RTHST (receiving the holy spirit today)

there's something deep inside that keeps me going. It came out once big time bigger than I could handle I think. I'm not alone in this that much I'm sure of. Deep inside that is connected to everything, more than I could come up with on my own. So, inside yeah but more than that. We are more than just ourselves. -
it's more like a figure of speech deal

Matthew 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: like these secret things, obviously speaking about something, vp totally missed it I think
-
I think the saying - greatest secret in the world - is not something vp came up with.
-
I agree, Rocky, so if it is a secret than I think it's just the nature of the beast.....
-
Is not Pfal. Or the Bible. Maybe what all those people in the Bible are talking about is a secret to us reading it. Just thinking out loud. What do you think about this?
-
What would happen if... or, how logical is scripture?

This makes the most sense out of everything in this thread. I like it! -
it has to be seen, experienced to believe it, yes from the inside but also bigger than that even forgiveness is so big that it's hard to comprehend, or put into words
-
Christ is not something separated from us.
-
It's a complete deal. Why fight it? You can, if you want to drive yourself nuts.
-
I don't think it's a mind game, maybe before the actual experience of being forgiven. Christ forgiving is without anything left behind without remorse or second thoughts.

there is power in forgiveness, super powerful healing from within Jesus said the man's sins were forgiven and healed him 2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. 3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. 4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? 5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. 7 And he arose, and departed to his house. 8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men. Ephesians chapter one plus much more..... 46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. 47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. 48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

So....when Christ forgives, is it for himself?

The Bible, as the revealed word and will of God, is always DECLINING
cman replied to Twinky's topic in Matters of Faith
I wonder if Paul would approve of his letters being made into doctrines. vpw's books are doctrine at twi. -
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. I think forgiving others is directly related to how we know that we are forgiven. In other words, the bigger we see forgiveness for ourselves the bigger we can do it for others.
-
no they are not if god can force someone to not do something then he could force someone to do something as well...
-
No. Your problems are yours not mine. It's on you not me or anyone else.

The only one to answer your questions is the one lord you said you don't believe
