you could get an external hard drive and have that be the "data" drive for both computers. And have each computer have the standard array of programs. Having the external drive as the place where all your docs go would eliminate the need for syncing.

The word on the street is that Steve Jobs from Apple is giving a speech on June 6th and he is to announce new iPods. Traditionally, the existing iPods come down in price. Ebay is about the best price wise. And Radio Shack started selling them last year also.

There are many who don't or won't post on GS. Some run splinter groups and don't want to be associated with GS. Some are still in TWI and fear reprisals if they post. Some just take in the information and don't feel the need to interact. And the great thing about it is, NO ONE has to post or reply or read your post. They are free to do what they want. None of us will ever know what our words cause. We put them out there and maybe ours is the info someone needs to make a decision. We just won't know. Replies aren't a gauge.

You should have the latest Java as in the link above or at least a recent version. The other thing to do is clear out your cache. If you haven't been to the new room, your browser may be remembering the old room.

Basically during that time period the forum will be totally accessible for all but one hour. During that one hour, you will not be able to access anything on the forums. You will most likely get a page cannot be found when trying. But the chat room and the main sites documents WILL be available.

HAP, We have two forums for those interested in the Political arena. One follows all the normal rules of GS. And named "light" The other has been made for those that want duke it out and not have to "pull their punches" And not everyone has access to it due to it's harsh nature. We made it an exception to the rule. Over a year ago, I wanted to just close it down, but through some discussion I was convinced that adjusting a few things could be beneficial to all involved. And in the past year, it has worked successfully. I still believe that it is a successful forum.

Johnny Carson almost ran me as I entered a crosswalk in Burbank. I rode an elevator with Garry Owens (from Laughin) I knew a guy that peed in the urinal next to George Harrison at Warner Bros Records. Robin Williams came up to me at the Improv in LA once shaking my hand and asking how I was doing. (Obviously thought I was someone else) I gave Al Jarreau a ride once. I had to pick up Parker Stevenson's Jaguar once. I interviewed Melanie(when her hit brand new key was hot)

Where the heck have I been? Cream reunited for 4 shows in London last week. The first of the power trios. And a damn great band to boot. In their short lifetime, they made enormous impact. If memory serves me well, they were only together for 2 or so years. Unfortunately, it was labeled Eric's band. The truth of the matter was 3 very very talented musicians that fused and gave us some of the most memorable music of the 60's. And drove many musicians to abandon their pop songs roots and move onto more substantive content. I hope that they come stateside!

if you use firefox, they have a plugin that tells you what site you are REALLY on. It is pretty accurate. I have been using it for a while now.

The chatroom is enjoyed by many. A great place to hang out. One thing that has been a problem is people logging in as someone else.
