  1. I've witnessed leadership, one limb leader comes to mind, who would talk under his breathe as he spoke to God, but near enough people that people could hear him. This wasn't really prayer I don't think. At least not exactly done in the closet. He was responding to God about revelation God revealed to his mind. God of course, knows our thoughts. God reveals information via revelation. One can conclude that, leadership, who works for God, can know your thoughts. You should therefore, always spill your guts to leadership. They will know what you're really thinking anyway. Probably not something unique to The Way. Did VPW start this sort of idea in The Way?
  2. Neither did these guys: LINK We could argue VPW's degrees were worthless, so are a lot of folks'. And, well, maybe VPW started a cult as a way to pay off student loans. And well, HERE. If getting Degrees was the in thing, VPW could argue that. If not getting degrees was the new wave, VPW could argue that? VPW was all things to all men. (I think that's biblical sounding)
  3. Awesome T-Bone! There's a lot of fascinating aspects to understanding cancer, but that is beyond the scope of this site. But here's another link anyway. https://www.theguardian.com/education/2001/sep/06/medicalscience.healthandwellbeing
  4. http://www.nature.com/news/2003/031021/full/news031020-2.html here's another link. It's implications, I think, are clear. Companies like Monsanto have been doing this a long, long, looong time.
  5. I was never corps/jc. It is my understanding that LCM, in his righteous dance-off against the invisible, ripped the veil top to bottom. He made no distinction between jew and gentile, corps and non-corps, human beings and slime molds.
  6. Yes, just as with the New Yorker, Way Mag Versus Gay Mag. Rosie O' D, Trump's nemesis, will appear in a red leotard. Instead of the VPW auditorium, The World will be their stage.
  7. Familiar Spirits. The Adversary is copying LCM, again.
  8. We need to build bombs. MORE bombs. BIGGER bombs. Bunch of dumb-dumb ignoramuses. It's THE WORD Ah, LCM, he gave an inner voice to those who had none.
  9. Basically an old-fashioned Facebook News-Feed.
  10. Each one of these letters could be a thread of its own. Spring 1982. Isn't this whole letter VPW saying if you're not CORPS, you ain't worth a damn? This is an attitude that was always present, but rarely articulated, in TWI. People will deny it, but here it is?
  11. April 25, 1979 Translation: VPW is mediator between God and Corps. If you're lucky enough to be Corps. God gave you to VPW. I'm not really sure, this seams forced. But I'm sure many can only see the LOVE in these statements.
  12. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photolyase Just posting this link. Cause I think it's cool. You can follow other related links within the wiki article.
  13. Everything gives off something. Dust bunnies under the fridge contain debil spurts. You don't want those in your home, do you? Un-mowed grass has the power to take down HQ. So naturally cancer is like dust bunnies in your body.
  14. In this thread, TLC has anthropromorphized both this thread and Quantum Physics. That's a type of magical thinking, I think. Not important. Just pointing that out.
  15. I hope identifying our differences in understanding on the topic of believing isn't considered "tearing down".
  16. okay . . I will try here. It sounds like you're saying Believing is Obedience. Obedience exactly to what, is what's open to interpretation. (His Word, which is not defined) To me you are suggesting that the heart is someone's free will.
  17. Well if anything, "simple believing", has once again been demonstrated to be a lie. It's an umbrella term for countless natural/mental phenomena. Is it even possible to be on the same page when discussing it with those who promote/defend it? It's a shifty doctrine by nature. Maybe T-Bone, the idol is the only unifying, or shareable, aspect between people who subscribe to The Law of Believing, . . . is that what was meant? edited for clarity
  18. Romans 3:27 seems to be in the context of faith in Jesus, or some variant of that.
  19. Does the Law of Believing, *cough*, "work", in the absence of Wierwille Worship?
  20. Issues with The Law of Believing? k . . Get your thoughts words and actions going in the same way. So if you get your words and actons going, but not your thoughts, they get you for lying. YOU are the bad guy. Not the doctrine. IT'S A TRAP
  21. I got the idea from the JP sears video earlier in this thread on the law of attraction . . . I thought it fit. Also . . . when you changed your perception of your experience of VPW's intent with the dog video, . . did you change the past? Because you can't change the past. Edited to add I've wondered if the "ego inflation" aspect of The Law of Believing acted as a positive feedback mechanism to keep people coming back for more. People who join cults are often in a weakened state? So wouldn't ego inflation/believing make them feel better?
  22. Well, for starters, how has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? Not that there isn't, unless there is. Not that I'm saying you did, but you did.
  23. Magical thinking is a mental tool used by all minds (human and animal). It is an evolved mental process. The Law of Believing is specifically conditioning your own magical thinking to the completely imagined reality of The Way. Group self-delusion. Which is why nobody, ever, has been able to explain The Law of Believing in practical terms. Just throwing that out there.
  24. Thanks for the Matthew Hutson link, Rocky. He has more detailed work out there with countless examples that I found very enlightening concerning typical, natural, rational, human behavior. Magical thinking is part of all our daily functioning. I recently told someone to "cross their fingers". In the past, under the influence of Waybrain thinking, I probably would have said "be believing for", in place of crossing fingers. I don't believe crossing your fingers has any affect on the greater world, but I use the expression. Both "crossing your fingers" and "believing for" can be considered magical thinking, IMO, although there may be some differences? For one Believing involves use of the spirit realm. You Believe, and God goes to work since you have Him under contract with this signed document called, The Bible. A wayfer could accuse someone "crossing their fingers" as utilizing devil-spirit powers, since they are being "superstitious". Believing is also more commanding. A Way Believer is conditioned to act as if results happened, not hope for them. I don't think "knocking on wood" is very Godly under Waybrain. Perhaps Believing is used to replace any common-sense magical thinking in TWI? Maybe, maybe not. Just some thoughts, interesting thread.
