I don't know...... I think I'd lay off the doctrinal discussions and just live and have fun. If you get invited to a fellowship, just turn it down. I'd advise anyone to stay away from any way ministry function. But anyway, just live and love and do your thing. The way is restrictive and promotes slavery to it's cause. I write, but I don't think it's book material, yet. jen-o, there is certainly more then what you see in the bible then what you are saying. It's quite possible that such a stand as 'I've made up my mind' would stop more enlightenment on this or anything else. And 'secular sources' are not secular. This is a term or phrase religion has come up with. One could still look at other possibilities even if they have made up their mind. It don't matter if you change your mind or not. Considering is an art of thinking that can be done.

An Atheism framework for this wouldn't be bad at all. It's not as limited as one may think. I've seen some of the best questions on atheist sites.

But most of us get along fine, having seen the results of narrow mindedness. I think it's great they you two love each other beyond some church doctrine. But just be aware that it is a strong possibility that TWI will force your girlfriend to choose between you and TWI. Personally I think she should choose you and get out of TWI. Or just plain quit going to their stuff. They claim there is no membership. Which is a lie. And not the only thing that will go against common sense. Abuse of the heart of forgiveness is a big problem. People will hold it over you like a club ready to strike. Some people anyway. Forgiveness is no strings attached either way. Not to be enforced or used against you now. We all will experience it soon enough. Like we've never seen it before.
