Does anyone know the story behind why Bowling Green became the college of choice for a lot of Wayfers? When did that begin? I didn't go to Bowling Green, but I felt a lot of heat at that time with my experience. I suspect a correlation, at least.

I do enjoy when a topic detours into a more interesting, unforeseen topic. But there is just too much here, I'd need you to narrow down what you want to discuss. I was going to post a few links. Coming from TWI where emotion is to be ignored folks have the "plastic cult face", there are interesting topics to discuss i.e. Does morality come from reason or emotion? What purpose do emotions serve and how should we respond to them? And yes, I can imagine getting married based on "doctrinally governed intellect" . . .bleh . . .

Waysider, I've also used to have frequent access to "The Book of Life". I was reminded since you mention the files you were destroying. It was an old computer (with green block cursor) that listed everyone ever. Could look up how many classes you'd taken, if you still stood, and who marked and avoided you. (I used to meet some weirdos, could then look them up on the "Book of Life", just so I could know just HOW weird this person was, and then apply the appropriate level of weird back at them.) If that information ever fell into the wrong hands, there would be no defense against THEM. (edited to fix link)

I think I remember The Grapevine. The Grapevine was later renamed Household Heartbeat. LCM had everyone in TWI accounted for, (including the field) for Y2K. I had to travel hundreds of miles for one week so I wouldn't go missing when the computers came alive and ate our brains. It was a big disturbance for me that came with unforeseen consequences. I was still a teenager so I couldn't argue too much. Parallel horsecrude. "They" are gonna get you. My guess, LCM was looking for opportunity to do what VPW did once. Or many times.

I'm aware that many things happened before I was born. I'm also aware that history repeats. I'm also aware the TWI I experienced was a desperate and lame attempt to get back to 40 years ago.

This sounds familiar to something I experienced under LCM. (Which really upset me at the time). May I ask what happened with JBS and TWI?

I'm not sure where "suffering" came from in this discussion. My understanding is that from TWI's viewpoint "suffering" would be un-Biblical. Maybe you mean something broader, but I don't want to speculate.

It lasted, or continues to last, depending on how you define "lasting". You could argue "it" simply never was. A cult is about finding vulnerable minds and hearts and aiding them to be comfortable in that weak, immature state. Like Rosie said, if people no longer want what TWI provides, they should be free to move on.

Being Christ-In meant more eternal rewards and greater favor, certainty, access and knowledge of how the spirit-realm works for every individual. As apposed to a few spokespeople. I understood it to be a higher, more developed, mature stage of being.

Casting lots occurs before the day of Pentecost. This happened when spirit was upon, not in, and information was less clear, so casting lots were helpful. Therefore no, Christians, being part of the Age of Grace, should not vote. Biblically speaking.
