What curveball? Not on here everyday. PROVE IT. The innies have known for decades. Nothing is a surprise.

Your reality does not exist.

*checks calender* . . . Those folks, assuming they actually existed, ha ha ha , what do they have to do with modern seniors? Those folks belong in myth. How much do relevant discussions of twi need to involve them? If this were 20 years ago, maybe. Today, it's as if they never existed. They exist in discussion to hide other matters. They're not here, they don't matter. When dealing with modern wayfer seniors, does the past behavior of twi matter? Is it relevant? Doesn't johniam have a point? *digs canal*

Um, to be IN twi, you've already been socially punished and expelled. Yep
-
The thread also ignores the words of all those aging wayfers. Words told to the next generation for decades. That's not twi's work. Just gloss over that part.
-
There's no sidetracking absurdness. Rosie and co. are immortal in this thread, I think.

I'm just happy if a find a group whose company I enjoy. I do whatever they're into and don't think about it much. Every year could be a different experience.
-
Now, if we could just figure who THEY are . . .
-
A video should be made . . . photoshopped with vpw . . . a video made just for the last person on earth who is still standing on da verd. It can be given to seniors in their nursing homes or whatever. "This came from HQ, you're officially the last one standing, YOU WIN!" It'll be a waybrain dream come true . . . everyone was kicked out but you! And there will be no need for them to commune with other wayfers . . . since there are none. They can sit alone SITing. Instructions from vpw on what to do/not do will be in the video. No more need to witness or anything . . . just keep it to yourself and wait for the return . . . it's God's Will.

Innies have no friends when it comes to The Word. Are such things even important to them? Do "genuine" "wayfers" have genuine friends? (Maybe that's what you meant, Skyrider?) Do they fellowship out of desire or because it's "The Word"? Aging wayfers have demands of others, as they always have. Do we aid in maintaining their reality?

The senior citizens in twi . . . I doubt they're going anywhere. Innies til death, unfortunately. Hope for your sake you've chosen better friends.
-
You addressed me earlier. Maybe there was some confusion. The thread was about senior citizens in twi now . . . at least that's how I perceived it. Which is not simple. Nor can be ignored.
-
Not sure they are. If it's about keeping people in twi, because that's where they are most stable, adapted and content. Yes, that's one idea. Pointed the problem at twi, that never helps. The house always wins.
-
Has anyone asked them? And what DO you wish to do with those people? Do you have a solution? You do remember what twi's solution was?

Love him or hate him, he is given so much credit and admiration here. A blight now? You'd think more would be written about his handiwork. (And yes, I don't like him or his work either). Grit, not skill, usually determines success. Stolen work, the environment of the United States, ad hoc nonsense. Shunned by most, right? A Master?

Did anyone actually live the "abundant life"?
Bolshevik replied to waysider's topic in About The Way
Probably yeah . . . although in something like twi though I think it's much more personal than a physical product. The "nay-sayer" being family/social group at times . . . irrational gut reactions like this harder to view objectively. -

This is probably the bigger question. I'm venturing to say there is no one answer, not even for one person. TWI is the opposite of NO FEAR. Like with many religions, a good percentage of people involved knows it is false. There's greed, there's social/family ties folks don't want to sever, there's thinking they have no other place to go, there's a simply a cozy laziness to it - Too many thought processes and habits would have to change to do something else. Maybe they need to prove the nay-sayers wrong? -

Isn't the goal post later moved from "abundant life" to "future rewards"? -
Of course it took work. Sounds like an opportunist though. He wasn't really that impressive and skillful? He left LCM. A master would have shared his skills with . . . someone. If he did, who?
-
Weirwille was a master? Not simply surrounded by easily suggestable, naieve youth?

Since this phenomena is repeatable, almost predictable, there's a strong temptation to accuse a Wayfer of lying. That seems like a lot of work on their part, and an awkward conversation. If there was some way to describe it . . . It be easier to explain to someone with no experience with it.

Thanks Waysider. Interesting article. I've had the same conversations with some wayfers over and over. Because the don't remember the content from the last dozen times. I've learned to expect that and not get frustrated. I know in the Way they deny having the experience of emotions. If information, by conversation or an event, stirs an emotion, do you think they block it out? Hi Ex, thanks for your posts :)

Right if things are out of balance the wheel eventually falls off. If someone does not feel fear, do they not feel other emotions, like love? (That leaves a void to be redefined by someone else?) Are their experiences, their perspectives, so different that you can't treat them as being part of the same(or similar) reality as yourself? I've noticed, some of use leave The Way and remember certain events, can compare notes and agree about what happened. Others, still on the kool-aid, come up with altered stories. I'm not entirely meaning the interpretations, but the facts of the events themselves. Being able to rewrite history is quite a tool. However, if they are so different, they're not really re-writing the past. Their minds altered the present as it happened?

I'd like to de-emphasize the anger aspect of this. The silent empty eyes are more unnerving, to me anyway. Is it impossible to communicate with a Wayfer? Is it like showing paintings to a blind person and expecting some new perspective? Are they simply . . . unaware . . . unable . . . they're minds shot . . . due to the teachings and mental practices of The Way?
