By the way, I gave the impression that I did the moderating. I share the great honor with a number of others that do more than their fair share. I take over ones like this that are particularly bothersome and time consuming since much of the angst is directed toward me.

Larry, You certainly have freedom of speech. At this site there are rules, simple and undemanding, The site has been successful for many years. If you can't follow the rules, I suggest that you don't post. I put you on moderation for violating them, it will remain that way for the next few weeks. You are free to protest, but the decision was already made. As far as the troll comment, you incite and stir things up. Example, you started a new thread wondering if mods read PM's, you could have just as easily sent me an email. This thread, you know your way around a board, you probably knew the names of the mods before you started the thread, but again questions like that are normally an email. You enjoy "stirring it up" I have NO problem with opposing views, you can ask Oldies, Mike and others they have had the opportunity to say what they feel. You do too, if you stop the personal attacks. Do I "catch" every attack? No. The community for the past 4 years have made ample use of the "report" button in every thread. This has been a successful approach. I have gotten about 4 reports just today and they were all acted upon successfully. Stuff does get missed. That's the nature of the beast.

Who is that directed to?
-
Larry caused alot of problems about a month ago. He asked if he could gather some stuff from his PM's before I banned him (I never said I would ban him that I recall) I let him do that and he said he would be gone at the end of that week. Many of his held posts right now are directed at me, some of them just plain Flaming. I would like to know why he decided to break his word and come back, then I will consider whether or not I will take him off moderation. In my opinion, he has many of the attributes of a troll, that is why when he left I put the account on moderation. He also likes to start threads that would be better treated as emails. Oldies, other have been put on moderation when they do personal attacks, in fact a number were put on moderation when they attacked you. They just decided not to publicly complain about it. Socks, you don't know all the facts, hopefully this enlightens you a bit. It's really easy to side with a self made victim when you don't have the facts. AND last but not least, the whole logic about the moderation is to stop the incendiary comments before they reach the page. I can't possibly discover each and every one, but I do act on the ones that I do find out about. It's real easy to attack the moderators. It takes a little more work to find out the facts.

I was chatting with one of the posters here on GS the other night about this and other threads where they are being held accountable. In MOST cases, posters are addressing the person and the position that they held. John L and Jeff B the individual believer aren't the issue here. The issue is John L and Jeff B (and others) the leaders at CES/STFI They are held to a higher standard, as they are leading other Christian brothers and sisters. And their leadership brought them to a very dangerous area -- the Occult. They need to account for themselves. They haven't done that. John L sent a letter published here and NOT ONCE did he address the effect on the followers. He was busy talking about the other board members. That in and of itself speaks loudly. He is now on the road as spokesman for a group that is still broken as far as we know. As Billy Joel sang, We didn't start the Fire.

The vehicle that you use doesn't mean that much (ywrite, Word, Open Office, notepad, wordpad) The absolute toughest obstacle is staring straight on at that blank sheet of paper and communicating in some fashion. (I Call it the White Screen of Death) You have to fearlessly TYPE. Don't be a critic, be a writer. Thoughts of the day, the song you hummed when you perceived your world. Don't make words like "Diary" or "Journal" become personal monsters. You will be amazed at how many things on your Procrastination List mysteriously getting done. Keep it simple.

Shifra, You should check out the latest podcast on Believing. Many times "believing" is used as a synonym for "hoping"

Roy, Unfortunately, there are no plans for a radio show this week or for the foreseeable future. That could change but at this point none are planned

We discuss the Law of Believing from TWI's perspective and from a Biblical perspective Listen to the podcast

I believe that our "agreement", had to do with the word "verbose". Mike has no "Special" treatment. While I disagree with the majority of what he believes doctrinally, I believe he has the right to embrace it. Of course, my recollection of the conversation was that it was between the two of us.

Brilliant! -
The jackets aren't Nehru. They look like the jackets that the Fab Four wore, collarless. (an early design by an unknown at the time, Pierre Cardin) And the show is the Lawerence Welk show.

The article is new. Dr. Juedes wrote it after an interview that we did. The interview will be up soon.
