Hidden from the ages.

I shall wait with baited breath. ( That's when you eat a carrott and then breathe down a rabbit hole.) :)

MMMM! chicken------------Tastes a lot like rattlesnake! But speaking of old recipes, what about hassenfeffer(sp?)? It's an old German dish featuring rabbit and spaetzel. I loved it as a kid. Where would you even go to buy a cooking rabbit these days? p.s. Use only "farm" rabbit as wild rabbit tastes like-------------!

" I have not given up on the Law of Liberty one bit."---Dr. W W That's a good thing. I did not want you to give up on ANYTHING. I only wanted you to explain how you feel about it in your own words without a lot of jargon. Thank you for doing that in your last post.

I am always in awe of people who can produce visual art in any form. I can't even draw a stick figure without it breaking,

I've always liked Cosby's stories. I consider him to be more of a story teller than a joke teller. However, I can't say that I remember this show at all. Gee, I wonder if it might have coincided with that time in my life when I didn't own a T.V.?

I don't really think it will ever disappear, even though I think it should. After all, the Flat Earth people are still around as are the Malthusians. Now, the Shakers had an interesting concept----- no procreation. That's seems to have had a less than desirable effect on bolstering their membership ranks.

We don't have any "snooty" cookware. I do have, however, a "chicken fryer" that belonged to my Grandmother. I'm sure it must be over 100 years old. It's a cast iron skillet with high sides and a lid. We don't use it much because you can't really put it in the dishwasher and you have to keep it "cured". But, boy oh boy, you can sure make some killer hunter style cacciatore in it! I like the way cast iron cooks but it is too high maintenance for every day meals.

WOW! A couple of those look just like The Way Of Ohio Limb HQ. ------------NOT!-------------------------------------------------- Anyhow, I'm not so sure the French would welcome an invasion of Swiss Chard. Is there a French word for Fellowlaborers?

Music - - Who've you seen/heard lately?
waysider replied to jardinero's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
Thought I would bring this one back up because the festival season is in full swing. This weekend I saw Deanna Bogart. What an extraordinary musician as well as an amazing entertainer. Ever see performers do the audience walk? Deanna took it to a whole new level. She danced with fans and even started a congo line, all the while continuing to blow really wicked saxophone. But wait, there's more. At one point, she disappeared but could still be heard due to the wireless mic. Everyone wondered where she went and then suddenly she appeared in the open, second story window of the bar across the street. As she made her way back to the stage, she encountered a member of a latin jazz band that had just finished a set on another stage.(Still blowing away on that sax.) He had one of those shaker percussion instruments and soon found himself up on stage as part of the song. Mind you, the music(or party) never missed a beat through this whole song. Lots more, but the question is: "Who've YOU seen/heard lately?" -
Out There I consulted my thesaurus and discovered that the words "dream" and "fantasy" are not interchangable, at least not in this scenario.

Yeah, it was weird. Maybe it was Donnie Fug!t who taught it. Too long ago. You were supposed to do the whole meeting(minus the manifestations) You didn't have to say "let's turn to #---", but you were supposed to pray, sing, and teach just as if there was an audience. I remember the phrase, " Your responsibility is to hold forth The Word, God's responsibility is to give the increase." Luckily, I only had to do it a couple times because back in those days, there usually wasn't much problem filling the room with people who were looking for answers to life's problems. And, despite all the "good old days" memories we have, it was a time when the world was in major turmoil. What's that old song? Eve Of Destruction The Eastern world It is explodin' Violence flairin' Bullets loadin' And even the Jordan River Has bodies floatin' But you tell me Over and over again, my friend You don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

Watermelon Slim----I Got A Problem

Hmmm. Don't know about the haunted stuff but I'm sure quite a few horror stories have been played out there.

Kudos, Mr. B. :eusa_clap: The only degree I have is an A.A.S.(Associate of Applied Science). Still, being an adult when I got it, I feel like I accomplished something important in pursuing it. I'm glad I did.

It was , indeed, The Buckinghams but it was not "Kind Of A Drag." Here's more info. It was originally recorded by Cannonball Adderley a year before the Buckinghams had a hit with it.

Remember when somebody ( might have been VPW) taught that if no one shows up for twig and it's just you and God, you have twig anyway? Could that day be rapidly approaching?

Will It Go Round In Circles?

Yeah, everybody in the neighborhood Will testify that my girl she sure looks good And she's so fine She'd give eyesight to the blind And if she ever leaves me I will lose my mind. Hint: this was also a big hit as an instrumental. OK, the words don't help with that but I think you know what I mean.

Well, Mr. M. Perhaps you could initiate a critical examination of sorts(forum style) here at the Cafe. An overview of the aforementioned might be a good launching point. Maybe examine literary merit and style, etc. before sending it to the doctrinal discussions. Just a thought.

Dr. WearWord I know you're set on convincing me of something, I just can't figure out exactly what that something is. So far all I've seen is regurgitation of various bits and pieces of Way doctrine and mumbo jumbo. You might want to rethink that offer of a new epistle( yes, I know a letter can be considered an epistle but I don't think that's the meaning you were trying to place on it.) People tend to lose interest in the projection of so called prophets whose predictions fall short. You don't need a scripture for that comment. Common sense will tell you the same thing. In my first post on this thread, I asked,"Why MUST there be a law of liberty?" My challenge to you is to simply explain your answer to that question in your own words, without reiterating bits and pieces of thought that have their origins in The Way. I don't think an entire epistle will be necessary.

Sounds like a classic case of rationalization by a Wierwille sympathiser.
