1. Isn't this really just the same stuff TWI used to define and justify "righteous anger"?
2. 3. I had a pet rock once that got more heavy revvy than VPW. It's a known fact that a lot of the conspiracy junk he passed off as revelation came straight from Liberty Lobby. (a white supremacist group)
4. I physically left in about 1990 but, mentally, I checked out about 10 years prior to that. I like to say I was in "coast mode" because I didn't get involved in running classes and handling logistics. I was a twigster. The last twig I was in for those years was very insulated though not really isolated. The twig leader must have known what was going on because he had been active and tight with HQ since taking PFAL in the 1950's. Still, none of us in the twig had any idea this stuff was going on. The "ribbon of fear" I am referencing is the ribbon that is laced throughout the classes , books, tapes, and such, not so much the fear that was in the rantings and ravings and daily activities you are thinking of.
5. The Renewed Mind page 14 "Recognize that weakness, sickness, suffering and death come from Satan. Thoughts in the mind produce-----80% of all diseases; ulcers, constipation, diarrhea, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, coronary thrombosis, headaches, diabetes, allergies, skin diseases, etc." So, are they claiming their class on altering one's thinking offers a method that can remedy these ailments? I think there are laws that govern the health claims you make about a product.
6. And so once again-----Why do they keep PFAL in mothballs? Witnessing and Undershepharding page 2 "The basic reason we witness is to help people into the classes on Power For Abundant Living and help them walk on it."
7. I do remember VPW describing the vision as he tried to describe the supposed difference between visions and "revelation" in AC, 1973. Did Meg K. have something like this in the Fine Arts house in St. Mary's?
8. Never had any smutty corns but I had some risque bunions once.
9. When I think of the "original" Way groups, I think of the groups from the early '70's like Pressed Down, Good Seed, Cookin' Mama, Selah---- These weren't groups that were put together by The Way. They were, for the most part, existing groups who became involved with The Way. Could they compete with groups today? I don't know. I do know, though, that they were pretty stiff competition for my attention compared to what was existing at that point in time.

11. I did not go to the last few ROA's. Hearing people talk about it, though, makes me think of the guy who was seen banging his head against the wall. When asked why he did it, he said it felt so good to stop.
12. In Louisiana, they just call them "dinner". :P
13. Not tryin' to take sides but the water at HQ really WAS nasty. It had hydrogen sulfide in it and always smelled like rotten eggs.
14. I don't think it was because we forfeited our minds. I think it was because TWI used misleading information to convince us they had a good product. TWI sold it ----We bought it. Now excuse me while I place my order for a "sham-wowzer". (If I act now, I get a second one free.)
15. "at the age of 37 she realized she would never ride through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in her hair." <param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">
16. So anyhow, My point was that there is an element of fear that is woven into the very fabric of the PFAL series that plays a very integral role in the structure of the TWI belief system. There is an ever present fear that you may be inviting devil spirits by not properly renewing your mind. There is a fear that others may detect your unrenewed thinking and draw their own conclusions. It's always there. It's woven throughout the PFAL series of classes. Either you drive your mind to adopt the approved TWI mindset or you become a master of disguising your true thoughts and emotions. Either way, you lose.
17. I'm sorry if my answer appeared to be flippant. I certainly didn't mean it to be so. But,this question is a bit like the old question of whether or not God can make a rock that is too big for himself to lift.Anyhow, if you really want to explore this question, you first have to understand that our modern day concept of "satan" is not derived from the Bible. The Real Devil
18. I guess you have to buy into the whole devil thing before it really matters to you.
19. "I'm still here." HaHaHaHaHaHaHa
20. Manifestations of holy spirit? Can't honestly say that I do. (At least not as TWI defined them.)
21. And here's a real twist. Muddy covering The Stones! HERE
