  1. I'm glad you are, too. Welcome!
  2. Welcome to GSC!

  3. Maybe you and I are on a different wave length.----I dunno. I didn't interpret JJ's post to be disparaging anyone's belief in eternal life. Rather, I saw it as a specific questioning of the whole soul-sleep concept.
  4. I'm not sure I can catalog it into any kind of tidy chronology. It's all been, and continues to be, an evolutionary process for me.

What if you knew her and found her dead on the ground?
  6. Oh, and don't forget the initiation ceremony ritual for entrance into The Inner Sanctum.
  7. I think, perhaps, he was trying to let us know he was really a modern day Professor Harold Higgins. (the con-man in Music Man) I mean, think about it. Seventy six (brass) trombones led the big parade.
  8. The manifestation of blah, blah, blah is your operation of the blah, blah, blah in the blah, blah, blah, blah----

  10. Maybe he thinks he's Elvis Costello.
  11. I don't remember the blue AC nametags. I do recall that, in my second year of fellow laborers, we had blue tags with white writing.
  12. It was a Platonic relationship. When I discovered the ploy, at about the fifth or sixth session, it was too late. I had already been hooked by the class, itself.
  13. The AC was possibly the most depressing two combined weeks I ever spent in The Way. It totally bummed me out that everyone else appeared to be understanding it while I didn't "get" it at all. That and the fact that I tried to connect with some of the popular Way musicians of the day and they completely blew me off without so much as a listen.
  14. Well, he had that way cool toolbox. (don't remember which class) He couldn't just spend his days sitting on it so he joined The Piece Corps.

  16. Be careful when trying to use homemade formulas with low water usage (such as front loader) washing machines. They require h.e (high efficiency) formulated detergents. These detergents have, among other things, suds inhibitors and suspension agents. Using standard detergents will confuse the on-board computers and can ultimately damage the main bearing, due to sludge build-up around the bearing.----- Very costly repair!!
  17. He may not have been a farmer but he sure knew how to pitch manure.
  18. Postcast of Jones: http://methodistthinker.com/2009/05/04/podcast-dr-e-stanley-jones-on-the-gift-of-the-holy-spirit/ The first few minutes sound like they are paraphrased straight out of PFAL (sessions 11 & 12) But, of course, this predates PFAL by several years.
  19. Date & Switch----That's what got me to sign The Green Card.

  21. Having never been in The Way, this may or may not have the same type of impact on you as it does some of us. Wiewille was very cavalier about environmental issues. According to him, the Lord would return before we could do any real damage. So, why waste your time, efforts and financial resources by becoming involved with such causes? Instead, focus all your energies on witnessing and selling the PFAL class. "It's the word, the word and nothing but the word.", It's always the integrity of the word that's at stake.", etc. After all, the answers to all of life's problems, including environmental disasters, are encompassed in PFAL. That attitude still lingers below the surface for many former followers of The Way, despite the obvious reality that we are destroying the very planet we call home.
  22. I'm curious, Composer. Why are you so worried about what anyone here believes?
  23. Hmmmm. low light---ripped from bed. Sounds like some kind of alien abduction.
  24. Like father (in the word), like son.
