Ok, I'll bite. What is your interpretation of those verses, or is it that you choose to ignore them or discount them, please explain why you think the inclusion of christ is having a one and only doctrine of christ-ianity? So you're saying preaching christ is an exclusionary doctrine that isn't fair? What's wrong with acknowledging both God and Christ, you have a problem with that being the definition of Christianity or are YOU talking about another doctrine?? How do you define the identity of a Christian? (If you are a non Christian, again, I am not addressing you, I am addressing the original first post topic, I am not discussing the validity of Christ with those who are non Christian, all are free to decide what they believe, again, I am addressing the original post.) I am stating what the bible states, is the bible also elitist? maybe? What is your definition of these verses? We are talking about the bible here, are we not? Is this not the Doctrinal forum, it isn't the philosphy of man forum, the doctrine of the bible is the subject here right? Phil 2:8, ff. . .he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. You do not acknowledge Jesus Christ or his accomplishments? You don't think anyone should need to? I can't see any other way around it, Jesus Christ is the fulcrum of the bible, and he follows us thru to Revelations, he is there too, I cannot dismiss him as he is integral to God, the written word, and those who worship Him. I do see the bible demands the acknowledgement of Christ from cover to cover. What is it that you are stating, I have stated plainly my position, not one of you who've dissagreed with me has offered up any sort of statement as to why or explained your position, but you shoot mine down so easily. I might say you are being elitist by not sharing your side of the discussion.

And let me define my earlier statement, which is that acceptance of Jesus Christ is the mark of true spirituality biblically speaking, as when he was alive as well as today, and the mark of true christianity which bears his name. Jesus Christ's coming was the ongoing theme throughout the OT from Genesis thru the Gospells, and he still is a main theme in the NT from the Gospells which were written about him, thru Revelations. My words don't make knees bow in the heavens, but God's words do, is it not God who states that by the name of Jesus Christ shall every knee bow? Does it not say that? I believe that's what this passage in the bible says. If you don't believe in Christ or the bible, my comments aren't really directed toward you anyway, I am addressing those who call themselves Christians, and the originating post. Believe what you will, define spirituality as you will, but my post was directed toward a specific comment.

The only elitism that I know from the bible for today's time is that every knee shall bow to Jesus Christ....that is the defining mark of spirituality and christianity for today, bar none. If you don't aknowledge him along with God, you're lost. Phil 2:9,10 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Waysider, I read the article on the iron overload and cancer article, and found that other research from Harvard Medical School and the European Molecular Laboratory have substanciated it. Wow, I recently switched from cooking in Teflon pans to steel and cast iron pans because of the cancer link to Teflon. Now I may have to reconsider the cast iron pans....That article says if you have the missing gene, then iron overload can cause cancer. Regarding the anti-statins, they are touted as an aide to reduce the occurance of stroke, they're not just a heart attack fighter, both scarry stuff.

We bought our last van from ebay, 3 years ago, it was at a good price, and was exactly as represented. I would buy again online from ebay, just make sure you do your homework first and check out the seller.

I don't know, it seems a lot of them started out young and fresh, and demonstrated the power of God. I know of one who healed a blind person in his early days, Martind*ale started off as a Baptist Okie, there's people who post here who knew CGeer in the beginning. It really seems they were molded into what they became, or grew cynical and dissolutioned, some have self destructed as a result.

I wonder if the reason why some of the men who were bodyguards, and in vpee's inner circle were so abusive, in turn, to their own wives, was because they learned it from vic.. I know of one who actually beat his wife, and there have been posts here on GS from eyewitnesses to CGe*r being extreemly verbally abusive to his wife. I'm sure Vpee influenced them greatly as a "tupos" mog of the standard toward treating women...afterall, some of them even fetched him his girls...

Noni, I noticed you posted that you received a lot of xmas cards from friends all over the world, and you asked for ideas on how to display them. I have hung them with tape on a ribbon or cord hanging down from the mantle on the fireplace, I've actually taped them to the inside of the front door, I also display them on the mantle or the table I have the family photos on. Getting some women's magazines like martha stewart living or good housekeeping etc., at the check out counter at the grocery store help with ideas. You know there's something to be thankful for in not really having the Christmas thing in your past, the xmas season is a high month for fatal heart attacks which is partially due to stress, so be glad you don't have all that stress and bad habits in your background! Whatever you do, enjoy yourself!

Noni, Any cookie can be a Christmas Cookie, and they don't have to be decorated. If you give them away, most people pack them into a metal tin or in a basket or even a small white box. Containers are often sold in drug stores. Whatever you do, make sure you enjoy it, and if cookie baking is not your thing, then make your own traditions. Every family and culture around the globe have their own traditions, do what suits you. Happy Holidays!

This is no ordinary cookie! I just made the first batch of cookies from this recipe and they came out great, just like bakery cookies. This recipe is actually from the Paradise Bakery chain. The key ingredient is the cake flour, it gives a fine grain and soft texture to the cookie. These are like the old fashioned sugar cookies, they're best when they're rolled out extra thick. This cookie will bake up with little color, if it browns on the edges it's probably over done, dust with granulated sugar right after they come out of the oven or ice with Royal Icing when cool. These are fabulous! PARADISE BAKERY SUGAR COOKIES 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup confectioners' sugar 2 cups shortening 3/4 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract 1 egg, beaten 4 1/3 cups cake flour 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt Sugar for decorating Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a medium bowl, mix together the sugars and shortening using an electric mixer. Mix on slow speed for 30 seconds, then scrape down the bowl with a spatula. Increase speed to medium and mix for 3 minutes. Slowly add vanilla extract and egg while mixing. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the mixing bowl, mixing on slow speed until just blended. Do not over mix. Dough may be rolled out on lightly floured board or between 2 sheets of parchment paper, and cut with cookie cutters or biscuit cutters, or scooped with an ice cream scoop and placed directly on cookie sheet. If scooped, flatten with palm of hand. Bake at 375 degrees F for 9 to 10 minutes. Cookies are done when small cracks appear. Ideally, the edges do not brown. Sprinkle liberally with granulated sugar after baking. Makes 3 dozen cookies. Enjoy!

Thanks Tzaia, You know I'm so far removed from Ces, I am way behind the curve as to who all the players are. So You were not referring to EL as the woman imbeded in the docs, can you say which doc you're referring to? I guess D of C is the reason behind the suits which might lead to problems with his future employment, if he doesn't go back to window washing that is. These days everything's on the net.

Yeah, it was weird, made me think of how the shuttle Columbia broke up over TX that morning. It was bright white light that streaked across the sky, fast, low, but a short distance, it looked like a big piece of shrapnal by the size of the front end of the streak. Just like at night, but durring the day.

Geez, WhiteDove, I guess in your world then we should blame victims of rapists, the child suffering child abuse from a parent, the boy raped by his priest. So you're saying the victim of a violent rape that has lingering problems never took personal responsibility to take the hit and work through it either, they shoulda stood against it and know inside themselves that they were better than being treated like that, they shouldn't feel bad about it. Huh...right. Only the strong survive, the weak, the fragile, the fearful can't hack it and it's their own fault. Hmmm? Say White Dove, just curious, how did you leave TWI, did you leave of your own volition, or did they bounce you out on your ear?

I saw a huge metior strike during the day, I think it was Thursday, really surprised me it was very low, bright, and looked huge.
