That's not manners, compassion, and adult behavior. That is a law for the lawless.

It would be best if people would speak for themselves and what they think. And rather then judging another, inquire with their best interest in mind. I've seen a lot of conclusions drawn on quite a few posters that are not correct. Not straight out name calling but telling some one else what they think about them as absolute instead of an opinion.

Doctrine as we were taught in the way was something that does not change. And contained in books for the most part. I don't believe this to be true at all. To me it's so far from it that I can't openly discuss it here because of how the word doctrine was drilled into the minds of those who were in the way int. So when I post in this section it isn't the way's idea of doctrine.

I don't think this thread and Groucho's remarks were to direct Paw to do anything. I think Groucho knows that that would not work anyway. I do believe it was to get input from more people then his own thinking. So that it would help him to figure a problem out that does not set right with many people that come to this site.

Why does anyone claim to believe Christ when there is always another side of Christ that is not seen. Interesting that Christ died and changed imo. And we are to follow this Christ. Believe it or not I'm one that tries to. Sometimes I do and sometimes I miss it. It's like catching a jet from a mountain. Or jumping and letting the jet catch you.

Geisha, I hope you don't stop posting. I'm pointing out that all sides of the scripture battles back then had their problems. As they do today. For us to side with one group over another without a full disclosure would be premature. And really prejudiced which serves evil and not good. And taking it a bit further one can come to their own conclusions, which can include none at all. Peace.

An us verses them statement that really sucks imo. Judge those you disagree with, with not doing something, though they have no idea what you do or don't do. Though I've done it all too.

If you think something wrong or something like you said is happening, why don't you speak up in that thread? Instead of starting a thread that accuses everyone. Are you afraid to say anything? Or don't want to get involved? But here is this thread with your opinion. Say it where you see it. It don't matter what the response is as they will vary. Point it out when it happens and move on. Seems the best anyone can do.

All faiths or whatever you believe will cross paths and meet together eventually. I do not need to recruit any to my thinking, it will just happen. And already has plenty. Your defense of whatever you are defending is not being attacked. All so called Christian groups have their skeletons in the closet. Murders, mass annihilation of those that believe differently. Islam is a valid Spiritual religion. Just as valid as Christians. The mass murders done in the name of Christianity happened from those who held to the current canon of the scriptures. And funny how both groups still kill to make their word come out on top. This is not Christ which is in Islam as well as Christianity. And More. But in a language few can hear.

I am thankful for Danny giving so much of this that he has learned. As well as Geisha. I do not approve of any labeling of groups or people as heretics. It is not godly at all to me and separatist and exclusionary. Nor do I like the term 'Church Fathers', The are not the fathers of my 'church'. Nor is there much of an understanding of church or it's synonyms. Revelations was almost left out of the 'cannon' back then. Which is not surprising to me.

I do believe that if we treated each others hearts as honorably and with respect, as the bible or any other perceived scripture, we will hear the words of God coming from each other. And the scriptures could then have life and be seen. As well as our hearts. But, for the most part, the dead are treated better then the living.

Yeah, it was real. A lot of folks feel the same I think. This is a good place for answers, with the right questions. Staying flexible in listening and speaking will help bring peace to your heart. By that I mean to relax a bit and don't get stuck in one belief system. We all grow into learning more each day. All beliefs will cross paths in one way or another. The more peaceful we are the more we can spot those times.

What sticks out here, geisha779? Along with most of the rest of your post. Sure we are to think reasonably. Is it reasonable that we might be able to let go of our reason?

thanks Abigail, I'd like to see some thoughts and different views on the process' also. And not just limited to that website. I think we will progress and are progressing all the time. In some form or fashion.

I think my days of "take a stand for God" are over with. There's just too many things that changed and keep changing. Sure I'll stay with love, but as for the rest I'll just stay flexible. It's like a phase, that went too long. Finally getting past all that, though some good came out of it.
