too.

So this must have great believing . . . or completely possessed . . . or simply doesn't pay attention to any of the rules

"Spiritual Smelling Sense" . . . the "SSS" Like a snake sound you hear . . . sssssss . . . a snake with a tongue . . . which you taste with . . . whose advices helps you grasp the feel of a fruit . . . that opens your eyes . . . but snakes don't perceive with ecolocation . . . seems out of balance? Wayfers only recognize 5 natural senses Natural man recognizes more than 5 natural senses Therefore natural, worldly folk . . . are the Superheros

I perceive things . . . things . . . others don't . . . At the same time . . . others perceive things I don't . . . dammit So which reality really matters?

It takes some time to mentally put up boundaries and ignore TWI. I don't think your son will respond the same way you would to TWI chatter . . . he doesn't have your experiences and who knows what he really thinks?
-
The Red Sox are always the better team, johniam ;)

Are you really worried about what your son will hear Nero? He might surprise you.

If I stay up late watching shows about Bigfoot on a regular basis I tend to see him more often . . . way off in the distance . . . behind that rock . . . at least I think it's a rock . . . it's really far off and hard to make out clearly . . . which is annoying because it obstructs my view of Bigfoot on my way by.

SIT/prophecy was always a very humiliating experience. I feared fellowship all day because I knew I would likely be called upon. If I wasn't called upon, I felt relieved. If I was, I felt ashamed when it was over. In exceler sessions you were taught to practice with different syllables, try a new language maybe. Wasn't that supposed to be their god's decision? If your prophecy was not inspiring, or redundant, or similar to what the last person just "prophecied" . . . you got yelled at. Clearly, you had not studied enough or been SITing privately enough. If you paid attention, some people always spoke in tongues the same way each time . . . but the interpretation would be different. No Rosetta stones for SIT. I was lying. They were lying. We were lying. Some folks had a natural gift . . . but it clearly wasn't supernatural.

That makes me wonder if would have been better to keep him alive. At least we knew who to keep pressure on.

hahaha If you build it . . .

I don't see what this has to do with anything. Helps if you use the " ", or start another thread
