  1. "It's like you're always stuck in second gear." So much of that describes my own experience, it's uncanny. No phone, no TV, no newspaper, no internet and on and on and on. I remember when everyone at my outside job was buzzing about some new TV show called Saturday Night Live. How do you tell people you don't even have a TV and then turn around to pitch them on Power For Abundant Living? Those were the days, though, weren't they, Edith? edit: After one of those grueling 5AM to midnight days, the only thing on your mind was the chance of getting another 5 hrs. sleep.
  2. Hey, Mike. You seem to know a lot about what goes on in academia. What exactly is your educational background? (No essays, please.)
  3. I had fellowship with Shakespeare. Good times. Good times.
  4. Jesus is on the main line. Tell him what you want.
  5. Green was for FellowLaborers. You younger grads need to pay attention. Sheesh!
  6. "What do you want to do tonight, Brain?" "Same thing we do every night., Pinky, try to sell the class."
  7. Another thick slice (or 2) of baloney. If there's something in the written materials that promotes your premise, the onus is on you to present it. If it's there, it certainly shouldn't require an "essay" to expose it. Bring it on. I'll try my best to discuss it in a fair and balanced manner.
  8. This is absolute nonsense, Mike. This concept of "feelings come and go" is laced throughout the entire PFAL series of classes, beginning with the foundational class. It's really a pity your hatred of the Way Corps, as well as a hatred of verbally communicated lessons, has blinded you to reality. I challenge you to present some sort of concrete evidence that the written materials promote a healthy attitude toward emotions. Take your time. I can wait.
  9. Years ago, there was a particular TV preacher who had an early Sunday morning, 1/2 hour show. He would start with current events, move on to a couple of songs, reflect on a personal anecdote and, finally, toward the end of the show, he would briefly quote a scripture. Then, he would finish the show by shouting, "JOY! I wish I had more time!". I'm just sayin'.
  10. Holy macaroni. You could make Stretch Armstrong look stiff.
  11. Might I suggest it may have to do with a blatant disdain for anything Way Corps, as well as academia, related?
  12. Literally no one. You're playing games with definitions again. People have revelations all the time. Information is revealed to them that they previously didn't have. What is that? It's revelation. Is it supernatural? Well, I guess the possibility exists, but it's not what is typically being implied. If you need a refresher on what Wierwille meant by "revelation", might I suggest you revisit pages 5-7 of the Advanced Class syllabus? This is where he offers up his definitions of "revelation", which, by the way, he copied almost word for word from a source he failed to disclose.
  13. Something, something, something, snowball's chance in hell, something.
  14. "All nine, all the time." Except Wierwille... he just studied a lot. I mean, when he didn't have his hand in Daddy's cookie jar, of course.
  15. It's difficult to draw cultural parallels between Japan and the United States. Japanese culture relies heavily on honorifics and hierarchical social structuring. I'm sure this would play a major role in how such programs would be implemented and how they would ultimately affect society in general.
  16. "I just reach up in Daddy's cookie jar".......VPW
  17. I'm not playing "gotcha". You're blowing smoke with this lame explanation. You're quoting from page 10, item #4 from the Advanced Class syllabus. (Keys To Walking In The Spirit.) On that same page, immediately preceding the section you used is key #3. 3. Speaking in tongues daily is prerequisite to revelation. II Corinthians 4:16 Refresh my memory. When did Wierwille say he first spoke in tongues? I'm thinking it was quite a few years after he claimed to have received revelation via the 1942 promise. But, how can that be if we are to accept item #3 as being correct?
  18. I'm not interested in your revisionist editing after being called out. Either you said it or you didn't. Which is it?
  19. Please do. You posted this on the previous page, 6 hrs. ago.
  20. It's a subset of gaslighting known as gas pumping.
