BOY HOWDY! If that don't just say it all ! Even after all these years I find myself having an almost instantaneous internal reaction to things that people do and say that are similar to things I saw in TWI. Psychological bullying is a biggy for me.

welcome aboard, Brushstroke
I wanted to call your attention to the PM(off-line) feature here as well.

Carrot & apple raisin salad. Yum Yum! Yup---We had plenty of that too. And Waldorf Salad, which is especially delicious when made using home-made mayo that's been prepared in mass quantities in someone's dank basement using fresh farm eggs. Sprinkle some mung bean sprouts on that puppy and you got yourself some mighty fine(and "Oh, so tasty!") vittles.

Sorry if I'm intruding here but it seems from the context of your post that the word "this" was referring to the subject of discussing possible errors in PFAL and the possibility that it(PFAL) might not be God breathed.

Maybe this is off topic, I'm not sure. Many years ago, I copyrighted several songs. The copyright at that time was 28 years. (It has since been extended to lifetime.) At the end of those 28 years, I had an option of renewing or allowing them to go into public domain. I chose the latter. Once they have gone into public domain they can not be copyrighted again by me or anyone else. A specific 'arrangement' can be copyrighted but that's another issue. Now, admittedly, I don't know much about how all this works with journalistic works but had these been public domain songs that he claimed to have written, he would have been in violation of the law pertaining to copyrighting a "PD" song. Now, some stickler may argue that, since these were "arrangements" he could do so. However, if you try to copyright a song exactly as it appeared in the original you are not really copyrighting an "arrangement". Dr. Wierwille copied some of this material "word for word" and then proceeded to copyright it. Illegal? That's beyond my scope of knowledge so I'll just label it dishonest and shady. (And that's a generously kind assessment.) edited for spelling error.

Shhhhh! No one else knows!

You either agreed with it all or you hit the highway. Of course, the devil will probably destroy you if you do but it's your choice.

Be careful, Phil Many a wise and wary person has been lured into their deceptive snare. The lifestyle they promote is perhaps even more destructive than their interpretation of The Bible. One of their core beliefs is that you can physically change things in the real world(both good and bad) by a mental process called "the law of believing". Woe unto the person who fails to operate it "properly". There is an audio on the homepage that may give you some idea what it is about. edited to note that there is a chat room here also.

Welcome, Phil Where to start? You might try the main menu and click on some of the links or listen to episode #8. That's as good a place as any I guess.

In regard to color deficiencies, commonly called color blindness, elephants are what are known as deuteranopes. So, if you give it a brush with green paint or a brush with orange paint, it could not distinguish between the two. http://colorvisiontesting.com/color2.htm I go through this with a co-worker who can't tell yellow from orange, even the most extreme examples. I am forever hounding him to----- READ THE PART NUMBERS!! Just though I would mention that.

songs remembered from just one line

What is ain't exactly clear. For What It's Worth--------Buffalo Springfield. OOPS! Out of time. Somebody want my turn? -
This stuff has been around "forever and a day". You could spend the rest of your life just trying to sort through all the information on the internet that pertains to this. Planet X is just another way of saying "the unknown planet". Neptune was once considered Planet X, so was Pluto. Now, the Nibiru aspect is a whole other ball of wax. It's been around in one variation or another as long as I recall. One variation of it was quite popular in the 1950's but I don't recall the details. It's very likely there is a "Planet X". We are forever making new discoveries. But is the Legend of Nibiru real? I don't know. Maybe I'll ask Santa Clause if he has any insider info before he scurries back up the chimney next Christmas.

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do! BUT I cast my vote to keep him. But get a picture that is a "close up".

When I was a kid, there were a lot of people in my neighborhood who had survived traumatic experiences in WWII. (Combat, POW, concentration camps) Some of them were what we used to call "shell shocked". One particular guy who lived in the house behind ours was a seemingly normal kind of guy. He wasn't a zombie-like person or anything of the sort. You could be having a normal conversation with him when, unexpectedly, a car would back-fire or there would be some other noise that sounded vaguely like artillery. He would turn white as a ghost, start to sweat, and lose his focus completely. You could just tell his heart was racing a mile a minute. There was something in his psyche that lurked just below the surface waiting to emerge. I think it's kinda like that for some of us, though usually not so extreme. There's always that ticking time bomb waiting to send us into spontaneous anxiety. (ie:The boss says something or does something that brings back an unpleasantness from TWI and anxiety is instantaneous.) Perhaps some counselors don't pick up on it because pushing buttons is something they would inherently avoid. Just a thought I could be wrong.

Thanks, Pond I wouldn't have a clue what her number is. I haven't seen or talked to her since 1981. I like your new avatar but it needs to be zoomed in a bit more. OK---Sorry, I'll get off here so the thread can get back to topic.

Well, you see, Mike, as the old ladies realized, no one would willingly consume pure arsenic. That's why they "laced" it. Now, you tell me. Which parts were the "arsenic" and which parts were the "lace"? edited for punctuation.
-
Mike In all the time I have been posting here, I have never put anyone on "ignore". (Though I have joked about it from time to time.) I'm not trying to bully you into anything. Believe whatever floats your boat. I know what's inside the books, Mike, and it's a steady diet of arsenic. But, like the two dear old ladies in Arsenic and Old Lace, the person who administered it laced it with something to make it more palatable.

It happened in 1972, long before "this drift got worse and worse". Let me state this as straightforwardly as I can, Mike. This doctrine you tout and openly promote has caused countless people irreparable damage and grief. Some have even paid for it with their lives. If you wish to continue to believe it has real value, that's your choice. "Opening the books up FRESH and a LOT" may work for you but I would suggest you take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror and think about the damage this crap has caused when you continue to promote it. I plan on visiting his grave next month. Shall I lay a flower on it in your honor?

Here's the original Piece Of My Heart.

Who is deciding whether it's "God Breathed"? You or the Library Of Congress? I have to assume that since the PLAF book is in English and you are convinced, beyond all reasonably logical evidence to the contrary, that it is "God breathed, you are referring to "the orange book". Oh, by the way, I checked and discovered that the erroneous "law" of believing is, indeed, presented in the "printed part". And wouldn't you just know it? It's in the written PLAF materials. Hey, Mike, a friend of mine died as a result of what's contained in those classes. Does it bother you that you continue to promote something that has contributed to deaths? Just thought I would ask.

Kinda sounds like being "a little bit" pregnant.

I had a great aunt who was 100% Indian/Native American, born on the REZ in the 1800's She was not a blood relative, though. She married my great uncle who was a blood relative. As an infant, she was orphaned by a natural catastrophe and raised by white folks. When I was a kid, she made me a beautiful black and white quilt. I kept it for a long time and stored it in a cedar chest. When I got divorced in 1981, my ex-wife took the chest, not realizing the quilt was inside. I never saw her or the quilt again. OK,OK,OK---- I know that's off-topic. But what the heck, if she posts here and reads this, maybe I'll get my dad-gum quilt back!!
-
So then you agree that the "law" of believing was part of the "printed part"?

I must confess; I googled it. WOW!! Perfect choice for this forum.
