Christians, Muslims and Jews, oh my!
cman replied to sirguessalot's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
one of many further readings on process thinking http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_North_Whitehead#Process_philosophy though some definitely disagree much is proven and North is falsely associated with some others not in that article but it would come up if any know of him -
O yeah and do get adblocker plus and flashblock add-ons for Firefox. For adblocker plus subscribe to Easylist-English and Fanboys list. Flashblock will block all flash objects until you click on them or set a page to allow for flash without clicking. I advise to leave it all blocked until you are ready to see the flash video or object. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/

Run these occasionally, they are free. The paid version can run for real time protection, but if you update and run these manually like once a week or month you will be ok I think. http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ http://www.filehippo.com/download_superantispyware/ These are good too and need to updated manually like the other two. http://www.filehippo.com/download_spywareblaster/ http://www.filehippo.com/download_spybot_search_destroy/ These two add lists of sites that are bad to your browser, effectively blocking them. Spybot has a scanner as well to run manually. None of these will slow your computer down, except when you initialize a scan. Otherwise they are not running, so not a problem.

Yep pretty silly when Jesus is said to be an example. It's more like - Jesus demonstrating salvation that is quite real. Even from the womb. -

The gathering together is quite different in beliefs. It's not to be used as a threat imo, but a promise. I think the gathering together happens a lot and has already and will again. And there is a common ground in that, seeing a bit deeper into it. -

Just when you think you got it figured, your mind will be served up on a platter with unexpected acceptable results. Labels matter to some and not others, no difference. It's what's in the heart that matters. As the Quaran taught some to abuse so did the Bible. And carried it out to deadly results. twi is one of many examples. What they can't see is where they miss it one every side. If you could open the sky and ground to see what is really there. Understanding would happen, and wisdom is held by virtue and honor. Not knowledge. -

Not to side track, but not only Jesus 'is', but every person is of? God. -

What stands out is consciousness. Or even subconsciousness. Awareness of God or whatever, like Christ or Spirit. We all breath the same air. -

From your link I found this one- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_in_Abrahamic_religions Which adds the Bahá'í faith naturally.... -

I think 'Christians' have started more wars in the name of their 'God' than the other groups. Regardless, I'd like to see the similarities of these 3 diverse religions. And not another war. -
interesting how eating happened with the first Adam and the Last

idealism? well, doubt that nevertheless, i'm done with this...

You put a lot in there about what you assume I think. None of it is close. Except this- Which is the point I believe. Something about serving more then leading was happening then, agreed? That was Jesus' sayings...

JB, I think your post shows how Steve and waysider put it. Being affected by the way.... "a shift in power" never happened I just don't believe there was any one person God focused on or 12. More like it was all there for the hungry as it still is today. And not to nullify anything you said. But to consider how twi/vp handled the scripture. peace

Pax, I think the dividing is in the mind, the thoughts and intents of the heart. To show and see ourselves more clearly. I like what you said about it not being Christian-non Christian, knowing there are many which know Christ without the label.
-
and those ways are the point, do you agree with that?

I was thinking something similar T&O, but didn't want to sound like brawling, and you didn't sound like that to me. Anyway the 'following' thing in Acts and Timothys sounds competitive. where in the epistles it's 'be followers together with me as I am of Christ'. So there is a different tone in my opinion. We all need each other at times to see things. Like tupos from the heart, with Christ being seen inside. And not to say Acts and Timothys can't add some light, but there is a different attitude in those books.
-
Paul had followers? I really think a lot of that is like second or third generation stories made up by those with different agendas. Acts and Timothy do not jive with the epistles much at all.

If you want to harmonize anything godly you need to let go of the text, and let the God of your heart listen. It's more then any book can hold. The scriptures are a help, but let them be shown to you. Anything written usually inspires something quite different, and different for everyone. If you want to post large blocks of your work, use https://www.dropbox.com or a similar program, it's easy, and add them to their program. then just post a link to them. Then they can be downloaded by anyone interested.

There are other translations that help. Consider this though as written in Philippians. Orthodox Jewish Bible MOSHIACH'S LETTER THROUGH THE SHLIACH SHA'UL TO THE BRIT CHADASHA KEHILLAH IN PHILIPPI 2 1 If, therefore, there is any idud (encouragement) in Moshiach, if any nechamah (comfort) of ahavah (love), if any deveykus (attachment to G-d) in the Messianic chavrusashaft (association) of the Ruach Hakodesh, if any warmth of affection and rachamanut (compassion, mercy), 2 Then make my simcha (joy) shleimah (complete) by having the same lev, the same ahavah, being an agudah association with one neshamah, thinking the same machshavot (thoughts), 3 Doing nothing according to anochiyut (selfishness 1:17) nor according to empty ga'avah (conceit, haughtiness, arrogance), but in anavah (humility), fergin (graciously grant) each other esteem above yourselves [Ro 12:10]. 4 Let each of you talmidim look after not only your own interests, but also the best interests of others [2:21; 1C 10:24,33]. 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua, 6 Who, though existing in the demut of the mode of being of Elohim [His etzem or essential nature, Yn 1:1-2; 17:5], nevertheless Moshiach did not regard being equal with G-d as a thing to be seized [bERESHIS 3:5], 7 But poured out and emptied himself [2C 8:9], taking the demut of the mode of being of an eved [YESHAYAH 52:13- 53:12 [T.N. see the AVDI TZADDIK TZEMACH DOVID MOSHIACH YIRMEYAH 23:5; ZECHARIAH 3:8], and was born in the likeness of Bnei Adam [Yn 1:14; Ro 8:3; MJ 2:14-17], and having been found in appearance as an Adam, 8 Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach humbled himself and took the path of shiflut (lowliness), unto mishma'at (obedience 2:12) [cf. BERESHIS 3:17] even unto death [Yn 10:17; MJ 5:8; 12:2], and that, a death on HaEtz [the Tree, DEVARIM 21:23; 27:26; Ga 3:13; Pp 3:18]. 9 Therefore, also Hashem exalted [YESHAYAH 52:13; 53:12; DANIEL 9:26; 7:14; Ac 2:33; MJ 1:3] Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach, and gave to him haShem [Ep 1:21; MJ 1:4] above every name, 10 That at haShem of Yehoshua, KOL BERECH (every knee YESHAYAH 45:23) will bow, of beings b'Shomayim and ba'Aretz and mitachat laAretz (in the world below), 11 And KOL LASHON (every tongue YESHAYAH 45:23) shall make hoda'ah (confession) with an Ani Ma'amin that is an open and public admission that Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua (Yeshua) is Adoneinu, to the kavod of Elohim Avinu. Let me know when you are ready to Harmonize.
