  1. ((((Excie)))), WOW!!! What a truly selfless and Loving thing to do!!!! She will always love and remember You! Charactor counts on all "stages"!!! Such a Grrrredreat example was Your gift to her, far more precious and priceless than the money You returned to Her!!! Your act of kindness may snowball into a "Pay It Forward" type attitude or situation in the long run and at the very least; You know what You are truly made of and how GOD sees You!!!

  3. Dear (((((Geisha)))), Geisha Said: "Having said that --feeling good to have been able to--I expressed what I believe, but will recap for you. My "Scolding" was not really so much that--as frustration for having my thoughts mischaracterized. But, it is a less than perfect medium and I am verbose. You can see my faith in the words of Sunesis--Bride-- Rainbowgirl and a few others that post here--we have come to similar conclusions. I suspect they have a great deal more gray matter than I, but then again I am a blonde! " Geisha, I am very honored by your compliment, but I would have to come along way to measure up with the caliber of people You so lovingly placed me in! I am awed that You pour your beautiful heart out to the en th degree in each and every one of Your posted...You just exude Love and I am proud to know You! GOD Bless, You for Your Great Love and kindness!!! (Incidentally, I am sure GOD and Jesus Christ enjoy Your posts even more than I do!!!) ((((Bramble)))), I am sorry for disrupting the topic to say this; but this thread kind of feels like we are all sitting in a café, sharing coffee or drinks, but mostly Our Hearts with true Understanding, Love and Compassion!!! The Respect and Listening really shows in this Thread. It seems that we All took the time to read one another's well thought out posts and then stopped a while and deliberately thought over our responses, because we Love and respect each other so much!!! It's awesomely beautiful to see and be part of a thread where we All went the extra mile and made these efforts!!! Thank You!!!!!!
  4. Greasy Tech, or any of the Grease Spot tech's can you stop this from automatically playing here and in my profile please or teach me how to fix it??? Or anyone else??? Thank You RainbowsGirl
  5. I won't restate what You Geisha or WordWolf confirm from GOD's Word! I believe it and support it because it is GOD's Word. I am a Christan! If you study this strictly from every aspect of the Word of GOD itself, without preconceptions it is clearly and evidently seen. GOD's Heart, His Plan, His Ways, His Thoughts are a Big job to study and to know, even when we have been studying for years as I have and most of us here. (((Bramble))), I am not motivated by fear of Hell, Eternal Damnation, the Lake of Fire or lack of Rewards at the Bema to Love God, to study His Word, and do my best to understand keep it without adding to it or subtracting from it: Rev 22:18 ¶ For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book. I always knew I needed salvation I am a sinner; and that some things are true and some things are are false, and much is riddled with half truths and mingled with lies. That is why I chose GOD. GOD doesn't change...mankind does!!! We are saved through GOD's Love and I believe that once saved always saved...so we will then be gathered before the judgments, and only judged by Christ at the Bema Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Rom 10:14 ¶ How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? The reasons there are divisions among us all is plain: This is man's day, He has free will to believe whatever he pleases. He can have many doctrines and practice them in whole or in part. Many think their doctrines are the only truth. Others think all doctrines are truth. GOD says he is the truth: Jhn 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Jhn 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 1Cr 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe 2Cr 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, [it] not [as] they received the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. GOD seeks his own those called before the foundation of the world...Anyone else can believe as they please: 2Th 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: Jhn 4:24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. Psa 25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Psa 100:5 For the LORD [is] good; his mercy [is] everlasting; and his truth [endureth] to all generations. Jer 9:3 And they bend their tongues [like] their bow [for] lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD. It won't matter to anyone what I think or what I believe; but to a Christian it matters what GOD thinks, Says and has written, about His Love, His Plan, Our Redemption Salvation and Judgment and His Justice!!! GOD will eventually speak to us individually on all these matters..Yet now we have His Will and Testament on how He thinks on all these matters!! ............me I am going with THAT until THEN!!! 1Cr 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. Tts 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. 2Jo 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. Remember Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, They wouldn't bow and they didn't burn; and they did it out of Love for GOD as they did not know in advance if GOD would save them from burning. GOD tells us His Plan now for Justice we can know it in advance and CHOSE; but only till GOD decides it is ended Dan 3:23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, [and] spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come [hither]. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. Dan 3:28 [Then] Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed [be] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Dan 3:29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
  6. This is such a Great Movie Is there any way I can embed it to my PC??? What would I need to have??? How do I get a HTML Raw Line break Mode??? I miss Greasy Tech!!!! :( This is from: http://www.archive.org/details/The_Lion_Who_Thought_He_Was_People
  7. Happy Birthday Priscilla!!!, Have a Wonderful Birthday! May Your Friends and Family celebrate Your life and how much You mean to them!!!God Bless You with many Wonderful Birthdays!!!We color You Very Special With Love, RainbowsGirl
  8. RumRunner and Mister P-Mosh - I agree with all the marvelous benefits You name, and I haven't called these useless or devalued them. I am asking that our goals be re-evaluated and refocused regarding the most immediate and pressing priorities this country has. We have a lot of people who are bleeding to death financially under the pressures and strain of this disastrously burdensome economy in our own country. Talking about sustaining the earth; What about sustaining people, some people are losing that battle on a very up close and personal level...eventually we will be forced to save them in an even more costly way and not so wonderful way! Some of these need our immediate time and attention. We are Trillions of dollars in debt and our "Beautiful house of glass" is ready to shatter... We cannot afford everything!!! IMO, The shatter will be in like manner as OT. Israel did as we do not reverence and respect GOD. We hew out our own doctrines...religious, scientific...You name it we have it in every color, make or version!
  9. I do agree with You. Mstar I think our priorities and money can be better spend on at least the necessities first. I know very few American households that can live beyond their means anymore...our personal debt is as much out of hand as our Countries debt is!!!!
  10. It could be more cost efficient yes and given less priority! Thank You Twinky Iwill try to read it tonight
  11. ]I am a Christan living in a predominately pluralistic society, not being a pluralist; hence, I have a bible based approach woven into my fabric. God does not change and I won't by my own deliberate free will choice...I don't exclude GOD in any evaluations, who by the way put that nature to explore and learn, imagine and grow and innovate into our genes Mal 3:6 For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Not all change is Good, Just as not all change is bad!
  12. Great point George Hey Jim, Do we not have enough people here to talk to, and try to get along with here; or are you tired of your fellow man as a species? Aliens could be smarter and nicer indeed! Then again they could be intolerant of us all together!
  13. Thank You, Geisha I also find Lewis' ideas biblically based! Maybe there is other life on other planets! GOD knows!!!
  14. Neither, am I using Christianity as an excuse or a justification for Space exploration; although we are defined by our standards and what we value....whether they are mixed, varied or not mixed or not varied! Some things don't change, but that does not relegate them to "backward mentality" It isn't fear of venturing out I am concerned with. It is cost and goals!
  15. "(Mister P-Mosh @ Aug 26 2008, 09:39 AM) I am very opposed to limiting science based on the bible or any religion." GM Jr's quote - I agree wholeheartedly. Religious interference has a track record for impeding the advances of science. From Galileo being under house arrest for declaring the earth to be round...to stem cell research. GrouchoMarxJr. - Might many of the religious and scientific doctrinal divisions and webs of confusion be due to man's free will ability to hew out as many cisterns and theories as he wills or desires. The arguments go on endlessly and sometimes we agree on the same things for different doctrinal reasons, and yet substantial, even godly reasons as well?! Who can even sort through them all; there are too many...we are flooded with them. Maybe we should consider this delema...The web of doctrines we have! GM Jr's quote - IMHO, God is objective beyond man's ability to understand objectivity. GOD's objectivity is not flawed...Man's is flawwed and subject to constant change...of doctrine or theory or whatever whim he chooses to entertain
  16. Doojable - "I recall reading that C.S. Lewis believed in life on other planets, and also believed that the distances between our star and theirs was intended by God to quarantine Earth from them, because Earth had succumbed to original sin. In his view, Earthlings are the virus and the rest of the universe needs to be protected from us. It's an interesting theory. I'm not sure I believe it - but pondering different possibilities is infinitely better than the alternative. Inquiry and exploration is woven into the human fabric." This is a very interesting theory as theories go and I agree with you! I Love that we can think, dream, wonder at search out and refine the practicality of things; through all the various mediums; whether through, artistically express, write form, research, or whatever other form, so we may enjoy and utlize all of our vast resourses. I chose to do this under GOD's standard, I actually see His standard as the most scientific!
  17. GSG - I too have heard LCM state this, and I do not remember when or where exactly; I think it was on a SNS tape...when He was talking about how we were going to be in trouble if we didn't keep our military strong! Psalm 19 is a beautiful psalm and demonstrates to me as a Christian that GOD as the "master in chief" of all scientists! Mister P-Mosh - IMHO, Christianity does not discount or devalue science, we merely see and understand it with respect and reverence to GOD and His Word! I don't feel qualified to answer all the questions that I posed, nor am I implying that we should not enjoy and value scientific research and explore and understand the planets, stars and galaxies. I do however question the expense and goals of space exploration. Even science marvels at and cannot definitively explain all the wonders of the Universe! Rocky - I always understood it to be referring to earth as Genesis predominately refers to the creation of the earth in respect to Adam and Eve. Yet I see Your point the Heavens were also formed and created. knowing that Adam and Eve's limited knowledge in comparison with GOD's knowledge and the impending lose of spiritual connect It would seem that space exploration was not yet an option for them. The going forth in the to multiply: Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. was specific to them and since that was the only place they could go in their time frame! Yet, my scope may be far too limited! Maybe You should add in what you suggested? Twinky - "Maybe God put the other planets (and other solar systems) sufficiently out of reach so that we wouldn't be able to reach them. Let's face it. A lot of effort has been put into stuffing up this planet. Not so much effort into the clean-up. If you don't have to clean up but can just ship the select few out to other planets, why not just do that? Instead of cleaning up your own back yard." These are very good points and they are why I question at least the expense and goals of NASSA. Waysider - God forbid we should cancel the Space program, but maybe we should revise and/or revamp it to better accommodate "Captain Brainstorm"
  18. This is an excellent link Waysider and establishes that there are many benefits from space exploration, many more than I knew of! Do You think that the Space Station is a benefit that will serve us similarly or within GOD's time frame, before Christ's Return?
  19. This is a link I was was reading as one resourse - http://www.christiananswers.net/q-eden/edn-c012.html "Why would God create such a vast universe if it is only for those on the planet Earth? What purpose does the universe hold? Frankly, God has not revealed all the answers, but he has shared at least some of the reasons: LIGHT, TIME-KEEPING AND NAVIGATION. Scripture tells us that God created the Sun, Moon and stars to give light (brightening the utter darkness of the night sky) and to assist mankind (Genesis 1:14-15, etc.). That's right, one of the reasons that God made the Moon, solar system and stars was to provide a way for us to distinguish the passage of time (days, months and years) and predict the coming of seasons. Without these heavenly bodies, the job of keeping time and navigation would have been far more difficult. We learn from history that from the earliest days, ancient peoples used the movement of stars in producing their calendars and finding their way across great distances, just as God designed from the beginning. It may be that even some migrating birds make use of the constellations. GLORIFYING THE CREATOR. Another purpose for the myriad of stars is to bring glory to God—focusing man's attention on the Creator's awesome power and greatness. Psalm 19:1 states, “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.” The vastness of the universe is a tremendous expression of God's might and power. God is greater than we could ever imagine, even greater that His spectacular creation, the universe. Psalm 8:1,3,9 states, “O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Thy name in all the earth, Who hast displayed Thy splendor above the heavens! …When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which Thou has ordained; …O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Thy name in all the earth!”
  20. The Space Station seemed eerily too isolated and too desolate for me to handle! Tour of the International Space Station Inside the space station I have these Questions: Were we meant to live on other planets? I am not saying that I am that acquainted enough with NASSA’s Programs or its Projects, nor their risks necessities or benefits! I am wondering if Biblically from GOD‘s view point, is it necessary or warranted to build space stations? Throughout the Bible God states his reasons for the sun, the moon, the stars and the planets in their courses; and I find nothing yet to date that indicates that the money we continually spend on the Space Programs, now and throughout it’s history to be justifiably warranted. What are Your thoughts? Is Space Exploration a real benefit or necessity? Does anyone think we will ever relocate to outer space or other planets?
  21. "Blue Beauty", That is an awesome slide show! The Space Station seemed eerily too isolated and desolate for me to handle!
  22. Hey ((((Jonny!!!)))

    Where is my next Stowree???

You should submit them for publication...They are all very GOOOOOD!!!

    Bravo, Bravo...Encore, Encore!!!!

  23. I Think that GOD has waaayyyyy more than doubled His Gifts to All of Us!!! Here are a very few of the ways that I count: Through His unsearchable Love, We never will understand fully the far reaching greatness of His Love!!! Through His Word and His Will, He has taught us the Truth and shown us His Heart, and His Strength, and His Constancy, and His Omnipotence!!! Through His Son Christ Jesus, who Redeemed and Sanctified Us and Paid in full the price for Our Salvation! With His Grace, Withholding the justices We deserve for all the evil and cruel deeds that We have committed! With His Mercy, giving us Christ as our advocate and Intercessor!!! By His Forgiveness, He forgives as none other can or would and He remembers it no more!!! The countless times He has saved our lives...whether or not we were aware of it!!! Every countless time He healed Us!!! Every time He Comforted Us when Our hearts were Broken!!! Every time He even Loved Us when We were shamefully unlovable and breaking His heart!!! He isn't a fickle "Fair Weather Friend" or in anyway like us in our frail human ways! Every time We Pray, He Hears Us and More often than not He Gives Us things we need before we ask or without our even asking Him!!! He knows Us through and through and yet He still wants to spend eternity with Us!!! We are always watched and cared for each and every millisecond of our lives!!! What A Sense of Humor GOD must have...to be everywhere Present with Us! Who comforts Him when We break His heart (figuratively)..... When We Love, Honor, Respect Him and Have Eyes to see and Ears to hear...I think that is His comfort!!! You Do The math!!!
  24. Who Ever did this....Really should take credit!!! ....ahhh but there probably would be a nasty lawsuit!!!
