  1. You really can't blame God, though. He spent everything in the budget getting that lady her special drapes. (If I ever get my believing together, I'm gonna ask for those Lincoln Logs I've wanted since third grade.)
  2. I hope God never asks me to be a prophet like Jonah. I'm not too keen on seafood.
  3. Yeah, I read that the first time you posted it. It's straight out of the Advanced Class, though somewhat paraphrased. Am I correct in assuming you know by now that the definitions in the Advanced Class are from an outside source? What sort of scriptural evidence are you providing to bolster your point?
  4. So, why bother with retemories? Reach right up in that cookie jar, baby. Get yourself a big old chocolate chip. Skip all the song and dance.
  5. So, if scripture can't bring about a miracle, why bother with the retemories?
  6. You're paraphrasing the Advanced Class. (There is no scriptural basis for this.)
  7. . You may be thinking of Lonnie Frizbee. He was one of those early California Jesus Movement hippie preachers whose work eventually evolved into Calvary Chapel and Vineyard Church. He was, however, a white guy, not black. He died from AIDS in the early 1990s.
  8. Take your Sing-Along-The Way songbooks and turn to that old gospel classic, "He's The Healer of Broken Transmissions".
  9. And if the devil doesn't like it he can launch an attack Launch an attack Launch an attack. And if the devil doesn't like it......
  10. So, God can repair blown head gaskets. Is this fair to the believer who owns a repair shop?
  11. Why would you even bring this here if you were unprepared to defend your opinion with substance.
  12. Ask yourself this question: "Why does anyone budget?" I can only speak for myself. I budget because I have limited resources. Does God have limited resources?
  13. Here's what Rev. 12:9 says: "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."...(KJV) How does that connect to Sgt. Schultz? Ok, I see the "I know nothing" part., but other than that?
  14. It's not hard at all, if you base your judgement on linguistic criteria.
