Letter from John Lynn
VeganXTC replied to Jeff USAF RET's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I cannot and will not speak for Bramble, but I do agree with what she said. Of course I believe CES/STF considers people expendable. How can I believe differently when I read about what happened to Elizabeth Lynn? If the founder's wife is cast aside (and worse)when she is deemed unsuitable, what would happen to the average follower of CES/STI? -
Have a very Happy Birthday, Abi!

Congrats, CA! And thank you for being here! I enjoy your posts. I can't wait to read the next 1,000!

A guy walks into a bar, sits down, and asks, "Bartender, got any specials today?" Bartender answers, "Yes, as a matter of fact we have a new drink, invented by a gynecologist patron of ours. It's a mix of Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer and Smirnoff Vodka." The guy asks, "Good grief, what do you call that?" The bartender replied, "It's a "Pabst Smir."

Congratulations Rick! That's awesome! And woo-hoo to you, Linda! And hurray to everyone else who has quit! Everyone once in a blue moon, usually when I'm under stress, I'll think its a good idea to have a cigarette. So, I light up, take a puff, and wonder how I ever found pleasure in smoking.

Here's a video of the dog, (Doogie) a little over a month after being rescued. Its a sweet one, so don't be afraid to watch. There's a big difference between this video, and the one where Doogie couldn't even stand before his rescue. I find it hard to believe that his original home provided for his needs.

I didn't really miss your birthday. I just wanted you to be able to celebrate a little longer. (Yeah, sure, that's it!) I'm glad your day was happy!

Ductape said: The thing is, if you call authorities about an abused child, and they do nothing, or are slow in responding, they are in huge trouble. Tammy Grimes called the humane society, and her police department's humane officer, and they did nothing. Do you think anyone Ms. Grimes contacted will be even repremanded? From what I've experienced, I doubt it.

I'm glad you finally got your snow. But wow! So much at once! Were you able to go out 4-wheeling?

You can still report crime without giving your information, even with caller ID. The police understand that some people won't call to report a crime unless they are guaranteed no one will find out who made the call. Lots of police stations have a special number to call if you want to report a crime anonymously. If your police station is online, you can look up how to place an anonymous call. If its not, I'd call the non-emergency number, and ask them if it was possible to report a crime anonymously, and how to do it, before the need came up.
-
Dot, I shared your story with some of my coworkers who have or are living in neighborhoods with gangs. One of the women asked me to tell you that if you need to report something to the police, to do it anonymously. She said the last thing you need is to have them see the police at your door, and then have them get into trouble. We're all praying for you here.
-
I wish I could tell you something to help set everything right again. I'm really sorry you are going through this. I do believe your neighborhood will become gang-free, but it will take some time. I think you and your neighbors are doing all the right things. You're already organizing, and calling the police. My only advice to you is to remember that they are children. Not to minimize what they are doing, but so that you and your neighbors remember you are smarter than them, more rational than them, you have more resourses than they do. ((DOT))

That was so sweet! Do you think the kitten was declawed? I know dogs are said to be thick skinned, but that dog didn't even flinch!

Have a wonderful birthday!

Actually, ducks are well known for their ability to hit their targets. If you were to stand in a crowded room and yell "duck" you would see people trying to get to the floor and shielding their heads in an attempt to escape the damage of an attacking duck.
-
Ha! Ha! Sudo! That was a refreshing change! LOL! Thanks so much for posting this! I'm going to pass it along to some other duck lovers I know! I especially loved how the ducks shot around the hunters to frighten them off, not to hurt or kill.

Bow, I don't know any books or dvd's, but I found this site: http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/cu...canbritish.html There's a glossary that looks useful, and at the bottom, there's quizes. Its was made by school kids in England, so I don't know if it would be too juvenile for your purposes. Then I saw: http://www.uta.fi/FAST/US1/REF/ The first course would be the only one about British and American english Here's a site for English spelling rules: http://www.englishclub.com/writing/spellin...can-english.htm Hope this helps!

To all ex-Catholic GSC'ers

What bothers me, is the Vatican feels the solution to stopping the sexual abuse of children by priests in the US is to get rid of all homosexual priests. Are all (or any for that matter) homosexual priests responsible for the crisis? Nicholas Groth and Frank Oliveri did a study on 3000 sex offenders and found that men who were attracted to children were heterosexual, and even homophobic. There are many reasons priests might have sexually abused boys under the age of 18, and none of them have to do with homosexuality. Boys are more available to priests than girls. Parents were more willing to let their sons spend more time alone with priests than they would have let their daughters. Priests might have been afraid they would get a girl pregnant. Maybe a priests was angry he was sent to be a priest at a young age, so he attacks boys of that age. Maybe a priest is more comfortable with inexperienced boys. This gay bashing will not end sexual abuse, and it won't stop gay men from becoming priests. All it will do is have men keep silent about their sexual orientation. -

Mark said: Because child molestation has nothing to do with sexual orientation, no matter what gender the perpetrator or victum is. Many child molestors have no adult sexual orientation, they focus on children, whether boys, girls, or both. Their attraction is based on age not gender, so it would be incorrect to label them gay, straight, or bi. If you want to label them, maybe pedophile would be a better choice? Sometimes, too, people will sexually assult children for different motives than sexual release, like intimidation, revenge, whatever. But this does not mean the perpetrator is gay, straight or bi. -
I'm impressed when someone can draw a straight line. His work is amazing!

CES is in a Mess...
VeganXTC replied to Captain Crunch's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
Grace, I enjoy your posts very much. Your voice is one of reason and love, and I am very glad you have come here to Greasespot. I do believe you and some of the other posters believe that some of the CES folks are repenting, and trying to change. I, however, do not trust them at their word. I do care, but it would be a waste for me to call or e-mail any of them. Their actions will show me if they are truly repentant, and that will take a very long time. And if it was just their individual life that they screwed up, I might feel sorry for them. But they hurt many people, both in and out of CES. What I would really like to hear is, "I'm sorry." And if they are truly repentant, they will be the ones to extend their hands. It should not be up to us to demand an apology. -
We're having our heat wave, its 26 degrees as I type! Next week we won't get as warm as you, Danny, or even you Rhino, but at least it will be above freezing. I forget what that's like. And no more snow until Friday!
