  1. I'm not so sure the monster ever really died. I think it's just been lurking in the shadows, incognito.
  2. "She completed studies at The Johns Hopkins University then enrolled in a joint degree program at Yale University where she earned a Master’s of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School and a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work." That doesn't sound very "looney" to me.
  3. Ya know what? I don't really think Wierwille gave a ratz azz whether or not the "ministry" survived beyond his lifetime. I think all the things he told "the third trunk leader" and the things he supposedly said to G33r in the POOP paper were really just a dog and pony show, one last attempt to exalt himself and bask in adulation before he kicked the bucket.
  4. I disagree. Abuse is not determined subjectively, according to someone's perception, nor is it someone's fault because they got into a situation that became abusive. That idea seems to complicate domestic abuse frequently. Abuse is abuse. A spade is a spade.----- "Yeah, he beat me, but I'm not a very good housekeeper so it's probably my fault." Or, "It's probably my fault because I should have seen his true colors before I married him." --------These doctors, analysts, clergymen or what have you, that use their positions to exploit those whose welfare has been entrusted to them, are the one's at fault. Period. When people play this perception game to fault the victim or get the victim to fault them self, they are rationalizing their own guilt. Refuse to even consider playing that game.

  6. Do history lessons have expiration dates?
  7. THE BOROWITZ REPORT - Just hours after saying that God was punishing Haiti for making a "pact with the Devil," televangelist Pat Robertson retracted the statement, telling TV viewers, "Haiti? I thought they said 'Hades.'" Rev. Robertson said that he had heard the report of the earthquake on the radio and had misinterpreted its location: "For the life of me, I thought God was punishing Hades, which does in fact have a pact with the Devil." They kicked the French out of Hades???
  8. "And you know, Christy, something happened a long time ago and people might not want to talk about it. You see, I lost my mind."--------Pat R. :P

I don't have depth perception so I can't see anything (movie or otherwise) in 3-D. Give me a good, old, Woody Allen flick any day.
  11. Based on what I gleaned from the overall message of that LINK, they are still quite preoccupied with subscription to a twisted rendering of II Timothy 2:15. But, good news! If you've been wondering how to operate revelation in your own life, they have a method that can help you. "People have not been taught how to understand things like figures of speech, Eastern customs, what revelation truly is, and the accuracy of the Word. Our ministry provides this service and direction."
  12. From THIS link: “The Biblical research which was presented wonderfully built upon the foundation of the Word I knew, and it inspired me to enlarge my thinking as to how to apply the great truths of the Word to my life.” What does that even mean? Looking at it logically, devoid of emotion, it becomes apparent that the very essence of The Way's approach to the Bible is built on an erroneous understanding of II Timothy 2:15. Wierwille mistranslated, misinterpreted and misrepresented the meaning of this verse in order to promote his own agenda. How can one promote an organization as being a "research ministry" when the very "research" (II Timothy 2:15) the organization itself is built on is faulty?
  13. Maybe it really just doesn't fit "like a hand in a glove". That would certainly make it a lot easier to understand why the contradictions exist.
  14. My idea of a good time cruise. HERE
  15. 'all hands on deck, we've run afloat!' I heard the captain cry 'explore the ship, replace the cook: let no one leave alive!' Across the straits, around the horn: how far can sailors fly? A twisted path, our tortured course, and no one left alive We sailed for parts unknown to man, where ships come home to die No lofty peak, nor fortress bold, could match our captain's eye Upon the seventh seasick day we made our port of call A sand so white, and sea so blue, no mortal place at all We fired the gun, and burnt the mast, and rowed from ship to shore The captain cried, we sailors wept: our tears were tears of joy Now many moons and many Junes have passed since we made land A salty dog, this seaman's log: your witness my own hand

  18. Geeze! For a minute there, I thought you were talking about your girlfriend. But now I see it's much more serious than I first thought. I'm really sorry, man. I'm at a loss for words. Can you pass the ketchup?
