Howdy, JEFFSjo If you want to quote from someones post, you click on the quote/reply thing at the bottom of their post. Their post will appear and you can then proceed. If you want to quote their whole post, you can drop down below the place where it says and post your reply. If you quote portions only, you can delete the portion/s that aren't relevant to your reply. When you do that, it helps to put the word snip before and after the section so it is clear that you have removed it from its context. If you want to quote their whole post and respond to sections of it, you can insert your comments and use the bold, italics, underline, or color features to set your comments apart. Or, perhaps you would like to change the font or size. Now regarding the concept of this program or that program making someone more spiritual or knowledgeable, it is really part of the myth that beckoned people to enlist in these programs. It's part of what drove people to constantly seek the next level up. When I signed up for Fellow Laborers, for example, the idea was that we would study the Book Of Acts intensely for two years and take our advanced knowledge back to our home areas. In reality, we lived in a commune, worked our butts off and had very little academic growth. We scarcely even had time to just sit and read The Word for pleasure. Many times I found myself envious of the people "back home" who could take the time to study aspects of The Word that they chose to. Please don't ever allow yourself to think less of yourself because you didn't have this class or that program to fill out your resume. I am glad you have chosen to bring your own, very unique, perspective here to GSC. Potato, I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down. Sometimes we just need to holler out loud, whether or not anyone is listening. Just want you to know you can holler in my direction anytime you want. Don't know that I'll have any answers but I promise I'll listen. That's what waysiders DO. They listen to concerns that others might have, hoping that the answer will make itself known.

'55 pick-em-up, eh? Here's an off the wall suggestion. Get him a model of that truck. You know, the kind guys used to build way back when. The kind you build when you are too old for toys but too broke to buy a really nice car, or pick-em-up, as the case may be. Get him paint that closely matches the paint on the real thing. Ditto on the fuzzy dice.(Real ones for the truck and matching miniatures for the model.) This way he can continue to build his "dream truck" even after he is done building his "dream truck". A long time ago, I tried this with a model of my real car which had T-Tops. It was a challenge trying to cut and fashion those mini-Tees. The real car had racing wheels so, of course, I searched high and low for something that kinda matched. I even found some fabric that approximated the real interior and customized the seats. Now, keep in mind that you can't just use a swath of the authentic fabric because it will lose its scaled ratio. Old owner's manuals and advertising promotions for that vehicle are cool too but not always inexpensive and often hard to find. Then again, a nice bottle of Cognac brandy, V.S.O.P.(Very Superior, Old and Pale) is a gift you can enjoy together.

Let's be honest here. John's comments regarding "clocking" a woman were not set in a context that depicted physical danger. Does it need to get pasted again to illustrate the essence of what he said? That's not a "personal attack", it's a statement of fact.

Yep That's Debbie Davies on guitar. She cut her teeth with the likes of Albert Collins and John Mayall. The singer in the red dress is a young Janiva Magness. (This clip is from 1991) Janiva is one of the most powerful female vocalists out there working today. Check out her other youtube clips. Not sure on the other personnel. No question, though, there are some ladies out there who can really kick out the jams. I'm kinda at a loss on the harp, though. The tune is in the key of C and he is playing 2nd position which would make this an F harp. The harp he is playing looks like a Hohner CX-12 (chromatic) but I don't think they were on the market yet in 1991. I guess I'll have to do a little homework now.

My hearing aid works perfect. My bifocals are fine. I really love my dentures, But Lord how I miss my mind. (Not a song or answer---just me rambling.) I don't mind taking a shot at newer stuff. (But I'm no marksman, by any means.) :)
