"Jesus reveals details of His crucifixion"
cman replied to Kit Sober's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
If you agree or disagree with the way I communicate, isn't this at least part of the real question of the tree? And if one is made in the image of God, is cursed by the law, that God came up with, isn't God cursed as well? Pardon me, just thinking about the logic of oneness with God. And that comes with disagreements as well. -

Ok, I'll float a question then. Why does it say-Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree-from- Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree -

Maybe where and why the place and the type of execution would be significant to some. But it's a distraction from what happens, and this thread, imo. Or not, since Kit is pointing out the silliness of all these doctrines. If we are to look at the things we can't see. We must be able too. Anyway these sources are just background info to me. -

Or of anyone for that matter, Jesus drew attention to a transformation, the first of it's kind. -
Worthy of a post I think. Love this movie. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/198326/To.Kill.A.Mockingbird.1962.avi

yeah, prophetic, as in, we now know, cause it's already with us childlike cause the glass is a mirror

Ham, is there only one moment to choose or one time to make a choice. Is there only one or two options? Too black and white for me I think. Plenty of time and to see lots of things not considered yet. Far beyond these few years in our current situations.

Just whose life is it, anyway?
cman replied to Steve Lortz's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
not so sure about the shame part it does say this Genesis 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. but it never says they were ashamed after that i can find although one can be ashamed of something as i know from experience and that can be beaten yes, according to that verse, but did he know it and was he still naked after he ate just covered with skin i think yes, we all are, just 'layers' to uncover if we see what those skins are animals? beastly? not literaly imo....more human and flesh covering spirit thanks Abigail, and Hi to you too! -

imo, Lev 17 doesn't relate specifically to Adam and Eve being clothed in Gen 3 nor does it have anything to do with some supposed sin of Adam and Eve being covered -

imo it's the flesh, the clothes of Gen 3 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. Paul talks about being clothed as well. A bit different though, as I don't hold with the same meaning stays with the same words. 2 Corinthians 5 1For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord -

ok, how bout this what would die when Adam ate-thou shalt surely die- why didn't Adam see that he was naked before he ate was he naked before he ate is Adam a son of God? -

I think understanding what the 1st Adam is, means and did, would be essential to knowing what the last Adam really did. 'I AM the First and Last' -
well anyway.... i'm not 'Christian Universalism' whatever that means i'm more like whatever it is we will experience you will whatever label or none we will be face to face with something more powerful then both faces then only one face left when we finally see it is that way from the beginning
-
there it is hidden in plain sight i've run from from it tried to tame it conquer it examine it put it far from me escape it instead of looking in it's direction and let it work it's work like i never believe it's a consuming fire drawing every man circling like a black hole scattering new worlds of flame full of new life
-
that's a lot, for keeping it short sirg :) i'll add that 'those who serve the sick and dying' serve many from birth to death, as in newborn to the end/beginning true it's not addressed in any form to capture in Christianity for the most part though it should be a child can understand and see it.....and only a child.... we get older and muddy the clearness of life and death with what we think we want a child can see a bird die, a relative, or friend and there should be answers from those who have seen it but they are far and few between, in the west mostly though in many circles these are mixing....finally yes practices to prepare not for that we can bring the fire upon our selves by our own wills cause we are not in charge of Christ try to take charge and the harm can occur to others as well the spirit moves on the face of the waters and when it says let there be light, the eyes open, the ears hear if one is not blinded by being stuck in one or a few ideas of- who we really are what is in us and what is with us and always has been certainly no short answer for that one but enough to knock one off their horse and seek.......and find more then you bargained for or thought possible

If one went into the fire, that may help understand it. Even from the beginning with the flaming sword that keeps the way of tree of life. That would be the first subject material to explore. And not so much what all these study books say. More what is being said to you from in your own heart and life and death in general. I know about trying to find the answers in books. Good background, for the spirit to work with mostly. Just knowing a verse or 2 can help, but not needed. Depends on when the spirit takes you there. Like it did John and Paul and many many more. The first flame, reminds and straitens out your first love. 1 Of seven in Revelations, but it seems the first one is the power of them all. Even when all the flames are lit. And it's still a journey to meet your Christ. 10I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Is that all there is in us? Or is there more we have to offer. What will survive the lake of fire?
-
Fortunately that love is built into us and is totally freed at his will when we most need it. I believe and most certain, that there is life after death, immediately. And the Lord Jesus Christ does have you in his hand of love and power and life everlasting. The last time we close our eyes to this we see, they are opened to new life in Christ. May Peace take place in your heart Kit, as tough as it is, it is there.

Mathematical exactness and scientific precision...
cman replied to Steve Lortz's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
I think if we look more to interpretation and not definition, we could see more. An interpretor does not define words, but uses words you already know to communicate the meaning of what is said. Interpretation that we can hear, anyone understand what I'm trying to say? I'm not against defining words, it helps a little, if it's not limited to one. More after what is meant for me to hear and see. -

I wonder why..... What does that have to with anyone at all? Not saying it doesn't, just proposing the question for thought. Cause I think it points to places to be discovered. No matter, christian, muslim, or whatever, or no religion specified. I also think that everything we see in nature, shouts about what we are. So, not only do the scriptures declare Christ, but the farthest star smiles back. -

Interesting bit about 'house'. Since it refers to us, imo. -

if you get too technical you loose the spirit of the spirit it's like so much beyond science or math or language that the new tongue bypasses all that and may not be heard right away or even in the same words used cause each one who interprets is different and we each need and can hear different things there is so much poetry and murals and abstract ideas that we can each gain something you just can't nail it down to definition much like the parables and riddles there is so much in them that they can't be grasped fully but experienced, yes even then there is more to see -

Good question as language and communication is embedded in our souls so is the catalyst and like Tom refers to being exposed to more, will bring more of it out if we can hear it, or rather when we can or in it's own time which is ours but there is also that which flows through us all and with us that cannot be denied, once seen as close as our breath the air we all share -

more wisdom in questions then answers, Ham the bible, by itself, will mostly confuse as in all communication and languages unless you are, or become the author even for a moment, their can be some clarity with other moments of changing perspectives the saying 'looking through a glass darkly' the darkness is where the light is and the glass is a mirror one can not see, without combining within, yourself and the words, without a catalyst
