  1. The show ran from the mid to late '90's.

  3. I'll have to watch it again, my memory is failing me.. Ok, here's the new one: Rebel teen moves from the big city to a small town, he takes it upon himself to initiate a battle to abolish outmoded town rules and revitalize the spirit of the repressed townspeople.
  4. Hi Raf, congrats, good speech! Great to see journalists interested in integrity and helping each other succeed. I've always appreciated journalists who are there to present the truth, warts and all, who respect the reader, where you can count on getting the straight scoop from their writings, in contrast to those few who desire to gain personal accolade and sensationalism, who often give journalism a bad name. Thanks for sharing the video with us, good job, keep up the good work!

  6. That's a whole lotta star power from one single highschool east of Beverly Hills, its great to have such people come from your home town, and you too, George! I remember the Uncle Buck scenes with the drill and the hatchet, and the comments to the principal with the mole, but can't seem to recall the one with the golf club though...very cute kids and funny movie.
  7. After all, the guy died wearing a peanut suit, killed by an elephant. Yeah--born in a trunk, died in a trunk! Okay. Forget what he was wearing! Suppose he hadn't been dressed as a peanut--would it still be funny? ...It could have been worse... he could have gone as Billy Banana--and had a gorilla peel him to death.
  8. Yes, thanks, I watch both, USA network has some great series.
  9. Look, can I give you some advice? You'll never make it down to the harbor. Why don't you all give yourselves up? Either you'll kill somebody, or you'll get killed. Either way - you could start a war! Remark to this, we must have boat. Even now may be too late. This is your island, I make your responsibility you help us get boat quickly, otherwise there is World War III, and everybody is blaming YOU! ..... You told them everything they wanted to know, just like Arnold Benedict! That's Benedict Arnold, not Arnold... What are you saying, Pete? Are you saying you think your father is a TRAITOR? Yes I am! I bet I'm the only kid in the fourth grade whose father IS a famous trader. That's *traitor*. Just stop it, Pete! You're being silly!
  10. Is it Uncle Buck? (A true classic.)
  11. Oops, you're right George, moving too fast there.... Dances with Wolves Mary McDonnell Grand Canyon
  12. Mary McDonnell Grand Canyon Danny Glover
  13. Old Faithful Geyser Erupting Live
  14. Maybe my choice of pics didn't communicate exactly what I wanted, maybe these are better....
  15. All freshmen are required to take a humanities course. What's so bad about that? Well the choices are absurd. Listen to this one, Humanities 1. Man, society, civilization, and the universe. How am I supposed to relate to this stuff? Just don't talk in class, and they'll think you're one of them. I'm in college to learn about money, not people. There's more to life than just getting rich. People who need people are the luckiest people in the world. People who have money don't need people. ------ I know, every cloud has a silver lining. No, silver's down this week. Say every cloud has a zinc lining. ------ All right Andrew you're really coming along with your reading, I'm very proud of you. Thanks, I owe it all to you. Well, let's not get mushy, okay what is this word right here? (Pointing to book) Impeach…. You know sometimes I think we're too harsh on him, he's not just a callous arch conservative republican, sometimes he can be a warm, loving son and brother. Okay now read this one with me okay? I-am-not-a-crook. Hey, hey, hey. Whatever happened to books like uh the little engine that could or the cat and the hat or the grinch that stole Christmas? This, this- Come on dad this is real reading, besides those other books they scare kids. Give 'em nightmares. I mean what's scarier the, the grinch or uh or, or, or little pop-up Richard Nixon? It's hard to say they look so much alike
  16. Rascal, I know what you mean, I remember old vic telling us he stood in the gap for "his people" many times. He would say he prayed for each and every WOW ever day, for all the in residence corps, for all the leadership out on the field for the ones in the UK, for all the ones abroad on all the continents. I remember thinking at the time that he would have time to do nothing else with his day if he really prayed for all those people every day, heck my prayer list was tons shorter by comparison and I had trouble getting enough time to do it, how could he do it? It was even attributed to vp that catastrophic weather and occurrences in America such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, were somehow abated due to him "standing in the gap". I even remeber getting a tape on the wow field from vp where he talked about a wow in Liousianna had sent him a voodoo doll that a voodoo witch had given the wow as a hex and a curse over the wow. The wow had looked to vp as a spiritual one to "stand in the gap" for him to nullify the hex. Thinking of how vp handled Kristen Skegells requests for spiritual help in a critical situation on the podcast Paw has on GS, by ignoring her problem, reminding her it would impact their special times together, and then proceeding to please himself, we all were in a world of hurt if we relied upon him for real help in time of need, thanks be to God and Christ for being the ones to stand in the gap for real. I heard once that some eastern religions teach if you take the credit, praise and thanks from men for things here on earth it nullifies your ability to be recognized for the deed in heaven, sounds like humility to me.
