Belle, I gotta an extra pair of flipflops I'll toss ya. ;) Can we dance on the TABLE? If somebody turns the jukebox up really loud? -

Don't forget your handy dandy all purpose ready for any situation and then some, swiss army knife. Make sure it's the one with the toothpick. You just never know.....

For what it's worh, Belle. You take on Crispy, you get me. She has totally risked herself by saying what she thinks along with alot of other people involved, who have something to risk here. It's really easy for people who have no relationships, or nothing at stake to say what they think. It isn't the case for some of us. Please respect that. -

therebutforgrace Thanks for speaking those words. Some of the people involved in this mess, I've known for decades, and really care about. Thanks for the balance in your perspective. -
Dooj, we always serve Prime Rib and Yorkshire Pudding on Christmas Eve as well. Jeff is the chef, but I looked up his recipe, and it's the same as Chas'. And as she said, the secret to success is the hot oven. And this year, as a added surprise for our guests, we are making Twinky's sticky toffee pudding recipe for dessert. Yum.

We went to the Trans Siberian Orchestra Concert here yesterday. Chas, you were right! We had a total blast. The music was fantastic.

Tom Strange, I don't know that there is anybody who posts here, who has been really involved with CES. I was unaware of a "prophetic counsel," but that's not surprising since I haven't been involved for many years. It must have come to be after my involvement. My husband and I have been invited to become a part of this group over the years, but have always politely declined, being quite content with our church/bible study participation here where we live. I attended the CES meeting in Munich, to reconnect with some old friends. That week-end was really fun for me, and I enjoyed it immensely. If I hadn't already been in Europe when it happened, I wouldn't have gone. Other than that, I have nothing really to add here. All this stuff is quite frankly, pretty shocking to me. Some of the characters in this soap opera, my husband and I have known since our teens, and college days. I have endeavored to keep up friendships, but that's about it. As I said, I really don't think that there is anybody who posts here that has been a part of CES. At least, not to my knowledge. -

Jeff, Thanks for posting. I imagine is it pretty risky for you. Your insight is much appreciated, since "you were there." Hope you and yours are well, and you enjoy the holidaze in spite of it all. -

CES is in a Mess...

Well, I too just recently became aware of this situation. I have heard the exact same things that Captain Crunch has posted. It really makes me sick, as it seems to be a rerun of stuff that is reminiscent of our former cult. :( Hopefully, the mess will get straightened out, as many good people have already been hurt. The using and abusing of people has to stop. From what I understand, most of the "leadership" of CES is really upset about this turn of events. As they should be. We'll see what happens, I guess. -
Best Wishes to you! on your special day.

Well, I love Amy Grant's "Breath of Heaven," as well as "Hark the Herald." And Celine Dion's "Ave Maria," is awesome, and Andrea Bocelli's "Panis Angelicus." Shades of Midnight Mass.... My daughter has been playing Kelly Clarkson singing "O Holy Night," which I love as well. And of course, there is always Judy Garland singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," which reminds me of my childhood, along with Nat and Bing.

Thank you, Roy. Your words are so pecious to me, as are all the other words here from dear friends.

Wow, t-bone, you have given me the greatest compliment I could ever receive. Thanks for that. Relationships with the people I love, and who love me are the biggest priority in my life. And I think "self-awareness" allows us to give the greatest gift we can give, in those relationships........ourselves, heart and soul. What an awesome topic this is.

Wow, what if one happens to be a blond Aggie with a Polish last name? <_<

Thanks for all the kindnesses on my birthday. It was a wonderful day with my family. A sweet memory for sure.

Hope you have a great day, my friend!

Well, we have our tickets. And I can't wait. We got tickets for the 3:00 show, so we will make a day of it down in Houston. The kids have no school the next day.....so we can party. And Tommy, you must be psychic, because, yes indeed my precious little cherub done went and got his little beehind grounded........again. Sigh. -
Thanks for all the warm wishes. Tis so nice to get up and come to the cafe for breakfast, and experience the comraderie at this unique place in cyberspace. Tommy, you know me to well. I do have the day off, and I am spending it.......yes, I confess...... to doing laundry. But, it's okay, because I'm also listening to The Joshua Tree and high volume (loud as I want) and Tucker the wonder dog is keeping me company. I've been given orders to be dressed and ready to go out by 6 pm. So I'm sure twill be a wonderful day, depsite the laundry detail. ;)
