isn't death cleansing anyway? fortunately, yes for everyone there is a lot of terms in your questions that ask questions in itself, like hell, fire and all that "purgatory" seems to be

swimming in the deep parts of the ocean has it's waves for sure getting into some more basics of life and living helps although it feels like the shallows, deeper than I think and it is something needed to be done.... -

these stages or levels are not like a ladder to climb, more like a room to roll around in and knock some walls down for more room, in an awkward way sometimes, but also a focused way to see and know more 6 or 7 or maybe 12 or even 4, lots of rooms connected -

Stage 3 – "Synthetic-Conventional" faith (arising in adolescence; aged 12 to adulthood), is characterized by conformity to authority and the religious development of a personal identity. Any conflicts with one's beliefs are ignored at this stage due to the fear of threat from inconsistencies. Stage 4 – "Individuative-Reflective" faith (usually mid-twenties to late thirties), is a stage of angst and struggle. The individual takes personal responsibility for his or her beliefs and feelings. As one is able to reflect on one's own beliefs, there is an openness to a new complexity of faith, but this also increases the awareness of conflicts in one's belief. a big change from 3 to 4 with 5 helping out Stage 5 – "Conjunctive" faith (mid-life crisis), acknowledges paradox and transcendence relating reality behind the symbols of inherited systems. The individual resolves conflicts from previous stages by a complex understanding of a multidimensional, interdependent "truth" that cannot be explained by any particular statement. -

the most basic type of early Christian training, probably others too, but mine is Christian, anyways basic stories from the scripture covering lots of things, and good things to learn thru the early levels of faith as James Fowler puts it seems the trouble comes when there are different stories and ideas after the first 3 levels of faith, things have been held on to for generations and centuries which stem from early faith beliefs, blocking more deeper wisdom and consideration here is an example of beliefs that span many generations --- in my upbringing we were taught that hate is only of the devil, only the devil can hate, I've heard this all my life and from twi, you know - don't say I hate this food, say I don't care for it or like it, .................and it's just not true -

questions we never asked - was there evil before they ate of that tree of knowledge of good and evil why would "the serpent" want adam and eve to know good and evil -

hm..yeah.. romans.. and genesis for that matter.. it took eve and the serpent to get thru to adam without feminine qualities .... I don't think humans would survive long possibly why biblical scripture is such a stumbling block to many, and yet scripture abounds in everything, is the spirit being consulted within to determine it's meanings, or rather to soak up wisdom when it's shown so plainly -
For me, it took over 3 years to kill twi in my head. But I had to take it on head first. Like deeper than I ever thought I could.

it boils down to fear of death, all the crap people come up with, they can't face the devil.... it's not hard to do though..... -

If you take out all these !theory? off a return of Christ or who some thinks God is 3 in 1 or any other such perspectives and let the spirit guide, not these man-made doctrines Senses will return, which is Christ returning in you. You know, it says the glory shall be revealed IN you.....that is where heaven and earth meet.. .the rubber hitting the road ...... -
yeah! depends on the day or hour, there is plenty to go on, then I come out of it somehow...

cman replied to Raf's topic in Atheism, nontheism, skepticism: Questioning Faith
well... I can't put any faith into some kind of return of Christ when Christ is here now took a long time to get rid of a bunch of pfal/twi doctrines, some of it was me, my quest for truth, but it was mainly the spirit of God that helped me, showed me and I can't deny it's presence perhaps this return teachings is why some just look at it as some kind of salvation instead of finding their salvation now, and believing that there is answers now and that it's simple, easy, it has to be -
