The Holy Spirit is a seed Geisha. Figuratively or Allegorically it is still real. In the Lord's timing, the Lord's day will happen within each of us. And continue. There is no escape from that which is in us. When a seed starts growing it will break the crust of the earth.

No, I'm not referring to freewill. Jesus is not the same as the spirit of truth. And are the things that were mentioned being done by the person, the flesh,or the spirit. As quoted, it's the spirit that does the revealing of these truths. Yet you seem to be saying that these things happen before 'accepting the Lord'. And at the same time saying that there is no spirit till you do. note-Please refer to the posts from you and Spoudazo. With all due respect to both of you and each of you being unique.

Geisha, I don't understand this reasoning. It's the spirit of truth that the scripture refers to. Spoudazo, and Geisha, If one is to convinced of sin. or righteosness. or the Lord Jesus Christ, and brought to the place of seeing it. Then how is this done? By the spirit or something else? If it's by the spirit it would have to be there already. Then one could make a decision. Sunesis, Thanks for your input. There is a lot in your post that is very real. Decisions and action. Both on the part of the person and the spirit.

Free, I don't think that the bible is a joke, but I also don't believe it's an "only standard" either. I think it is a result of the Word but not the Word. whatever it is actually saying which has been debated, and will continue to be among "Christians". I don't think I need the Christian label, nor the bible to have the spirit. There are many 'standards', even within 'Christianity'. So I ask what does God, the Lord, the Spirit have to do. If we by our own works, save ourselves, it seems self righteous. It is by the work of something else that men and women begin to see. Thanks for your input Oakspear. Another good question or three. I like that Thomas. ---- Wouldn't 'the Way' have more then Christianity as it's only way?

A lot of people say they are a christian because of something they did. Rom 10:9,10 Accept Jesus as your savior Or believing something What exactly happens when someone does this? Nothing as far as I can tell. Sure you can change your behavior, but can't you do that anyway? What happened to what the Lord or God or Christ does? Regardless of what we say or do. Does it not have any affect or influence? I think we have always had the Holy Spirit. It's just a matter of it waking up or being aroused. It's in every part of our being. Take Joseph for example or Moses. Even Moses said for all to be a 'prophet'. Or whatever he said. Close anyway. Why is it that some believe that others don't have the spirit? Without it, our minds could not do what they do in many things. I think the labal of 'Christian' is abused and used to promote one's own self. Though some may not be aware of this, it is what we were taught. A lot of us were taught this and still believe that 'christian' is the only way to heaven. Of course I don't buy it. I think we all are getting heaven now and later. With all the paths and things that happen along the way. Discovering ourselves is a great journey and unique to each of us.

Personal Attacks is all you have to add George? That doesn't have anything to do with what the subject is. But then, for you it would.

Then prepare to have youir bubble busted. And that would include you. I would say you don't by what you have stated in this post. But it's not just you but most that fail at Christianity. It's the 'saved' or not that stinks among many. And has me refusing to say I am with such nonsense as there is in it. And I'm not just singling you out, OneWhoIsFree. But just to point out a few things. Cause the fire of God is not what you think, probably. To look at the burning bush that doesn't burn. To lay hold of the Flaming Sword that turns EVERY WAY. For we must all pass through the fire. This fire is God as much as Christ is.

I don't see anything in the scriptures about pure blood. It could be Jesus was a man just like all men. Who said we could do what he did and more.

Kind of funny how you hear bride. Nevertheless, even with the scriptures WordWolf quoted. The unseen things are what we are to look at. And that's funny too. To be honest, I'd say, just from what I've seen. The scriptires were not meant to be interpreted by men.

I'd say if your God condemns people forever, or eternal torture. As I heard someone say, Time to upgrade your God.

Some ideas have to be undone. Not an easy thing to happen. To see the things that are here....now.

btw that rev 2 isn't speaking of a marriage of only physical but Christ as it is in the rest of the bible it's the spiritual being communicated by way of a marriage as in the physical yet the love is still the main factor without love, there is no joining as well as the marriage which does certainly include a physical one should it be present Cuz why would there be an allegory without real substance spiritually The point is love, the rest will work out....

rev 2 1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 6But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. And who is it "that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks"? from verse 1 http://users.cybertime.net/~ajgood/nics.htm the Nicolaitanes divorcing love is what i think, since it speaks of hardness of heart anyway, there's a Nicolaitanes reference which seems significant though erroneously tied with the so called gnostics in some works

Yeah, TGN, and I don't think it's a matter of loosing anything of the great things of youth or it's many virtues and living qualities. But capitalizing on them and being able to see another step with clearness and decisive progress into new things. Though not fully known but certainly seen and then experienced and living with more vision and perception.

It's kind of cool though... If words were presented about those verses or any other subjects. The one hearing could get a whole different perspective. Inspired and activated by one set of words can reveal a whole new set of words. And reflections, perspectives and activation in anyone listening. We speak, but we are not in control of what the hearer hears and what it inspires in others.

Some good questions. Just having them will lead to understanding. I don't think I could answer them fully. But they can be answered. Even re learning the intent of those scriptures will happen. And way to much has been made about foreknowledge imo. There is so much to 'now' that we can be seen that the rest will show itself.

I appreciate the compliments, but it certainly is not my doing. Any thing I know is brought together by God. I could never pull it off myself. Back to 'will the will'. 20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Should women be silent in the church?
cman replied to wrdsandwrks's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Women usually refers to spirit or wisdom. I think it's speaking of self control and temperance in using that. -
To fix outlook express. Go to control panel-add/remove programs, and remove service pack 3 if you have it and service pack 2. Then reinstall service pack 2 by way of windows update. (If you are having trouble with windows update continuing to run without results. Change to Microsoft Windows update on the windows update site. In options or admin options. there is two places to change settings. One of them can change the type of windows update-either all microsoft products or just windows which includes outlook express.) This will take a while but all your info will still be there. ----- As far as a new mail service, I switched to gmail, which is web based and run on their servers. https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount?...cc08&type=2

Better stated would be- scripture by itself, is not the Word of God. Without the Holy Spirit to show us what is meant and said, it's just what we think it says. Which in itself is not bad. All things are pure to the pure. Scripture can be found in many writings. Not just the bible. So they are certainly tied together. Scripture,--- and the Word, which has been since the beginning, are not exactly the same. The Word of God without God is empty. Without God to take us through it, we by ourselves cannot get it. By our own doing alone, we cannot get the meaning. Maybe that's worded better.

According to 1 John 5 there is actually 6 + 1. 7 6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. There's the six and you being the seventh being witnessed to.

Perhaps John chapter 1 would help with what I'm trying to communicate. Or not. Might make it harder to see. That section had always been a tough one to deal with in the past.
