I'd like to see a thread or two about these 'sensational truths'. And see what others thoughts are on it, would you?
-
Well that sucks, if it's true. But I don't think it is. Have you ever seen 'heaven' pond to know if anyone is there now?
-
I think you become a new creation, being born again, as a process. Who Jesus brings, when he comes, are those that are dead to this world, but not to the new one. It's not one day your not born again and the next you are. Passing from death to life. The word 'passing' implies a journey or progression. Can be fast or slow, depends on you and the Lord. But all will pass.

Does Anyone REALLY Belive the "Six" Denials of Peter?
cman replied to Eagle's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Do me a favor and don't use big words you don't understand. Like "God". Other wise as for the post I responded to, You were insulting to many. Though you may not see it that way, it is imo. So yes, it is my opinion that the comment was towards those who believe a certain way. I can drop it though and will. edit- I know what the word means. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anal_retentive -

Yeah ever heard of empathy? it's a thread even. "anal-retentive" your head is up your own- you are describing yourself Can you break away from yourself and see from another idea or perspective without accepting it as truth? I think you can, hell anyone can if they want to and care enough. -

Good things there Oaks, seems a lot of folks want to have something outside of themselves to look at for rules and laws. Instead of having the confidence needed to trust yourself, which is a process of growing. Learning the bible or any book can help, but it's not the answer in itself-the books that is. -
Thanks Sudo, I'll check it out.

There you go describing what you see yourself George. Might notice it's you that sees that, like a mirror. -
Just from the standpoint of being honest with what we say Abi. Not that we are to tell all we know, but what we do is from the heart. Again, for the most part. And thanks for bringing that up. We must always be wise in our choice of what to say and not say.

everyone here at the spot......

In general, people are afraid to be honest in any type of group get together. But I have found that for the most part these people here are honest. And can be trusted with your honesty and your honest replies or comments. Don't let a few that 'seem' too forward discourage you. But if it's time to move on I'm all for it for you. You are welcome here anytime as you know.

perhaps you could have the perspective that these are people and not ex anything

Yes, and if so, why would Jesus bring a bunch of dead people with him when he comes?

Is God's love really unconditional?
cman replied to Diamond's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
If love is 'conditional' then it's not love but a business arrangement. Generally speaking I'd say. -

Well, just to point out one thing about the 4 deal. 'In the midst' does not mean it's in the middle of more then two. Nor does it even mean 'in the middle'. The point is he was with them. Like the tree of life 'in the midst of the garden'. Don't mean the middle of it. The 6, or 3, or 49, don't matter. The point is forgiveness is never not a big deal imo. -
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ TNT has to be installed and activated today for it to work for free. It's a decent program. And here is a better free site that one can download and install on any day after it was posted as the freware of the day. http://www.freedownloadaday.com/ Giveaway of the day doesn't have much good stuff but sometimes they do. And sometimes they have bad programs with trouble attached. And read the comments, alternative, better programs are always mentioned. I prefer free download a day but the other site has some good stuff occasionally.

Just sounds like freedom to me. A little scary sometimes. And new things and possibilities with someone who can share love. That, my friend, is worth the chance of developing a new relationship. I think it only feels wrong because you think you wronged your G/F. I don't know if you have or not, but ammends can be made without staying with her. The only mind you can control is yours. Take good care of it. My 2 cents worth and not saying what to do. But certainly familiar with those feelings you described. It doesn't mean you are wrong because you feel wrong. Sounds more like it feels right to you.

how about sleep in the sense of not being awake? in all the verses what is death anyway? whether living or dead what is dead? what does it mean to die? KJV: Ro 6:4 4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. KJV: Ro 7:6 6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. how about die? what is it talking about? KJV: Ro 14:8 8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. KJV: 1 Co 15:22 22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. KJV: 1 Co 15:31 31I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. KJV: 1 Co 15:36 36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: KJV: 2 Co 7:3 3I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. KJV: Php 1:21 21For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I don't believe this is talking about people who are dead physically necessarily. What are some other possibilities? A reflective contemplative presentation of thought. KJV: Ro 13:11 11And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. KJV: 1 Co 11:30 30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. KJV: 1 Co 15:51 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, KJV: 1 Th 4:14 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. KJV: 1 Th 5:6 6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. KJV: 1 Th 5:7 7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. KJV: 1 Th 5:10 10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
