God’s Budget and Double Doors .... On the Scarcity of Miracles
cman replied to Mike's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
I see a big problem with the receive retain release deal. There should not be a retain factor, everything one receives is usually released anyway. Problem is the retain thingy. We receive and release all the time, no matter what it is. We should not retain most of it. Let our spirit sort it out. -

God’s Budget and Double Doors .... On the Scarcity of Miracles

That's a carrot on a stick crap promoted by the unlearned. It's just not a thing. The perfectly renewed mind? Not on scripture or the lives of the saints. -
and the dead in Christ shall rise first For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead

But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body

Nice Nathan you said that very well -
O Yes, the infamous Luke 23:43. I never had a problem with it till pfal made it a problem child. Like much of the crap in pfal. Revelation 12:5 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. The tree of life, guarded by the flaming sword that turns every way. Yes, every way, indeed! Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

It's really sad about Craig, that he is not growing up. Still with the condemnation of everyone attitude. I would like to see him break out of those chains of elementary school stuff.

I guess it doesn't matter what anyone believes, we will all be dead eventually, one day. It just seems closer to me than it used to.

Religion has a vaccine for the Reason Virus

Thinking of spiritualism, I wasn't thinking of that stuff, I was thinking about eastern religions. -
this is why you are not taken seriously, ignorance

this is the point of the story

no one went to heaven before Jesus, he was the first to complete the journey

Christ reveals everything in the heart. If you go into the desert by yourself then that is who you have to deal with, yourself, there is no one else to blame.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Well... as God has already done it through Jesus Christ, it's a done deal, time is no factor to God for anyone to be raised from the dead. However, we see it as time, lots of time it seems. As each person dies, like graveyard dead, they are raised. And then there is dyeing before we die, where we are born again... as the saying goes....

it's not about you mark, believe it or not

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
