I haven't been able to post here for a very long time. The rare posts I made were emailed to a disinterested 3rd party and subsequently put up, which as we all know tends to diminish the spontaneity of our sparkling wit and verbosity. Our Greasy Tech told me to try Mozilla Firefox in chat last night, and now here I am! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr Greasy Tech!! May the Lord richly bless you with lotsa GoJo mechanics hand cleaner. There have always been "gangs". In the 1860's, there were Irish gangs. In the 1920's to the present, there have been Italian, Irish, black, Puerto Rican, Polish, Jewish, hispanic and assorted gangs representing almost every demographic, economic and cultural segment of our society. It's interesting the reactions here as the wise and rational simply wish to move from the infected places and the sanctimonious and self righteous criticize those who leave while the sheep bleat "racist" to those who choose to resist. Is it not "racist" when certain people threaten, disrespect, and even kill those who are white just because they're white? Is their "racism" more valid than that (if it be that) of those who simply wish to live peaceably? My hat is off to the lady who began this thread and chooses NOT to live with it (I only wish her wonderful posts hadn't been deleted as what she said NEEDED saying) while being criticized by one who claims to quiver in fear at the very thought of entering a white middle class neighborhood, ostensibly, because white middle class neighborhoods harbor child molesters, spouse abusers, animal abusers etc etc etc while minority "gang" types never, ever do such things and are as pure as the driven snow. To those who have the temerity to criticize those who resist the violent threat to their lives, families and private property IN KIND, just remember...it's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

Cool Waters... For years I've heard all manner of rhetoric from assorted "group think" types who justify their attitudes and actions using vague generalities and stereotypes. For example, the Ku Klux Klansman who carries on about blacks and other minorities or blacks who rant about whites and hispanics who despise blacks etc. etc. I'm curious as to what the difference might be between your rhetoric regarding white middle class people and the Klansmans rhetoric about his pet peeve du jour. If you defend this type of activity...that advocates violence to disrupt the status quo of a particular racial or economic demographic, then you're no different than the Klansman...and neither are your "gang" buddies. I read most of the folks here as willing to take arms to defend their private property, families, lives etc. This is certainly the right thing to do since they don't advocate aggression against others as you evidently do in defending those who do. The posts from the "liberal" types like Pee Mosh, Rocky etc are quite predictable since it seems liberals, like Pavlov's dogs, can only masticate, micturate, fluctuate, defacate and masturbate at the sound of certain stimuli, and can't be taken too seriously. I think your comments to Jonny Lingo are particularly offensive because, it's true, he DIDN'T say anything about calling SEALS in to attack Christian fellowships because they might harbor pedophiles, however, he MIGHT take a different view if the fellowships were armed and aggressively killing and stealing to achieve their ends. So tell me, why are you and your beloved "gang" types any better than the Klan or the nazi types you seem to want to accuse others of being?

Different things work for different people. YOU need to learn all you can about YOU! Go back and read Belle's post...all HONEST cardiologists and GP doctors will tell you research shows cholesteral and such is 95% genetic...I was first told this at the University of California at Davis Medical Center when I was initially being tested for cardio problems. It was one year ago I began my current regimen of diet/exercise when I went for my 6 month pacemaker check and weighed around 320 lbs. It was all I could do to waddle back to the examination room and got winded doing it. Here's what I did. Step one, I learned all I could about myself and how assorted foods and supplements work. I got an exercise bicycle (actually, I rescued one from some discarded junk and made some repairs), parked it in front of my teevee set and began pumping away...started at 15 minutes per day. Step two, portion control. I began measuring my food, typically, with a measuring cup e.g. 1/3 cup cottage cheese, I oz salmon etc. etc. and RELIGIOUSLY (dare I use that word here?) maintaining a daily journal of every bite of food I put in my mouth. Step three, ELIMINATE all white stuff such as sugar (if you MUST sweeten, use Splenda), white flour, taters, white rice etc. Eat lots and lots of MEAT! Pork is good for you...red meat, liver, chicken and especially fish. I eat fish AT LEAST three times a week....usually a lot more. Raise/hunt and kill your meat yourself...or obtain it from an individual who raises it themselves. The further away from commercial meat, the better. Vegetarianism is suicide. This has been proven medically. Meat is vital for healthy muscle tissue. I take the following supplements... Alpha Lipoic Acid, Creatine, Cod Liver Oil, Omega 3 Fish Oil, Co Q-10, DHEA, Melatonin, l-Lysene, Chromium Piccolinate, Niacin and a good LIQUID vitamin supplement. Each day I ingest a tablespoon of Apple Cider vinegar in a glass of water (once again, if you MUST sweeten, use Splenda), eggs, sardines and a grapefruit or two. Andrew and I start each day with a milk shake made up of milk, a measure of WHEY (not soy...soy is bad IMNSHO) protein powder, a raw egg and a banana, all whipped together in my super duper blender (Vita Mix). I eat 5 or 6 meals a day...at least as much as possible, eating every two hours or so...very small meals. This keeps the metabolism in high gear helping to burn fat and convert your food to muscle. Never allow yourself to feel hungry. Eat SOMETHING when you first get up....breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should be the biggest. Here are the latest results... I weighed in this morning at 195. My cholesteral is 170 my blood sugar is normal I went to the cardologist on Dec 28 and he took me off my blood pressure pills since my BP was 190/80 without them, gloated and gushed over the shape I was in. I have a witness...Bowtwi went with me that day and will tell you. Last week, I was officially made Scoutmaster and I have the energy and stamina to stay ahead of the boys, feeling better and doing as much as I did at age 25...and I just turned 59 last Thanksgiving. I admit that cigarettes and coffee are still an important part of my life, but I can only deal with one vice at a time and since at last count, my blood oxygen saturation level was 95%, after smoking for 40+ years, I can't complain and neither can the docs. I'll reiterate that everyone is different and what works for one may not work for another, so learn as much as you can about YOU, first.

I dunno...I just answered the questions honestly and another possibility no one ever counted on appeared...go figure.

Tom suggests... "check out the local bar and see if anyone offers free consultation, or consultation for a minimal fee..." I think this is really good and sound advice. I used to go down to the "Dew Drop Inn" where I could get all the consultation I could ever need for the price of a few beers.

Santa dies at children's party Friday December 22, 2006 Guardian Unlimited Children watched in horror as a Santa Claus collapsed and died as he handed out presents at a Christmas party on Sunday. Andrew Robertson was taken ill as the excited youngsters received their gifts. The 82-year-old was taken to a side room and attempts made to revive him, but he was pronounced dead when medics arrived. Mr Robertson, from Dundee, had played Santa at the city's Broughty Castle bowling club Christmas party, held for the grandchildren of members, for several years. "Andy was a father figure in the club who never had a bad word to say about anyone," Ian Smart, the bowling club's secretary, said. "If you asked him to do anything for you, he would always say 'no problem'. "One wee kid said 'how are we going to get our presents next week if Father Christmas is ill?' - they didn't understand what had happened." Mr Smart said Mr Robertson, who had played an active role in the club, was "well liked and will be sorely missed". Mr Robertson's brother, Alister, said he had complained about feeling hot shortly before collapsing. "The kids saw him getting taken away," he told the Courier newspaper. "They knew something was wrong with Santa Claus as he went away with the two guys, but they didn't see anything further. "It has been quite a shock for everybody, but my view is that he was there thoroughly enjoying himself when he was struck down." http://www.guardian.co.uk/christmas2006/st...1977823,00.html

Since this isn't about whether or not the state should endorse any particular religion (and never has been), but, in truth, it's about whether the state should ACKNOWLEDGE the right of the prople to do as they see fit, I suggest a new prayer for the secularists and liberals... Our Government, Which art in Washington, Inculpable be Thy actions. Thy empire come. Thy will be done, Around the globe As it is in the US. Give us this day Our daily bread, Free retirement, healthcare, Environmental protection, Transportation, education, Protectionist tariffs, Security, regulation, Fiat currency, and anything else the majority of registered voters wants. And go more into debt, As we become more debtors. And lead us into blind obedience, As we give up our freedom. For Thine is the Empire, and our incomes and the military, and police powers, and the glory, forever. Or until the loose fiscal policy, borrowing money, and creating the fiat currency necessary to, sustain the socialistic paternal State combines with the insurmountable cost of defense against the global unrest caused by poor foreign policy and brings the whole Ponzi scheme crashing to its knees. Amen

I'm partial to "Oh, Come All Ye Faithful". There are two that aren't necessarily about Christmas, but I always associate them with Christmas...Pachelbels "Canon" and "Pia Jesu" as sung by Charlotte Church.

Had to cut it's head off for the dog to munch on so the dog would leave the rest alone.

Abi, Bear isn't usually available at the grocery store. I do a lot of my grocery shopping out in the woods where deer, rabbit, squirrel and bear seem to hang out. I shop with a .50 cal. muzzleloader. It tastes more like a mix of beef and pork. Since bear is related to a pig, and it's quite the scavenger, the trichinosis thing only makes sense. You have to cook it REAL good.

Why doesn't Raf report serious hard news like this? ===================================== Flatulence, not turbulence forces plane landing in Nashville Flatulence brought 99 passengers on an American Airlines flight to an unscheduled visit to Nashville early Monday morning. American Flight 1053, from Washington Reagan National Airport and bound for Dallas/Fort Worth, made an emergency landing here after passengers reported smelling struck matches, said Lynne Lowrance, a spokeswoman for the Nashville International Airport Authority. The plane landed safely. The FBI, Transportation Safety Administration and airport authority responded to the emergency, Lowrance said. The passengers and five crew members were brought off the plane, together with all the luggage, to go through security checks again. Bomb-sniffing dogs found spent matches. The FBI questioned a passenger who admitted she struck the matches in an attempt to conceal body odor, Lowrance said. The woman lives near Dallas and has a medical condition. The flight took off again, but the woman was not allowed back on the plane. "American has banned her for a long time," Lowrance said. She was not charged but could have been. While it is legal to bring as many as four books of paper safety matches onto an aircraft, it is illegal to strike a match in an airplane, Lowrance said.

Please note: It's about the ARK, not the ARKIE. Just wanted to clarify that.

Garth... It's interesting to me that you seem to always put this is the context of "stores" rather than individual liberty or individual freedom of expression, which to me is the fundamental issue at hand...not what "stores" do. I wasn't going to comment until I "processed" that a little more, so would you care to expand on that a bit? Although the nation wasn't necessarily founded on Christian principle, as many assert, it WAS founded on a paradigm of acknowledgment of a supreme being. In so doing, it placed the seat of authority in the hands of the people as individuals accountable to an authority ABOVE that of the secular state, one of the results being the eventual demise of the concept of "divine right of kings". When the state, via courts, tort and legislation, starts deciding what people may say and how they may express themselves and their beliefs in the public square or where and how they may pray etc. then the secular state is seeking to replace God or the individual conscience with itself at the top of the accountability food chain. When the state allows it's citizens to place crosses or nativity scenes or whatever on the courthouse square, then that's NOT endorsing or establishing anything but rather ACKNOWLEDGING the right of WE THE PEOPLE to express ourselves freely and that the people, rightfully, are accountable to something higher and more omnipotent than the state. When the state seeks to quash this freedom of expression, then we have a HUGE, HUGE problem and it must be dealt with quickly, efficiently and thoroughly.
