The lost session issue is a known issue to the company that makes the software, but they are having trouble reproducing it to figure out what is causing it. This always makes tracking down a bug rather difficult. Hopefully they will figure it out soon. In the time being, I've loosened and adjusted just about every setting related to sessions. It has cleared up the issue for some, but not all. Only thing I can suggest is to clear your browser's cache of files and cookies and see if that helps.

Kind of cold at the moment for roasting weenies.

Sam Kinison's network TV debut on Late Night with David Letterman

The only taxes TWI is subject to is revenue from their bookstore and employer payroll taxes. Giving money to U of T would be of no use to them as a tax write off. There is no tax to write off. BTW: This topic made the front page of GreaseSpot.

It cannot mean that TWI gave this much money each year, nor did anyone else listed there. Their 2005 report states they received 10.2 million in donations, yet there are 3 companies listed as giving between 5 and 9.9 million. If those three companies only gave 5 million each during the year, then total donations would be over 15 million. The numbers don't add up. The report does say it lists everyone who gave at least $100 during the year, so TWI would have had to given at least $100 for that year. But the number listed for their giving between $100,000 and $500,000 is cumulative over the years. Even so, it's a big number.

Looking at the reports, it is my impression that individuals or organizations listed there are by cumulative donations. In other words, the total of what has been given over the years. TWI may have given that money 20 years ago, or have been giving $5,000 per year over the last 20 years. If I had to guess, it was given as a bribe years ago in an attempt to get accreditation for their corpse program.

Dr. John Juedes is one person with class and integrity. For someone who has never been a part of The Way International, he has done more research to expose them for what they are than anyone I know. Someone who knows the meaning of helping someone else. When I was going through my divorce, he was kind enough to write a personal letter to the court handling my case detailing what he knew of the dangers of allowing a child to grow up in The Way. He never knew me before that point, but he saw he could help someone and did. Excellent interview Paw.

Potato, Do you have a link?

A lot of it is a port from the old site. The improvements mostly are in the functionality, along with the new look. It is far more easier to add content to it now. It has an excellent search feature. And we've been able to integrate the podcast directly into it along with a nice flash player. Starting now, we will be able to add content on the fly (any volunteers to write content?). No more static html files. Paw can put in a GS Radio episode with little effort and have it automatically not only show up on the front page, but show up in iTunes. We've also improved the Waydale archive of it. All of it is searchable directly. The PDF and audio files are in an easily browsable download section. You would not believe the number of hours that went in to putting the site together. I think I put in about 12 hours this weekend alone just getting the podcast component working along with a decent looking flash player. I think Paw put in more just creating the episode. My hope for the site is that it not only continues to help people who have been hurt and taken advantage of by The Way International, but it makes it easier for us to be an even bigger pain in the foot to The Way International.

Pop-up blocking is pretty standard these days. IE7 and Firefox do it by default without any add-on. Same for Opera. Not sure about ad blocking in IE or Opera, but the one for Firefox works great. A nice feature is that it updates itself as new ad urls are found.
-
There is no reason for MySpace to shut down the site, outside of a blatant disregard for using paragraphs. The entire (1 page) site is basically a wikipedia page with the readability formating stripped out.
-
Mark, Using an ad blocking extension works much better. I use Firefox with the Adblock Plus extension. Works great and it allows me to exempt a web site with a click of a button. I've come across several web sites that content was being blocked by it that I needed and it was easy to enable getting it. Blacklisting IPs has its drawbacks. For one thing, your browser is still trying to connect to 127.0.0.1 to retrieve content for a web page instead of just ignoring it. Another is that just because a certain IP address serves up adds, it doesn't necessarily mean that is all it serves up. In other words, blacklisting is like using a sledgehammer. Sometimes it's the tool you need, but generally a regular hammer would do much better.

HCW, Next time you're staring at overgrown grass in a ROA field, snap a picture and post it here. We'd all love to see it.

Doesn't matter. Testimony of a child is enough.

This where you call the police. Let them go in, find the pictures and video, and arrest the perverts.

That is about the dumbest thing I've heard come out of TWI. I can't have debt but I can sucker my parents into maintaining the burden of buying a house for me. That way, when TWI wants to move me somewhere else, I'm not responsible for the mortgage payments. If debt is so evil, why is encouraging others to take it on for you acceptable? And do these corpse realize how stupid they look doing this? Common sense seems to be a foreign concept at The Way International.

No. Advertisers do not like paying for false clicks and they should not have to. Only click on an add if it actually interests you.

Two words: Coffee Cups! Tell GT to get off his butt and help finish the new site. ;)

I would rather see no Muslims in office either. I'd rather not have any Christians, Scientologists, Mormans, Hindus, Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or any other religious person in office either. I'd rather have people who can think and act with their own brain, who don't rely on ancient (or current) myths. Then we might not end up with stuff like this: God told me to invade Iraq, Bush tells Palestinian ministers

You can format a floppy to be a system boot disk. Just make sure you put chkdsk on it also.
