Any type of doctrine can go bad quite easily. Problem is whether it goes bad or not, people are usually stuck in one way of thinking. Using the saying of Jesus-I am the Way. Or any scripture that captivates the mind and and holds it hostage. When the way is not clear. Others say here is Christ or there is Christ. Just look at how many people posted on who they like to hear teach. Not that that is bad in itself. But why not break the mold, the limits and hear other ideas. And really consider them. Jesus was never held to any doctrine, in fact he went against so much of it they killed him. Leaving us an example to follow, letting yourselves die, the doctrines being put out of the way. To see that there is some good in all doctrines and just a stepping stone to be released into true spiritual life and living. Not held back by words, but reaching for them as the spirit gives the utterance.

Hi Eagle, seems it all comes from the two seeds in Genesis. To understand what this is saying would help. A seed by the way is dead unless sprouting or growing. Then there is the 'of your father the devil' which is not handled correctly imo I fathered this post, so what. Don't mean I can't change my mind.

Without hell there wouldn't be a heaven. Neither terms are explained by Lewis. Hell is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. It sends you to heaven though. Can't have one without the other. Hell is thought of as inescapable, some things will die there. Others will live and leave, Love leading the way.

what i mean Abigail is that whether it's Calvin or Luther or Moses or Jesus, Reality does not change, it is us that changes. No one has reached it's limits yet. cause it is limitless now and forever. Residing in us, to be glorified in us, not an outside entity but an inside reality that has been being born again from the beginning. The phrase 'God does not change' does not stop at doctrines or laws or scripture. As you probably know. But it goes beyond all that and yet includes it. Such redemption is unique and could never be pulled of by men and their ideas alone. Many have tapped into the power in themselves that is not of themselves but more then most can handle. Many are busying themselves putting things together and wanting to say 'I did it'. Well what they did falls short of the glory that will be revealed in us. Seen and glimpses caught by many and not recognized, It will keep coming around. It's it's very nature.

Calvinist thought, whether obsessive or passive-with full knowledge or little knowledge is a small part of the bigger picture, as well as Luther or any other. It's the ones that say my way is the only way that should quit thinking of themselves so much and broaden their minds. It is not uncommon for many to have seen and think that because another has not then they will never see. This is a sign of immaturity, no matter how clearly God has been seen. one should continue 'in the faith', that would be continuing rather then digressing into what one thinks instead of continuing to let the scales on our eyes fall off. Because it is the work of the Lord to open the eyes, what one has done or doing is to let that work have it's perfect work inside. Getting past the 'I am and you are not' is the work of grace. Faith has substance, that substance is what is seen and experienced. Be careful that you don't fall into the trap that you think others will not see. Yes, progression is how it happens, as Abigail said. It's not progression from only one point but from many. As many as there are people. 'It' will be seen by all in their's and the Lord's way, and by the grace will it be seen as one no matter how 'different' things seem to be. Staying stuck in one way of thinking will stop progression, no matter how 'right' it may be seen as. It is in many ways, but it would be the person stopping this inner ear and eye and not the Lord. We are epistles of the heart known and read by all. This LIVING WORD in Us is what is to progress. It's easier then one might suppose since it is the work of the spirit. Free will is a joke and guessing game. Most are wrapped up so tight they wouldn't be able to see choice if it slapped 'em upside the head. And it will, that's for sure, cause one day it just may take a SHOUT to wake some people up to what is reality.
