If I remember correctly, Jeff used to post here in defense of everything CES/STFI. It was natural that Greasespotters would think that he would be open to questions/dialog as to what happens with that group. Now, they submit a notice that is very generic about his departure--- "That brings us to the departure of our Home Office manager, Jeff Blackburn. Much of the competence and effectiveness of Spirit & Truth Fellowship Home Office procedures and systems is directly related to the wonderful efforts of Jeff over the last ten years. All who have been associated with this ministry during that time owe a debt of gratitude to Jeff for a job well done. Jeff and his wife Michele will be moving to the state of Rhode Island before Christmas." That is the typical corporate explanation---a non-explanation or reasonings as in a corporate statement "mistakes were made" which really says nothing about WHO, WHAT, or WHY. They certainly were not that cryptic when it came to releasing Mark G or John L. In fact, they were very open and detailed about them. If Jeff was so amazingly "competent and effective" with "wonderful efforts for a job well done and owing a debt of gratitude," then why not give an explanation of transparency? And why would Jeff, who was so strong in his desire to always defend STFI here on Greasespot, now take an opposite position and let the assumptions land where they may? They always state, "Truth Matters" but when people ask for plain truth, then the askers are made to appear foolish if they even question anything, seen in the above statement: "---we had lunch the other day and were laughing as we imagined some of the idiotic stuff that would probably be said here as a result of his departure. Ironic, no?" It is the same MO as TWI always used---take actions, explain nothing, let people stew in their own possibility assumptions. At this stage of "Truth Matters", it is just cowardly.

gosh, these "joyful" people are so plastic and rigid in their demeanor. I clicked a link and saw the listing for the Board of Directors. What happened to Vince McFadden?? I thought he was loyal for life?!

Great Posts...all of them! The bottom line is that God has written us in the book of life, and because he knows the heart of each person, he knows our motives and intent were to help all people. That was our only agenda; loving Him and having a pureness of heart towards all men will be our legacy. I only reflect on the pureness of our intentions and have moved beyond the uglies. However, we are still operating 'goodness' by revealing TWI [and offshoots] for what they are, and we are still helping anyone who needs that support.

Stephen Hawking is releasing a new book, back tracking on his view of his previous book. In 'A Brief History', when reviewing Albert Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, Hawking said, "If we discover a complete theory, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason -- for then we should know the mind of God." In his latest book, he said the 1992 discovery of a planet orbiting another star other than the Sun helped deconstruct the view of the father of physics Isaac Newton that the universe could not have arisen out of chaos but was created by God. Ahhh...the wisdom of man... http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/us_britain_hawking;_ylt=As.10PjywQNBPW1giRgXt3a2GL8C;_ylu=X3oDMTM3YjVsbHNoBGFzc2V0A25tLzIwMTAwOTAyL3VzX2JyaXRhaW5faGF3a2luZwRjY29kZQNtb3N0cG9wdWxhcgRjcG9zAzQEcG9zAzQEc2VjA3luX3RvcF9zdG9yaWVzBHNsawNnb2RkaWRub3RjcmU-

not only that, but YouTube is FREE. Web surfers can come and go in total freedom and not have to pay anything. I'm sure they think that the "Tube" is a hook of some sort to learn more---if you can stay awake long enough. None of those 'teachings' are in the least bit motivating.

Man...all that descriptive cussing! Did they at least omit "God D_ _ _ It??" Or was God fair game too?

I kept mine as a reminder to NEVER join a religion again---and yes, TWI WAS the most controlling caustic religion! It makes my throat close to think of opening that book. I switched to a clean NIV; i'll never write in another bible again!

"I bribed a Swedish professor to enhance the registration of Prozac in Sweden." 'Side Effects: Death' is the true story of corruption, bribery and fraud written by Dr. John Virapen, who has been called THE Big Pharma Insider. During his 35 years in the pharmaceutical industry internationally (most notably as general manager of Eli Lilly and Company in Sweden), Virapen was responsible for the market of several drugs, all of them with serious side effects. :o Click here two watch a short four part video: http://sideeffectsdeath.com/

I just finished reading the book and agree with Twinky's statement; "I feel ill. Very ill. Kris, it is worse than revolting. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does." I thought to myself, "Thank goodness, I now realize that my reluctance and refusal to openly witness was a GOOD thing afterall!" God Bless Kristen for having the courage to put this in a book. It was gruesome but liberating, and absolutely substantiates why leaving and speaking out is the best help you can offer to yourself and others.

The Way of today isn't anything like Martindale's way
Rejoice replied to Twinky's topic in About The Way
Just because it didn't happen to you or you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I was with TWI for 18 years and never saw or heard any of this until the big "POP" revelation. I recently finished Kristen Skegdell's book, Losing the Way. If anyone wants to understand how devious and manipulative VPW, his followers, and his successors were, this book spells it out clearly. It was all about subtle but powerful control and the underminig of one's sanity all in the name of God. -
Shellon---as I sit in prayer for you and your daughter, I see God's hand lay upon her head with the command, "She is my child, and I have imparted perfection in her heart, mind, and spirit. Nothing on the earth controls what is mine." Breathe deeply and be in peace; you and yours are bathed in love and prayer through your brothers and sisters in Christ! Love, Rejoice
