Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it sounds like an attempt at isolationism. "Don't associate with those people you've known for years. Their weakness will bring you down."

Craig Has His Own Offshoot Going On

Just thought I'd point out, it was Wierwille, himself, who made this claim. (Page 10 or 11 in the Advanced Class syllabus) -
While both these approaches may or may not have merit for a kid on the playground, they almost never work in the adult world. Consider this analogy of learning to play piano: When you're a kid, you hone your chops by practicing scales, droning on and on with repetitive drills. But, the end goal is to sit before a live audience and impress them with an emotional performance of Moonlight Sonata. In other words, you have to become much more skilled. And that's what bullies do. They become much more skilled at applying nuanced methods. Please note, I'm not accusing anyone of being a bully. As an adult ,having personally endured some horrendous corporate bullying at the hands of serial bullies, I can tell you the answer is not always simple or identifiably gratifying. One solution that seems to work is to just remove yourself from the bully. That's not always easy, though, and often comes at the cost of relinquishing the last word. Even so, it can sometimes be the ultimate solution. In the process, you have to also learn to recognize what made you a target in the first place or the victory will be pyrrhic. Another solution that sometimes works is to help the bully obligingly embarrass theirself. Bullies hate to be embarrassed, especially when it's of their own doing. I have no real idea how this relates to the current situation. It's just some food for thought and decidedly off-topic to the current Absent Christ theme .

Promised Relief: Broken Promises from the Way International

RETEMORIES I equate memorizing retemories to memorizing vocabulary lists in a target language. I learned the names of all the colors in Spanish. Presto! I now speak Spanish. Knowledge is good, but it's useless if you can't apply it in real time, especially as it pertains to human interaction.. -
I must have missed it. What was the punchline?

Lots of people have gotten a good look behind the curtain and decided to move on with their lives. I would call that success. In addition, many have simply passed away. It's a harsh reality we all face eventually. As to the latter part of your assessment: I, myself, was never in the Corps and my Way history dates back to 1972. edit: All of this, of course, has nothing to do with the discussion topic. I just thought I would set the record straight.

While you're "looking into it", you might also want to look into the bogus doctrine of administrations.

Hey, what's a couple thousand year gap between cultures got to do with anything?

You: "That was a great movie." Me: "What did you like about it?" You: "Oh, you know, stuff".

There's an old joke in there about eating some local honey but, since it's off-color, I probably shouldn't go there. -

Haha! Yeah, I remember being on breakfast duty for our house and forgetting to soak them overnight. As soon as I woke up, I quickly put them in a bowl of cold water and stuck them in the fridge before our morning run so I could cook them when we got back There's nothing quite so refreshing as starting your day with a bowl of tiny rubber ball bearings. Can I get a "YUM!", brothers and sisters? -

Yes, but you'll need to provide your own wheat germ and flax seeds. -

Seventy five miles of open road, that was the distance between Ohio Limb Hq (the home base of FellowLaborers) and International Hq. It's about an hour and a half drive. And, there was an airfield not far from Ohio Limb Hq, as well. In my multiple years spent at the FellowLaborer program, how many times would you estimate Wierwille visited us? edit: Spoiler: It's a number that resembles a goose egg. The only times any other V.I.P.s visited us was when they needed housing as they were enroute to somewhere else. I'm not sure how that's relative to this discussion but I felt compelled to say it. -
Focus on his mobster ways and ties to the underworld and Al Capone was a failure. Focus on the 2,200 people per day who were served by his soup kitchen and he was a success.
