At least I know what waters I'm prowling...thththhtthhttht That's the best raspberry I can do past my teeth!

TWI 1 & 2: one drink for everytime they said "bless your hearts" was heard in the teaching. at least one drink for every time Loy said "homo" or similar statement in a teaching. one drink for every time the teacher says "I wish you could see it in the original" one drink for every time the person praying says "God" or "Lord" or "Father" or similar. After one prayer you should be sh!t faced. Thus saith the shark from hell!

This tells me something that makes me wonder... You actually prove my point with your argument. "Hate" is a strong word but it does not compare to the word "rape" and the act of rape is not adequitely described in the word.
-
John, no insult intended and I am certain that you meant no disrespect to those that have been raped...but quite frankly unless you have been raped you have no idea how inadaquite that word truly is. Strong? Only to those who have no "ginosko" knowledge.
-
Soooo...vp's a cockroach? Or did I miss something? On the other hand I cant remember a story anywhere by anyone that claimed a cockroach drugged and raped them. But I do know that their are stories about vp doing that. I personally am not a big fan of rapists, having met several hundred of varying types throughout my career. Nope...in fact I can honestly say that their whole outlook on life or rather the way that they look at or view their victims is disgusting and makes me nauseous (that's pretty hard for a shark). I dont think that Rascal "hates" anyone, I think she simply feels the deep seated revulsion that any normal, healthy person would feel towards a rapist. So in her disgust if she wishes to continue to squash the little bugger..well I say "more power to you!" The evil shark from all hell will now go troll other waters and find some food to devour. All this talk about "squashing" and nausea has made me hungry.

False Prophet or Good Minister with problems?
Eyesopen replied to now I see's topic in About The Way
As others have said "Your story is as important as any one elses here"...to that I would add that your heart is as well. You are our brother in Christ, a member of the church of the Body of this I have no doubt. Our lovely sister Dooj has trusted us with her story and she has used it to make a valid point. Please, know that your story and heart are welcome and will be treated with tenderness. Besides my little sharkey heart is hurt to think that you believe that you or your story doesn't matter. -
LEAD of course!

False Prophet or Good Minister with problems?
Eyesopen replied to now I see's topic in About The Way
It is amazing isnt it? Larry, The one thing that no body can say for certain is at this point in vpw's life did he think that he was working in conjunction with BG or was he fully aware that he was stealing the class and had the intent of doing just that. Well, I say "no body" but maybe somebody can site some credible source to identify motive. Mind you I am in no way sypethizing with vp. The facts are the facts. The actual changes to the RTHT book are facts. The conjecture of "why" he did it is not fact. It is fact that he started his class just months after attending BG's class and they were all but identical. Stating the facts is not the same as attacking. But attacking the facts will get you attacked. I think had you not been seen as attacking someone who was stating a list of facts (with one personal opinion inserted) and a person who has actually helped people heal then you would not have been attacked in turn. Your original question might be answered more quickly if you were to take it to John's site and ask it directly as I do not think that he frequents GS enough to notice a question directed to him on a thread. Perhaps a PM? Just a suggestion. BTW- I thought I was special! No more nick names! It makes a she-shark jealous.... :( Edited 'cause I fat finned it! -

Sitting on the back porch early in the morning listening to the Meadowlarks greet the sun. Watching children or animals play Listening to the elderly tell stories about their lives Watching a rain storm Reading the Bible Making and/or eating good food Spending time with good friends Writing Teaching Watching a good movie or reading a good book Working out

I can empathize with that loss of child thing Rocky...I lost all five. It was the biggest trick that has ever been played...Never trust a P/A person...they never tell the entire truth.

Well there must be a warehouse somewhere full of cards that could never make a single deck because all the "Kings of Hearts" are out there in the world somewhere impersonating humans. Gives new meaning to "One shy of a full deck" So glad I found one...I threw 'em back...didn't quite dodge the bullet...but didn't die either...I call that a shaky win!

You're a tease Chas! Actually I've known several people who are like this continually. Both men and women. I realize that some folks are just the average smo that will use a P/A behavior as a defense mechanism. It's not a lifestyle. The folks that I have had/have the dubious pleasure of knowing are those that Chas describe above. The people that I have known usually start out seeming like they are as sweet as candy (like Dooj said). But the veneer does fall away when they are challenged. Then the demeanor becomes very aggressive and whoever had the "audacity" to challenge their authoritay is going to get a face melting and be humiliated (publically if possible) and the abuser will bring it back onto them every chance they get. The crazy part is the other person was horribly deceived by the P/A person. They portrayed such an approachable, cuddly face but they were just saccarine...not real sugar. People that actually live with these sick individuals are subjected to incredible mental abuse that is very hard to overcome. They are "taught" by these people that they are always at fault for everything that the P/A person finds unpleasant. This can be anything from a righteously dirty kitchen to the room temperature. They are as Chas said emotionally burned daily and sometimes continually for long periods of time, especially with the "silent treatment". It is really sad. Arrr...I could go on for days...and have...I have been married to one of these people and I can tell you the "passive" part goes away as they become more familiar with an individuals "buttons". But this thread is about the original package, the Passive Aggressive person.

Why would an atheist . . .

IMHO a lot of things interest me on an intellectual level but I don't "believe" in them. Perhaps that is a reason why an athiest would ask a religious question. -
Spiritual Abuse and Taking the Lord's Name in Vain
Eyesopen replied to another spot's topic in About The Way
Hence it ruled out emotions that would make you feel guilty or remorseful and in turn would allow you to bear no responsibility for your actions. It is obvious that twi was good at teaching this concept. I always heard it as "We live in grace, not the law". So it was ok to just do whatever you wanted to do because God would forgive us our sins. This implies several things on the part of the "sinner". The first of which is that he / she knew before hand that what they were doing or going to do was a sin. Romans 6:1 & 2: What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Christ died so that we could be free of sin. We have Christ in us to fight the inherent sin nature of man. It is an incredible insult to God and Jesus Christ when we who are "dead" to sin make a conscious choice to sin and then have the huevos to ask God to forgive us for it! To receive God's forgiveness for sin one must be repentant. Do not mock God! That's what the scripture tells us. I cannot subscribe to the school of thought that absolves a habitual sinner from just consequences simply because he "invoked" God's grace. In my mind it takes incredible arrogance to believe that God Almighty would be at your beck and call like some trollop or tail kissing fool. The unmitigated gaul and pride that it takes to expect God to forgive a premeditated sin that one intends to commit again! The common saying, "Better to ask forgiveness than ask permission" should never be applied to God as if He were some camp follower that can be summoned like a personal fix-it slave. Yet that was the attitude of many in twi. The concept of personal responsibilty never entered their minds. God forbid one should ever feel genuine remorse for consciously sinning against their God. We wouldn't want to dwell upon a negative now would we? That would be a certain road to possession...what a bunch of hoowie! The more I look at it the more I see how most of the major teachings in twi were designed to further entrench a person into the abuse. They would heap false and skewed doctrines upon us that would cause the listener to switch off the gut emotions that could protect us, doctrines that would fill us with a false sense of superiority, doctrines that seperated us from Christ, doctrines that made us rulers over God's will, doctrines that made hurting our fellow brothers and sisters in deplorable ways and doctrines that absolved us of the consequences for our sins. All of them designed to keep us chained to their legs and feeding the coffers. All of them abusive. But they built upon each other in such a subtle way that most of us didnt see it until much later. -
Does Anyone REALLY Belive the "Six" Denials of Peter?

Spiritual Abuse and Taking the Lord's Name in Vain
Eyesopen replied to another spot's topic in About The Way
Wow! Either great minds think alike or crazy people all drink the same water or something like that.... I was thinking this morning on similar stuff dontcha know. In fact I think I said something about left brain thinking being all formulas and such to ASpot (I think) in a PM when we were talking about emotions. Wierd how all this stuff is starting to straighten out the cobwebs in the "Attic of my Mind". Ya'll remember that song? Just came to my thoughts. Seems like we are having to rearrange that attic yet again doesn't it? -
Spiritual Abuse and Taking the Lord's Name in Vain
Eyesopen replied to another spot's topic in About The Way
Great points T-Bone! It is interesting that we were taught to ignore our feelings. I saw lots of "spiritual anger" and "blessed" folks but any emotion in between or any emotion that even remotely looked like you were having an independant thought was squashed like a cockroach. Funny how many times I heard that section of verse used to justify someones reprehensible actions and never saw those two words. It didn't stop me from tell the offending individual that they were without a doubt completely out of their mind and no amount of tortured scripture was going to redeem them. You have all given me food for thought. Thank you. -
Why is it so hard to get in touch with someone?
Eyesopen replied to hollygolitely's topic in About The Way
That is understandable for a business...but twi is supposed to be a Godly ministry. hollygolitely, I am sorry that you ran into a brick wall. But welcome to the Spot anyway. -
Is God's love really unconditional?
Eyesopen replied to Diamond's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
RChild, it is good to see that you are trying to expand your understanding of God and His ways. You know my postition on this topic. I agree with Abi, Exie and Kathy that God's love is unconditional. I am certain that you know that RBG and I have discussed this topic on the phone and that we do not agree. This disagreement does not mean that either of us is right or wrong. It just means that we disagree. You are a responsible, intelligent 22 year old woman and perfectly capable of coming to your own conclusions concerning this and any other matter. In this light I am pleased to see that you both seek and welcome the insight, knowledge and opinions of our fellow Greasespotters as well as RBG's insight. I hope that you got what you needed out of this thread. I wish you well as you venture out into the world to learn how to stand on your own two feet. God Bless you!
