  1. I've always looked on righteousness as 'right living'...not necessary for salvation, but necessary when it comes to being 'blessed of God'. I do not believe a Christian man or woman is going to be blessed of God for example, whilst living a life of debauchery and blatant contradiction of the righteousness of Christ!.Biblically and practically it does not seem to be the case and I'm sure many of us can testify to plenty of examples we've heard of, read about and/ or been eyewitnesses to.
  2. The term 'so heavenly minded, of no earthly use' springs to mind....well, I'd like to think there's a bit of 'heaven' in his mind somewhere !!
  3. ROA stories lol...I remember being at one, the internationals stayed in tent accommodation with the proviso, NO eating or snacking IN the tents. Fair enough, I understand the ant thing etc...so my 3 year old was sitting on the outside edge eating a cookie. Enter Mike Wh!te who was totally pi$$ed at my 3 year olds leg still being INSIDE the tent edge !! Oops, sorry sir. He moved on but was spotted hiding, peering around the edge of the tent and stood there for ten minutes til my son had finished eating...just to make sure....what's the definition of insanity again ?!
  4. This putrid fruit manifested throughout the way tree, every level, every country, many of us saw it with our own eyes. Did it die out with the death of VP ? No. Did it diminish with the demise of LCM ? No. Is it still carrying on ? Yes. A softer twi nowadays ? No. A sneakier, subtle model.

    demerit points

Thankyou everyone for the info...hmmnnn, I have some work to do now, see how I go ! Always got time for GS though

    demerit points

Thankyou Rocky, Wordwolf, Oakspear, Waysider ! It is a 'business venture' I am looking into as well, I would need an agent in each state, so let me know if you may be on the lookout for something to do !! lol...cash outlay from interested people is a big fat ZERO. My apologies also as you are correct there are only 50 states....yet how weird upon googling how many people even Americans thinking there was 51 or 52...some said they always thought Puerto Rico was a state !

    demerit points

Thankyou Rocky ! I didn't really want to google all 52 states lol

    demerit points

Hi all fellow GSérs ! I need a little help with a research programme I am doing concerning demerit point systems world wide. These are 'points' taken off your drivers license along with a fine for excessive speed, dangerous driving etc... after accruing a certain amount a persons drivers license will be suspended for a time period. I know some states use this system, just not sure which ones ? thanks in advance !!
  9. Watered Garden, you two were two of the nicest people we were in residence with ! regarding aid, have you looked into Olive leaf extract ? the fresh picked one from comvita is the best. I personally know of people healed from everything from cancers to std's. It is an immune boosting and virus killing elixir...sorry, it doesn't fix in-grown toenails lol
  10. And yet we have Matthew 18:18,19 where Jesus said where two or more are gathered in his name...unity ?
  11. Point being, scientists for what they have figured out about life and the cosmos is really an infintisamly minute amount of what is out there...and here !!! Some scientists say there could be ten or even more dimensions than the three or four we have figured out, they talk about God particles and dark matter and 'string theories'...one thing is darn sure to many of us...Something a bit more intelligent than us figured and planned it all out.
  12. saint and sinner alike....hmmnnnn, this was my other line of thought because there are plenty of self empowering, focusing, directional books and conferences that go on....Tony Robins is one motivator ( change your thoughts/change your life )expounder. I have read up quite a bit lately about prayer vibration, a quick google brings up lots of sites and information...only difference is I prefer to give the glory to God Almighty, as He would have set the whole deal, physics, multi- dimensional thingy up.
  13. Believed to receive ? they may very well have done in their early Christian walk before becoming weary and cynical, like many others. I think the 'joy' of the Lord has much to do with believing and receiving, as does love when it comes to energizing ones faith.
  14. Interesting you bring up the camera/mental image thing Wordwolf...my wife ( Selina ) when we were believing for finances to get ourselves and 5 kids to Indiana Campus from New Zealand with not a lot of spare change hanging around, we would s.i.t. and she had a mental image of us arriving there and sitting around a brick wishing well at the front of campus ( neither of us had ever seen the campus before ) of course when we arrived there ( through a set of small miracles )what was sitting smack out the front ?!....go figure
  15. Newsflash !!!! twi were/are not the only Christian outfit to believe in believing !!! Yes they took it to 'extremes' but I would venture to say it IS Biblical in concept, from Genesis to Revelation. Heck, To get 'born-again' one must what ? 'Apparently' this enables one to receive holy spirit...freedom of will decision to believe AND receive.
  16. Nice Steve ! and I won't get into the 'vibration' of prayer ( it's rather new agey but appears to work too ) but yes indeedy all prayer and thanks should go to God the Father
  17. Oh I don't know Steve, I believe in gravity, not because It's a scientific principle that can be explained to me in 50 differn't ways but rather ( from a practical point of view ) if I jump off a cliff I'm gonna end up at the bottom ! Just as I believe in the believing Jesus was talking about because I and many others have seen it in action, when the situation was within the parameters of a promise in God's Word and the person thanking and praying to Father had NO doubt He would bring it to pass.
  18. When the impossible comes to pass through believing God's Word, it's called a godly conclusion
  19. New Life, MWRAP, you summed it up nicely for ( me at least) ...Just because twi ( small letters intended ) promoted something doesn't mean it was ALL wrong
  20. sure glad Jesus came to 'uncomplicate' life !! I think I'll stick with what works though Steve ( in a practical sense ) the way I see it if I need a fire to get warm and someone tells me to use matches, someone else tells me to use a cigarette lighter, someone else says no those don't work, use sticks instead, someone else wants to know how hot a fire I want or tells me I can't start a fire without the right kind of kindling...it doesn't matter if the fire ignites does it ?
  21. I agree Twinko...that's why I'll stick to simply 'believing'...it works ( for me anyways )
  22. As an aside, I had kidney problems years ago and one particular time I was bent over in pain. My 4 year old ( at the time ) came over, put her hand on the spot and prayed over me...never had a problem since, been 20 years....also, it just occurred to me...why are there 'manifestations' of holy spirit given as part of the gift ? Waste of time wouldn't you think ? God coulda just said "no manifestations...just pray" !!...let us reason together here brother !! Agape`
  23. Yeah look Steve, something's still not right...number 1/ you have not answered my question about what Jesus meant in Matthew 21:22...to the point this is getting almost ridiculous just tell me what you think Jesus was meaning....btw, didn't Jesus say to someone "If YOU can BELIEVE, all things are possible to THEM THAT BELIEVETH "?????? 2/ I'm not trying to be dogmatic here, it's just that as someone who has seen 'believing' in action ( and I'm talking a 'believer' 'believing' ) your point ( to me at least ) is rather, shall we say...lacking
  24. Steve...could you please give me an ANSWER to my question regarding what Jesus meant when he said what he did in Matthew 21:22 ? I cannot believe Jesus was merely teaching a 'theological system' otherwise NOTHING would have happened in his ministry !!! If you were to explain that what Jesus was saying was your prayer with believing get's God's attention and then maybe God moves then great...
  25. how did we get to sonic screwdrivers ?! wtf ?? and Steve, your explanation reminded me of that verse "much studying makes one mad" ? Isn't it much simpler to believe it...or not ? signs, miracles and wonders are certainly a violation of natural law ( that God created anyways ) but be that may...Jesus must have 'believed' to see them brought to pass and I believe he was showing us the way to at least try to do it too. Jesus did not cast a mountain into the sea, but he sure did raise people from the dead, instantaneously heal sick people, blind people, leprous people, multiply fishes and bread, walk on water etc...of course, he could have been a fraud....or... God ??!!
