  1. I'm sorry but your request needs to be submitted on a 3x5 card, not a 4x6 card or over the devil possessing internet. Please resubmit your request appropriately and include a salted committment to "report back" once you have followed our advice.
  2. Well, folks - here's proof from the horse's mouth that all they are doing is re-reading TWI publications in this training.....Also, looks like nothing has changed at all...... WC Training: ….”not a day goes by that we have not reflected on our training and gleaned from what it has provided. Whether we’re working our secular occupations, cleaning our home, planning the work of the ministry, or believing to minister to people’s hearts and lives, the WC training has helped to make it better…” At Gunnison the in-res WC program is preparing men and women for a lifetime of Christian service. During their two years of training, they immerse themselves in God’s word and practical leadership skills. Whether in study hall, learning in class, working at Gunnison, preparing to teach, or harvesting logs for firewood, the students are being prepared for leadership service. The WC learn to lead wisely and lovingly. HA HA HA HA HA 2 Tim 1:13 – Hold fast to the form of sound words…. Upon arriving at Gunnison in Aug 2005, the student body participated in a time of orientation to build heart and vision for being successful in managing practical areas of their lives while in res. The students were taught leadership skills such as detailed scheduling, communicating and reporting back, maintaining effective filing systems, budgeting, and other practical management principles to help them as students and leaders. (I wonder if they also teach that you can’t put spoons and forks into the same sections in the dishwashwer – to make sure the handle of the coffee pot, the spoon and the handle of the coffee cup are facing the right way – to make sure the triangles on the carpet are perfect when vacuuming…. Maybe that’s where my ex learned those things…) Because the motto of the WC is “It is written”, the students first learn what God’s word says about these areas. Then in the training they faithfully build upon that solid foundation – layer by layer, principle by principle, truth by truth. Phil 1:9-11 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment….. In the fall the students focused on a series of study times called “Ministry Resources Studies” TWI provides resources such as oral teachings and written publications that contain Biblical research and teaching. This research and teaching of God’s word helps people to understand and apply it. During these study times, the in-res WC learn to adeptly utilize these resources to help themselves and others. The students were presented with hypothetical but common situations where they may be called to serve. In searching out word-based solutions, they learn to use the word taught in current STS services and Rag articles, on TWIs website and in our ministry books, publications and oral teachings. One student in the final year of training shares, “The ministry resources study times are not only inspiring to me to dig deeper into the truths we have available right at our fingertips, but they’re also building my confidence in becoming a minister. I have more boldness now in knowing where to go to help people in various life situations. What is even more exciting is that I am building such a healthy word-based habit in my life, and I can help others build it in theirs.” Study hall is also a focused time in the Bible that helps the students build strong study habits. One recent grad writes, “Working in the publications dept at hq allows me to use many of the things I learned in study hall. Each day I believe to help make each publication the best before it goes to print. It’s an exciting adventure, and I work with loving and encouraging people – a team of WC and AC grads. I am thankful for the training that showed me how to build hours of disciplined study into my life in that wonderful Household Commons Library….” A new activity to help the students grow in communicating clearly and precisely was a training in announcements. This class was geared toward presenting formal and informal announcements. The students were given audiocassette examples of informal announcemements mad at various noon meals at hq. In addition, they watched STS videos for examples of formal announcements and promotions. Then they were each assigned to prepare and present both a formal and an informal announcement. One student commented, “I saw the word behind both the preparation and the delivery of the announcement. I saw how important it is to deliver the message with godly intent and heart, as well as to be accurate and precise.” Communicating the heart of God and the ministry in this manner helps to prepare the WC for a lifetime of Christian service. 1 Tim 4:6 If thou put the brethren in rememberance of these things, thou shalt be a good inister…. These are all examples of how the WC training prepares folks to be good ministers of JC. The students build God’s word and practical leadership skills into the fabric of their lives, growing in their confidence and their joy of service. A recent WC grad writes, “I have been so blessed serving in my first assignment. I really see how the training helped me to grow in every aspect of my life. I see that no matter what I am asked to do – I can do. Whether I am working in the office, serving in the OSC dining room, doing hair and makeup for the STS or volunteering for snow removal, I am here to serve. I know I’ll be successful because WC training taught me to love to serve, to be flexible, to be gracious and to believe that God is my sufficiency in every situation. I am ready and willing to do what I know and even what I don’t know because I am willing to learn. Ps 21:2, says you have given him his heart’s desire…. That describes me! God has withheld nothing from me I am very thankful for how God works in our leadership to teach the best of what is available to the in-residence WC. How can I not want to serve Him for a lifetime?”
  3. Info on the AC Spay-shul This is paraphrased to keep Paw from getting into trouble. I will be using the vee pee technique of paraphrasing. ;) The AC specials are coming to TWI!! AC grads will be able to fellowship around the greatness of God’s word at TWI HQ at two specials planned for Nov 24-26, 2006 and April 20-22, 2007. AC specials give grads of the class series the opportunity to get together and study a topic from God’s word in depth. At these events, AC grads deepen their understanding of the scriptures and learn how to manifest the power of God to a greater degree. Participants of these will also enjoy a time of rich fellowship with others from all over the world who have gathered at the heart of our worldwide ministry hq. The desire of AC grads is to become more skillful in the Word and these power-packed specials will offer graduates penty of material for their continued study and growth. In November, participants will study the scriptures on the topic “The Renewed Mind: The Key to Power”. Then in April 2007 the grads will study “Ambassadors for Christ: Living the Word”. Both events will present AC grad level teachings in the household sessions with the doctrine of God’s word being the foundation for each week-end. Because the aim of education is action, the teachings will show students in a variety of inspiriting ways how to carry out that doctrine in their practical walk. The schedule will also provide time for the participants to review and “re-search” (sic) the scriptures, solidifying what they have learned. In addition to the many exciting Biblical teachings, the AC specials in 06 and 07 will have live Way Prod, sweet fellowship and delicious food. By making the commitment to be a part of one of these at international hq, disciples can anticipate an abundant and power filled time of blessings and refreshment in God’s word. After attending AC special in 2004, one excited participant shared, “There is power in God’s word. Because of my desire and decision to grow in His word, I saw God’s power go into work mightily in my life. He also opened doors for me to bring His power to others by allowing me to serve in leadership capacity in my local fellowship, in my job and in my community. This special was like the icing on the cake, and I’m ready for a second helping.” Another jubilant student shared, “There is no doubt that by spending ore time in the Word, I will have more truth to share, more love to give, and more power to prevail.” As believers partake of the “more” that God has made available, He will open doors of service for ways in which to give more in life and, in turn, to receive more of His abundance. The registration deadline for the Nov. special is Friday, Sept 8, 2006. For April, 2007 – Fri, Feb. 2007. Registration for each event is: - $160 for adults - $110 for dependents 16-23 years - $110 for WD alum Qualified grads may attend either or both based on availability.

  5. Maybe you just have to read it in the original.
  6. Just wanted to pop in and say Happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful that my family no longer qualifies to attend the glorious and most spiritually significant event of the year. We will have a traditional thanksgiving dinner and enjoy the company of our "earthly" family instead.
  7. I've never heard the song. I feel deprived. Thanks for sharing all this with us mushrooms. Happy Thanksgiving to my favorite GSpots!
  8. Jason, I’m not saying that you’re wrong. I don’t know and I have no reason to doubt you, however, you have to admit that it’s pretty hard to believe and understand that those evil people don’t know what they’re doing when you’ve had your life destroyed by them and you know darn well they know that they destroyed your life and lied to you in the process. It’s like you said ‘ignorance of the law is no excuse” and I think that people do have an idea of what’s normal and what’s not. Maybe they believe they are truly of the only household of God and the only ones with the truth, but they are the same ones who know that vee pee pee plagarized much of his work, so they must be insane to believe what they do. These are some of the excuses given to justify lcm’s infidelities and abuse of women. Are you saying that the many many wc who covered for him and went so far as to defend him to people actually believe these things? LCM admitted that he has a problem, a 'weakness' when it comes to having sex with many partners, he likes variety. His "apology" was that he knew he had blown it and was sorry that he had not had it covered better ! -- He said that having sex was no different then being drunk and he should just be forgiven -- He explained that sex is a need just like any other need and God wants our needs met, that no laws of God were being broken and that we are not subject to bondage because we are free, and that flesh is flesh and spirit is spirit. -- He said that the husband of the wife he was having sex with, needed to grow up and get over it because it was only sex. -- That it was only a penis and a vagina and that it was no different then a kiss on the cheek, or a hug, it is just another form of physical contact. -- He said that it could not be wrong with God because of all the revelation that he has been getting for the past ten years [Which is a clear indicator of at least how long this kind of behavior had been going on] -- He purported that this helps him with his ministry and was therefore good for the whole ministry -- He compared himself to King David and said at least I did not kill her husband -- He explained to me how Jesus Christ and Paul both traveled with women who provided sexual companionship for them and being married really didn't make any difference -- He talked about the lockbox and how important it was to keep confidentiality. -- E & J H*rn*y have been said to tell people that there is nothing in the Word that says that you cannot have sex with whoever you want. There is nothing wrong with it. They have said that as long as you can handle it spiritually then it can be a profitable thing and God has no problem with it. Someone was told these sexual practices were not only fine with God but even required if you wanted to move further with God.
  9. I’m reading this thesis that was posted about in the Doctrinal forums and I found this quote to be very interesting and telling: ***************** II. Do the research A. In research, I always start with the Foundational Class. It serves as the springboard from which I bring my teaching. B. Next, I go to the collateral readings for the Foundational Class. Volumes I through V of Studies in Abundant Living by Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille are an integral part of my foundation. In fact, they are among the greatest examples of teachings available. C. I also check Sunday Teaching Service tapes, The Way Magazine, scriptures indexes, and class syllabuses. This is where research begins. Research means to "re-search" or "search again." Repetition aids learning ; therefore, use material that has already been worked. Once your foundation is sure, other study materials help illuminate God's Word, such as concordances, lexicons, and atlases. Xi xi"How to Prepare a Teaching," The Way Magazine , November-December, 1986, p. 15. This quote demonstrates the total dependence upon Wierwille developed by those who continue to follow him. All materials mentioned in the article were either written by Wierwille or are Wierwille approved. (It is interesting to note that the Bible itself is never encouraged to be read by itself, i.e., without any help from Wierwille!) ********** It’s equally interesting to note that articles very similar to this have been printed numerous times in the rag. In fact, I know for certain that this is what they are currently teaching the wc in training. Additionally, they have them using study time to prepare witnessing scenarios and how and what to share to meet different needs using only the Sunday Teaching Service. Think the twi(t)s have changed? Not at all. Not at all.
  10. Thank you all very much. Bramble, that's a great website. I have much to read. If you're interested, I'll let you know what I find out.
  11. Wow! That does sound an awful lot like vee pee pee's teachings. The power is within us and works for saint and sinner alike. Guess God really doesn't have anything to do with it - it all keys off the power of the mind and even then, we may not know what we're asking for. Scary. vee pee pee did learn from quite a few spiritualists and this was heavily protected and justified within the organization.
  12. Dan, I plan to try your approach. Sounds like I might learn more that way anyhow. :D-->
  13. I was thinking about this at fellowship last week. I do think I've heard my bc say that people were hurt and things were done wrong in some ways. They never mentioned people or situations and never, but never intimated that they had done anything wrong. It was other leadership who had done things wrong. Does that count? -->
  14. What's the difference between: Methodist Presbyterian Baptist Aren't Catholic, Episcopal and Luthern about the same? Just some things I've been wondering....
