    San Francisco!

Ah Frisco, my fav city in the US! So why are you visiting Notta and not me? Hmmmph.... Just kidding...lets see now. Winchester House, Bubba Gumps, Pier 9...well the warf, San Fran Opera House, Marine World, Marriotts Great America, Alcatraz (make reservations now), That crazy criss cross street (forgot the name), tons of really old churches, Napa Valley is really cool but make sure you have a DD (I know you mentioned it), The Embarcadario, The zoo, Cliff house, China town... Some of those things are down the coast just a little. But it depends on what you want to do. I just love spending most of at least one day on the warf. The smell of fresh bread mixed with the smell of salt water, eating fresh clam chowder from a hot sour doug bowl while watching the gulls and the sea lions play and fight in the bay, yup my idea of a great afternoon. I top it off with a shanty ride to China town where I take in the sights, buy a few trinkets, and eat dinner at a little outdoor diner or back to the warf for a stop on pier 9 for Bubba Gumps! Like I said my fav!
  2. Then they must be a wonderful couple. I just love meeting great folks...even if it is just in cyberspace. I ordered that book...should be here this time next week. Well it's been a long day for me and my summer cold...the shark is beat! Time to turn into a potato on the couch again...maybe a sleeping potato..aarrrgg its only 4:30 pm. Oh well...nite all.
  3. Personally Jonny dear I hate the place! But I do thank you and anyone else that wants to come to the Silver State and spend their money..saves me paying income tax. I go to Vegas when I have to...and if someone else pays. Glad you had fun tho...do come back now ya'here?
  4. I know you arent making a bad remark about my lovely state...I mean those mountains are bald like that so you dont miss the wildlife...no trees to obstuct you view...
  5. That's amazing, to be an evangelist and a woman in that day and time...wow, and I thought we had it rough. I'm gonna see if Amazon has that book Dot and start reading it when it arrives. W&W that was a wonderful thing to do. Such a loving and giving woman you must be.
  6. Dot, It makes perfect sense, and that story that you told was the one that inspired me to reach out even further than I have in recent months. Since coming to the Spot I have rediscovered the young lady that went out WOW in 82 and was methodically murdered. I have resurrected and reconciled that carefree, God loving, inquisitive and honest person with the calloused, angry, suspicious and guarded person that came home from the Corps. Now I am whole again and looking to understand and heal all the smaller cuts and abrasions. It was the family here that helped make this possible. As you said it is contact with the body of Christ that helps us learn because we are a family. But there are so many more family members out there in the world that never even heard of twi, and all of us should at some point in time should try to connect with some of them. (That is if we want to be an active member of the body of Christ.) Seek and you shall find.
  7. ((((((Dot)))))) It is interesting that you should mention this. I had thought of you as a woman with a gift, specifically the gift of healing as a ministry. I know that I am marginal at it. If I concentrate really hard and am truly wanting to heal someone I can get the mental image that you have described. But it is work for me. You sound like it is something that truly is a part of you. We all have our own gifts and places in the body, so it does not surprise me that you are better at it than I. So of course I am a bit confused why you would look elsewhere when I see this gift in you from, I think all the way across the country? Am I just going nuts again? Anyway the strange thing here is, just the other day (Tuesday to be exact) I was on my way to the range to requalify on my GAU (that's machine gun to you civies) when I saw this church that caught my eye. And as clear as day I heard in my soul, "You need to check this out". So I'm thinking, "Why?" Now I think I have my answer. I will check it out and see what I may see. In the mean time I'm going to see what I may find in way of healing ministries and similar stuff for you. I have no idea what relevence that story has to this thread, it just came to mind when I read your reply to me.
  8. I dont know if this guy is for real or not. I know that we are a bit gun shy when it comes to religions or ministries. So... It is commendable that you continue to search for the healing of God. Do you search for someone else to do the healing or do you search to learn how to do it yourself? Sometimes it helps to define your search more clearly. Like google...you get better results when you get more specific. Whatever the reason I sincerely pray that you find what you are looking for.
  9. 'bout five, I have to save room for the hashbrowns, bisquits and gravy and the bacon. How about you Belle, how many eggs you want in your huevos rancheros?
  10. Idolatry-quite right. Many of us, I would dare to say that most of us found an idol while in twi. Some idolized the organization, some idolized the bible, some idolized knowledge, some idolized vp, and some idolized whoever their "spiritual leader" was on a more local level. Bottom line however is that most of us were led into this idolotry, it was not what we would have chosen had we been able to see what we were doing. But we had been convinced that this was the way to get to God. Without a doubt most of us were deprived of our Lord and Savior. As a friend of mine said in another thread: "Jesus is Lord. All other positions are subject to change." Unfortunately we usurped his position with all sorts of inadaquit substitutes.
  11. Hmmm...eggs? Ok...you got a few dozen? I like that huevos rancheros stuff! Can you do that?
  12. Sooo Dooj....what's for breakfast? Enquiring sharks want to know. The coffee and danish are on the table...that's a good snack...keeps my teeth out of the waitresses but.... Sounds like sister Belle is getting hungry too. Perhaps you have some filet of "the ex" in the fridge?
  13. Well I dont know about any silly clown shoes or big red wigs...had me one of them guys once...kinda sour tasting, I think it was all the makeup. It is 6am on the West Coast the water is warm, a light rain is falling and I'm hungry! So is the kitchen open? :P
  14. You know I just thought of someone else that matches this description, especially the "cold, dead blackness".
  15. Dinner! Did the chef say "Dinner is served?" Yum Bumpy tacos! Where's my hot sauce? Belle- You want me to bite 'em for you? Not all us cops are the same, some of us still know where the lines are drawn and we don't cross 'em no matter how good a shot we are. (And yes I'm pretty handy with a few weapons myself, but you missed that thread.) Seriously it is not kosher to use your badge or your training to intimidate or abuse innocent people. Don't get me wrong sometimes you gotta puff up a bit to back the jerks down, but if a cop is making a target out of someone that cannot or would not harm them then they are nothing more than cowards, and yes I would be happy to say that to anyones face. Come to think of it I have.
  16. Chas! What a beautiful family! Those children are absolutely adorable!!! Note to self "Chas and family too cute to eat...go find moose" Ok I got it...I'm getting old the memorie is not what it once was.
  17. Oh yeh! What was that all about anyway? But remember I'm a full figured Shark...better be a big hook! And I dont think that bisquits and gravy will stay on the darn thing so...woo hoo no catching the shark today!!! Oh and Rick....I think Kathy put the $20 bucks on the hook....She thought I was cheap! <_< Naughty girl!
  18. Thank you Rick and Kathy! SSSmmmaaaakkkk! (that was a sharky kiss, kinda tough to do around the teeth) So Kathy is what he has...is it contagious? Sorry just wondering!!
  19. Are we gonna start a conversation about innies and outies?
  20. I'm really a picky eater...my mommy spoiled me...you know only the best part of the crab or lobster, only fresh kills, none of that day old stuff and never leftovers from some smaller shark's kill. I always got fed at a specific time. If I dont my tummy gets angry and I get really hungry. So anyway...well....when I get hungry I kinda throw a temper tantrum and just bite things indiscriminately. One time I bit an electric eel and got more shock than I could handle! It was embarrassing so of course I got madder...so what did I do? I bit one of those prickly little puffer fish...it took mom the better part of a week to pull all the stickers out of my mouth. My mouth swelled up, I could only eat pureed food, the salt water stung and I lost 30 pounds before I could eat right again...I was getting weak from lack of food I tell 'ya! So it's just smart not to let me get too hungry. I forget my manners..
  21. I do that when I'm bored. It's fun watching their excited little faces turn to shock and then unbelief and then horror, that's when you snap the picture and bite! Wierd I just had twi flashbacks....except I wasnt the shark! :o  The similarities are really scary...my ex was Mexican but I think the Indian blood was really head hunter blood from South America! A shark is a soft fuzzy teddy bear in comparison! It really did give new meaning to "till death do you part" <_<
  22. Captain Morgan was a bit slow in tossing the Rum soaked chum one day. So I reminded him why he feeds me in the first place. Yup...Good idea for the Crunch guy...I like him with marshallows tho... No frozen foods....I've got a delicate stomach!
  23. Nope, give the farm back to JP. I'm sure he would let us use the Auditorium for "services" and the kitchens to make lunch. We could have a good old fashioned book burning and roast marshmallows! Out trolling now looking for Cap't Morgan or Cap't Crunch...Both are good guys they feed the shark! And no granny didn't have the Cap't over for dinner, she was an old fashioned granny, she never ate frozen food.
  24. I know that I wouldn't mind looking like my avatar.
  25. Hmmmm....is that what you are worried about? I have some really cool cat shaped contacts that I could wear for you. But I still bite. Great description of my ex tho!
