Hey, are any of you truly former 9th Corps? I heard the guys in flying saucers came and took them all away. Now because the use of"user names", and Screen Names is so popular...one cannot be sure that the 9th Corps has been taken away or not. Now they thing were are bugs! I always knew they hated us out of jealousy :) After all, we were the Corps that loved unconditionally and also the largest Corps If I remmember correctly.

Yes this false teaching of the Way was a tool for the evilone to bring condemnation upon the Christian believer. To me the teaching,"All believing = receiving is like witchcraft. My our Works of Beleiving, we make God to heal us, nor not heal us. We make God do things if we believe in General if it is a LAW. The Way had no Way of dealing with real life and human suffering that we are go through because of the Sin of Adam and Eve. Suffering has become part of life, and good people, holy people, go through the hardest of times and sufferings it seems. The Psalms are full of such examples. Human Suffering for Christians or non Christians will not end until Christ Comes back for the last Judgement. The Key in this life is to remain faithful to God not only when things go good but in bad times. I have been married for 24 years now; for better for worst, for richer of poorer, in sickness and health, to death do us part. I have experienced all these things in life and in marriage, I am still married and love my Wife and Still in Relation with God and Love him. All beleing does not equal receiving let me tell ya. Dear Friend: I can understand how frustrated you must get with all these phone calls, and hearing all the complaints that are directed to you can become overwhelming; you did not set the policy and you are helpless in assisting them. The World is run by the prince of this world. It will try to cause all the havac it can to people. When these people call you, they are feeling helplessness in this situation in their lives, they don't know how they are going to make ends meet. Perhaps the best you can do for them is be a listen ing ear, try to show some encourgement to them some words of Hope. Pray for them. I have been in terrible finacial situation in my life due to illnesess and unability to work. I took me two years to get Social Security Disability. If it were not for friends from our Church, we would have become homeless. We had a home on Cape Cod MA, I built it, had my own business as a barber, but then all these things happend in my life, and my wife is unable to work, and not eligible collect Social security Disability because she had not worked enough weeks or months...she had been on Staff at the Way for several years, and they didnt take our SSI from her paycheck of only $150.00 a month. Whe she wanted to get car, she has to beg them to increase her wages to $300.00 a month, and they thought they were doing her a big favor. She was overwroked in food services for many years. Her appretice year she worked as house elf for Donna Randal. Well, anyway, because of my own personal experience, and do the the nature of my non pay working job of helping people via a Society that I belong to, Called, St. Vincent de Paul Society,( we help the poor by helping them get furniture, help with paying utilities, clothing etc.), I hear the same emtional needs and disparation. I treat them with the dignity befitting anyone who was made in the image of God. I am reminded by the word of Jesus,"whatsoever you do to the least of these my brothers, you do unto me". They Way, taugth us a Calvanistic approach to things..During the Reformation, Calvin had the notion that everyone was predestioned to either be eternally dammned or have eternal life in Christ. Those that had money were blessed by God, and those that had not were like that because God willed it. Now take that notion and add the Ways Teaching on Beliving equals receiving, the aboundant sharing formula, and the only answer they thought of was make these poor slobs take the PFAL Class and teach them. However, in the old and new Testament, God willed that people help the poor, the Word of God has so much about our responsibility to the poor, it is amazing that Churches like the Way ignore the mandates to help those in need. So what has happend is that one of the political parties took it upon itself to fight for the needs of the poor , but lost its soul on moral issues, such as abortion, gay rights, euthanasia, embrionic stem cell reseach , taking God out of the Schools, promoting all the sexual divient things that our sick society allows. The other party while claiming to be God Fearing People, shows a lack of concern for the poor and would end all social assistant programs to if it could. Radical Capitalism is just as bad as Communism. Well, sorry if I carried on and on, but I am passionate about things at times. In God's love and peace, Joe

Yeah, I took the Class in December of 76 and Phil Sabastian was my Branch and Twig Coordinator. I knew the whole lot you spoke of and Megan who married Geoff Latchaw, they are now in Iowa, with Dana Armstrong. Then Ken Barten came to Paterson, NJ and was Branch Leader. Then Steve and Cindy Miller (6th corps) where the branch leaders. I got into the Word with Steve and Rita Migliore, my 11th Corps Brother and Sister. Peace, Joe

I do believe that this STFI is now a ministry in crisis. But just like with TWI, I believe that CES was started with the benefit of God's people in mind. I Well that might be true, but the Jehovah witnesses, Mormans, Childern of God, etc etc, could all say the same thing. Sincerity does not equal truth.

Well, I know in the Begining that Sue Pierce from the 11th Corps was part of CES, but when she told me that the Lord spoke to her about the Trinity being Ture, and Jesus was God etc, She told John Lynn about that. She ceased being part of CES. She Studied I believe in Denver Seminary, and is now an ordained minister in a major denomination. If the CES would teach what all Christians know to be true about Deity of Jesus Christ, and get rid of the other teaching about the Soul of man being asleep until the gathering together, they would have been accepted. Why must they hold on to false doctrine that were taught by the Big Mother Cult, the Way? There are writting called the Church Fathers, or Patristic Teachings of the Early Christian Fathers and Writters. These documents are from the direct successors of the Original Apostles. I think you would all be amazed what the Church of the First and Second Century truly belived and practice. Why didn't VPW tell us about these great Works of Theology when we were in the Corps? After all us grads go a degree in Theology that is not worth anything in the Academic World? Joe

Rape is one of the offences I believe should be punished by imprisonment for life at the very least. If a person is imature, naieve, even at age 17, 18 this sometimes can be considered rape. In fact age might not matter in some case. Take for example many of young men that were raped by Catholic Priests...most of them were 16 and over...the media doesn't tell you this they want to use the word pedephilia to suggest that these preditors were after children...that was not the case. When a person has spiritual authority over another, and the victom doesn't know better, they lack the freedom of will in this situation. Another thing that can be considerd rape is for example, I will do such and such to you or your family if you don't have sex with me...that is rape in my book. Any adult who has sex with a child is guilty of rape. OF course the classical forced rape is always Rape big time. Sex with mentally disabled persons is rape too, when they don't have the faculty of reason that is necessary to know what is appropiate and what it not. Well that is my story and I am sticking to it.

Hey There! When I Graduated the 11th Corps, my first assignment was Norwalk, CT, that is correct information. Remember the mega Grocery Stew Leanard's? That was the best store experince I ever had. I like the wonderful people that I served our Branch in Norwalk. There was the Riciarrdi family that was the very best. One of his Son's Joe, left the famly business and went into the Way Corps eventually I believe. PathMart was the worst store I had been in there. The best Chinese Res. was : "The Wak". We lived on Muffin Lane, I kid you not, it was off Strawberry lane. ROFL. I am not kidding about that either. We moved around a bit. From Norwalk to Ridgefield, we lived in a cottage that was owned by Maria, an old Russian Lady who was Elena Whiteside's Mother. I used to Cut Mr. Brubeck's hair his daughter Cathy was in the 7th Corps. She Married a great guy, Arne Yagzizian. I have some good memories about the people. However, the Stresspeck was our Limb leader, and he could be a real arse and very mean SOB. Now I have heard he got humility. I wish he had it then and treated us with Dignity. Pace, Gioia! Greetings, Blessings and Salutation! I also, was a graduate of the 11th Way Corps. My Wife was a grad and long time staffer of the 7th Corps, her maiden name was Catherine Martin, who worked For Donna Randel and then for Food Services at Rome City, Gunnison and of course , the slave work weeks of Corps week and ROA. I'm Joe Pasquella, her faithful husband for 24 years, and by God's grace, never had sex with anyone since I got married, of course other than my wife. In fact it wasn't until I left the Way that I found out that Corps week was also called Score Week. Did I miss out on all the fun, or was I protected from evil? I guess that would depend on what you now believe to be true. I don't miss being in the Way for what I knew it to be, when my eyes were open. But I do miss the wonderful people that I served with in the Way Corps. How we got through it all is a miracle. I truly feel a longing for the fellowship and I miss my Corps brothers and sister very much. I can only tell you that I was ranked over the coals by the way Leadership for many reasons. I was abused in many ways. And due to an illnesses and injures, When I asked for help from my Limb Leader, he told me not to go around with a begging bowl. Seems to me they never read all those verses in the Bible that talked about believers helping one another, like in Acts. 2 , and the many things in the Old Testament, the Gospels and The Church letters. IF you were ill and didnt have things, it was after all, your own fault you were just not believing right? That was such a devilish teaching, and it hurt lots of people. Since that Way, The only Churches that seem to really go out of their way to Help the Poor Consistantly, whether or not you , Tithe or not, is the Catholic Church, and many of the Liberal Churches. Others that are more Evangelical, seem to think that only Spreading the WORD is of the importance, giving tithes to the church and the hell with those that are poor, like John Calvin, they have an Idea that this is God's will for the needy and poor to be so, so why help them, which is totally against the words of Scriputure. Anyway, I am just blowing off steam, so if I ....ed anyone off, sorry very much. When I finished High School, I wanted a couple of years, to save a bit for college. During this time I met the way and took the Class in 1976. After that it was: Don't waste your time in, "Worldly" College, and education, you need to give your life to the Lord, Go WOW, and then the Way Corps. So dumb me let them who knew everything tell me what to do, what to believe etc. And if it were not for my vocational training as a Master Barber, I wouldn't have been able to do more that wash cars or work at McDonnalds. However, being a barber ment some commitments, such as working on Saturdays. Now this conflected with the, "Worlds Idea of who should work and when, which the Way Leadership Accepted", so if I said to the Limb leader it is had to get a Saturday off for all these meetings you want me to go to, Did he rethink what he wanted to help my family at all?
