Well said Chockfull, they are all too s#*t scared to even step foot into other churches ( lest they be possessed) to LEARN how to do some/many things differn'tly ! It's bleatingly obvious that MORE works in other churches than those with way mentality. Other churches are ALIVE, PROSPERING, FLOURISHING...imagine that ( and that's without the 'accuracy' of the Word ) !!

One of them on my list is my bro-in-law....So I can tell you AT LEAST one or two on that list really haven't changed. I did mention on here a way back, a list/book was being compiled to address decades long areas of concern. I mean, seriously, anyone with any even half a sense of decency have already left and moved on and enjoying their new life of 'abundance & power' I agree whole heartedly with DWBH..the ones calling for 'change', where would they even BEGIN to address the wrongs and hurts THEY THEMSELVES inflicted on those that had sense to leave ??? maybe they could start with just once again, reading Gods' Word for enjoyment and understanding ?? maybe then, verses like this would leap off the pages at them... When my wife and I and kids decided to leave Indiana family campus in '94 coz we saw some things going on that would have made a resident of Sodom and Gomorrah blush, it was jean yves de Liar that got on the phone to me and said they would pay our airfares back to New Zealand ONLY IF we agreed to keep our mouths shut as to what we had seen going on around us...kinda says it all...doesn't it ?!

I think the horrible part is knowing now that not just the kids but the waiters, waitresses, the people that set up the room, the chefs, really all the behind and in front scenes people with great hearts could at any time be 'reamed', yelled and screamed at, reproved heavily for any minor misdemeanour such as, oh I don't know, perhaps missing their cue to come over to a table for something.....by any of those stepford smile women there. The guy that ordered Paul Mosquito who was running Indiana campus at the time to throw me out of Stone Halls top window if I dared open my mouth before being escorted off campus ?? Also ( I'm on a roll here thanks to my lovely 'corona' with a twist of lime lol )...I ran a foundational class about ten years ago with 2 off the chain, dyed in the wool, flamboyantly 'gay' guys in it. last session both of them spoke in tongues like the proverbial 'house on fire'....now, if you believe in s.i.t. as I do, that was confirmation to me that God does indeed desire to have ALL saved and come to a knowledge of the truth !!!!

Also, the state government here adopted a school curriculum encompassing a programme called 'safe schools'. It was meant to be about promoting anti- bullying against lgbtt school kids. Turned out it was really about promoting pornography and 'lifestyle' choices to children as young as 7...needless to say there has been a major enquiry into this. Bottom line I guess is, everybody/organization has an 'agenda' of some sort.

After reading the above articles I'm still of the mind "where does this end ? Is there some sort of line that NEEDS to be drawn ? " ...here in Sydney, Australia a mother has decided to bring her two children up 'gender neutral'...in other words, letting them dress in whatever they want, play with whatever they want, make up for the boy etc....basically deciding as they grow, what 'sex' they want to be/become. I really wonder if this is laying the ground work for real problems later on.....

I think the fact there have been no new posts in the open forum is a pointer that things can get a bit stale here ? Why not bring back a political forum and increase traffic and fire things up again with forum posters ! Surely a political forum would give GS a 'holistic' platform that encompasses so much more that affects us on a spiritual and political and social scale..thankyou

One of our lady posters ( who I love to bits)on here was in her household 'family' when the co-ordinator noticed she wasn't eating her chillie...she wasn't because of her own whatever reason...they literally forced her to eat the daymn thing whilst gagging and dry retching...is that submission ??

And yet I seem to remember a twi teaching where devil spirits first put out the feelers to see a reaction, i.e. uncle How!e touching a girls bum to see the reaction and if he can push for the next level etc...how do you spell 'ironic'?! on the conscience thingy, someone recently gave me their idea and that is that the conscience is kinda like our 'default mode' when we're not listening to God...I like that !!

As one who 'bashes heads' with the 'mod squad' from time to time, my advice is to take a breather every now and then and enjoy a coffee and learn to agree to disagree !Again, something we were never able to do in twi. Also I am thankful I can semi-politely argue without having to be concerned about the phone ringing or the sound of jackboots walking up my driveway lol...enjoy the liberty and freedom

My parents bought them presents, were gracious in every way....and my Dad thoroughly enjoyed having guests from Great Britain in his home. I don't know why this bothered me so. It was just ANOTHER example of twi-hypocrisy that I began to see up close my first year in-residence. Truth be told.....I had somewhat pondered NOT RETURNING TO THE CORPS PROGRAM AFTER CHRISTMAS so, this small extension of "looking out for the little guy" [and not myself, by bolting] totally changed the trajectory of my life."..... Whilst I understand what you're saying Skyrider, as 'International Corps' at Indiana campus, we relished pretty much having free reign of the campus, helping ourselves to the walk in frige/freezers in kitchen and sleep ins etc....no 'overlords', it was grand !! :biglaugh:/>/>

Oh, I think the 'debate' is even simpler to define. Perhaps it boils down to whether one still believes in God and whether one believes in His Word. After all, if one can prove the fallibility of the bible, one can dismiss what we think we know of God and even get to the point of debunking Him altogether. Some choose this path, others stay off it. Either way, the individuals decision does not make for a neutral debate no matter how hard we try :blink:

And perhaps this is one of the workings of the holy spirit, freeing up the mind, abandoning the fear of looking silly ? Much to do of the workings of the holy spirit especially in the areas of signs, miracles and wonders appear to look absurd ! I'm thinking cursing fig trees, bathing in the Jordan, coins out of fishes mouths etc...are/were played out with the potential to end up looking 'silly'. perhaps believing really is the absence of fear ?

Hiya Twinky, yes fool is an apt term. When he found out we were still doing church, his message to us was to "never forget where we had come from". My response was "don't worry, we've made sure we NEVER FORGET where we've come from lol
