dmiller, did you just change the meaning? To solve, or explain does not equal private opinion.

Most email servers will only accept individual email messages up to 10MB in size. This prevents someone from crashing a mail server by sending it a 10GB email message every 5 seconds.

Mr. Pipes, I would enjoy reading your letter and details of the response you received.

According to snopes, cats can be baptized given a sufficient quantiy of water and cat nip. ..... Just kidding......

One thing I noticed in Paw's story is something that seems to be common among folks here - noticing things that bothered you in TWI, but those things were shelved and not dealt with. For a group that's so anal about the petiest things (vacumme in a particular direction, string chairs, etc.), how did they ever train us to ignore these things? Kept us so busy so we couldn't contemplate why certain things bothered us? Took advantage of benefit of doubt given to clergy? Promoted a belief that unless you were a "spiritual heavy" you couldn't understand everything and you should shelve it until you are? Interesting thoughts....

No posts in this topic have been deleted or modified. Me thinks your post took a wrong turn on its way to the server. Perhaps it went to TWI’s web site instead? :)

Very nice.

The Time magazine article was the early 70's. I've never seen it. Why expect anyone else to have seen it?

Because TWI is not a para-military cult? Did he not state this was his area of interest?

Do you have anything to back up your thesis?

Couldn't resist....

Did he actually say he was divorced? Craig would make a great research project -- the cult leader that fell. If that's something you have an interest in, you hit a gold mine. His journal is probably a witnessing journal. TWI teaches people to write down their contacts, who - when - where, so they can follow up latter and see if you're more willing to be suckered into their group. It also provides proof that you are doing your witnessing like a good little TWIt. Craig probably types up a summary of his witnessing activities and submits them to Rosalie. From your description, sounds like Craig is doing the Way Disciple program incognito. Work a low-level job, make just enough money to survive, spend several hours a week witnessing to people. Could it be his "spiritual probation" work? You know, he's been on spiritual probation for almost 6 years now. Is Rosalie dangling the possibility of his return in front of him, like a carrot to a horse? If you want a good look at the history of The Way, I suggest reading Karl Kahler's book, "The Cult that Snapped - A Journey Into The Way International". You can get it off his web site: http://www.ex-way.com/

On the used one, I would pass on the extras. Over priced, unless the speakers happen to be top of the line (which is doubtful). Optical mice run for about $20, cordless for $30. Laptops don't usually need surge protectors. Most laptops also have built-in microphones. I would side with Tom, in trying to get a new one rather than used. You'll get more for your money and it should last longer. Shop the online sites you trust and wait for a deal to appear. Dell is running a $100 rebate on laptops now. Here's one for $549, comparable to the one Tom listed. http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/con...c=iB120S2&s=dhs

Can you put in a link to a post that has pictures you cannot load? Or just type the topic title and I'll look at it.

Try hitting F5 to refresh Windows Explorer to force it to update. If it is still showing the same remaining space, double check the file was actually removed. If you delete something, it can be sitting in the recycle bin. Try emptying the recycle bin.

php is a scripting language. php script is executed by running it through the php engine. Most web sites run php in their web server as a module, so when you request a php page (as all pages on this site are), it is parsed, compiled, and executed. But, that's not what you have here. What you have is a link to an RSS feed. It is meant to be used in a news / RSS reader application, such as Omea Reader (there are several out there). It can also be placed within a web site to link to blog entries on another site. See here for more information: http://netforbeginners.about.com/od/rssand...s.htm?terms=rss

Well, I suppose if I accept the findings of those in India, then donkey's would have to be funnier. But I suspect their findings are flawed.
