Soooo...God got you into it ? lol or was it Wordwolfs persuasive manner/words ? Was Wordwolf pulling your chain when he said God directed him to you ?! As for me...it was my wife who was getting witnessed to over a period of time. I found out later she was waiting for me to decide. She may have been waiting awhile coz I wasn't one bit interested...until I saw it begin to snow inside my living room, on a clear summer day... ...actually, I just came home from work one night. felt 'prompted' to go check it out; asked my wife for the address and went. Nothing really spectacular, sorry ! Mind you, if it took a 'burning bush' incident for everyone to check out God, well, we'd have a planet covered in smoke wouldn't we ?!

The Bible ( if it is to be believed of course ) contains a number of people throughout the ages who came to crossroads in their lives and chose whether to take the left or right, high or low road, from Moses to Jesus to Paul....I don't think it's something unique to any particular person or organization. In our twig area no preferential treatment for people no matter how much they gave but I did notice that entering into the corps there was definitely preferential treatment given to those with plenty of moolah. One example was a family kicked out because of a child with some health issues but another well off couple when the husband developed slight pneumonia he was given something like 6 months to walk the grounds doing nothing except sighing lol can someone spell 'hypocricy'for me

I just think it's a crying shame twi became what it was/is...Christianity in general is more screwed up than what twi was/is,(imo) and IF VeePee had let the music, worship side develop with the times instead of being stuck in a quasi Bill Gaither/country n western groove, I believe groups like Hillsong etc...would have paled in comparison. I think any perceived insults are no more than what you and raf imply in your comments ? ...I'd say that stating that people are lying( re: not admitting faking their tongues etc...) is insulting ?! As for interpretation of tongues I don't believe there is a need to do the usual and analyse it to death when the Bible is pretty clear that at times it will be UNKNOWN, certainly to the one speaking, hence tongues for private prayer life etc... K.I.S.S. method !
