  1. Thankyou what the hey..I'm glad I'm not a 'baptised pagan' !!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. So I have never been water baptised, yet I have obeyed Romans 10: 9,10. I speak in tongues ( fluently, distinctly, enunciatedly (!) my question is..what am I missing out on by not having been 'water' baptised. ??
  3. Yes Rascal, there are 'freaks' even in nature but it is definitely NOT the NORM ! 'Adolescent' bulls is the key word is it not ? Young and inexperienced and 'naieve'. Can a bull be 'naieve' (sp)?
  4. Hi Johnny..give her the Word.If you truly believe it works, delivers, heals, sets free..give her the Word, give her Jesus. Gods' Word truly fills the void, pushes out the garbage for those who accept it. God is a God who is drawn to emptiness. Selina and I have dealt quite a bit with single parents and troubled youth since leaving twi. What I said above works better than any pscyciatrist could ever dream of IF you help them through the eyes of Jesus the way I know you can, bless you bro.
  5. Jesus often used analogies in the world to reflect truths in Gods' Word. I utilise this learning tool too if debates come up on things like 'can a Father be His son at the same time' ? 'Is homosexuality naturally occuring in the animal kingdom' etc.. Often the simplicity of Gods' creation reflects the intent in Gods' Word.
  6. Sounds like the person saying this should have really, really , really tried believing that there is also a supreme being referred to as Satan, Devil, Destroyer, Waster etc...!!
  7. With the people I know who have gone onto staff this year..don't try holding your breath for the next say..10 years !! Regarding other churches teaching what was taught in TWI (the good stuff) NUH Dr. W DID bring it all 'together'. Most of the other churches have bits and pieces. If I lived in the States I'd probably be involved with CFFM. I think some people are still so bitter about their twi experience that a public beheading of Loy in front of the fountain of living waters still would'nt help.
  8. Hi Mark..in your reply to Jerry you asked if Jesus did not teach things very well for the disciples to 'miss' things. You can see by reading the N.T. that there were many things they 'missed' and 'forgot'. The two on the road to Emmaeus is one example. Also remember because of travel obstacles and 'media' limitations one can understand why Phillip for example was 'still behind the 8-ball' in his thinking. Also one reads of Apollos being shown a more 'perfect way' of baptism by Aquilla and Priscilla in Acts 18.
  9. Sorry Jerry..I just read it for what it says, noting words like ' you' 'confess' 'mouth' believe' 'heart' 'shalt' 'saved' .I find keeping it simple stops me from becoming a 'jack of all trades, master of none' type of Christian. Hey Evan..if you mean 'mucking up' your doctrinal section by disagreeing with your 'trinitarian', 'water spraying' interpretation of scriptures then.. geeesh, sorry mate !! It's still a discussion forum isn't it ??!!
  10. Hi Jerry..I wasn't 'implying' anything nor 'stating' anything except to say this is how I go about reading and living the Word. To me, someone who spends their life trying to figure out exactly what salvation is or how it happens (when for example we have romans 10:9,10) and does not 'appropriate it' is very foolish. To me Jerry, if Romans 10: 9,10 is NOT the answer, then there is NO answer. Again..this is how (I) read and live the Word, Bless ya !
  11. Hi Jerry..I read through the verses you posted and am wondering what you find incompatible with them ? I am someone who reads 'lightly and simply' only going 'in-depth' when absolutely necessary. I believe a number of scriptures can only be truly 'understood' through the 'light' of actually living the stuff (genosko). For example, understanding what it means to 'smell' the death side of people who choose to live 'carnally' and I'm talking about Christians as well etc.. 'Fit for the Kingdom of heaven'..could that be talking about the rewards ?? The Bible even mentions trying to understand 'things of the spirit' from a carnal point of view. How can one explain spiritual things translating it over into our 'five senses standpoint', Jesus tried it with the usage of parables.!

    Lesbianism

Well Garth..as Oakspear said to Dawna on another post.." Better get used to not always getting what you want around here " !!

    Lesbianism

Exactly..somewhere she opened up her mind to this perversion, lowering her standards and dignity, which is one of the main aims of hardcore pornography etc..
  14. Agreed..so why even bother with a 'doctrinal' section ? Does it only serve as a platform for people to 'preach' their 'angle' on Triunity, Harlem Ghetto hell, Getting Hitler saved, Swapping from Monotheistic worship to Triune worship and back again, the Universal Church etc.. ??!!
  15. Hi Dawna..many who have left twi and still want to hold onto majority of truths have found wonderful fellowship with Rev.s'John Shroyer and Wayne Clapp of 'Christian Family Fellowship' <www.cffm.org> I understand they have as many people there now as twi (if not more) ! All the best with your quest !!
  16. Amen and amen !! As someone once said "the Bible is 90 % plain common sense."
  17. About time wouldn't you say Mark..after all its' been 2000 years !!
  18. I have been to 'many' churches and denominations since leaving twi and NONE of them have 'operated' the manifestations the way twi taught.
  19. Please Evan.. God I'm so tired. Do I believe in the 'trinity'...no...but I'll change my mind if someone can show me that I am my earthly daddy..or he is me..?? or..I am him but not in a fatherly sense..?? or... God I'm so tired. Ecclesiastes 12: 12
  20. Hi Bliss..it was actually a girl from Australia kicked out (we were in-res at the same time).
  21. Lovematters..those are the same kind of things I stay thankful for for having learnt as well.
  22. Come on people..instead of 'dickying' around words we know what is meant by 'salvation' and 'eternal life' etc.. Jesus didn't go through what he did just so people could have a 'good life'. ! WTH..I agree..people still come at the Word from an 'I hate Wierwille' attitude which is not theologically honest.
  23. Thankyou, Templelady answered the question on another thread.
  24. ah er..thankyou for the reply templelady.
  25. Or like the 'splinter' groups of breakaway LDS
