I have no idea what the hooded thing was. I never saw anything like it during my time in The Way. I saw lots of other ridiculous nonsense but never that. -

...republicans were all Christians and democrats were all liberals.. OK, I'll rephrase it. When did Christianity become a political party? -

A lot of people do identify themselves first with their state and secondly with the country. Probably the most notable example is Texas. But, you will find a similar sentiment in parts of Alaska and Hawaii. At least, that's the impression I've gotten from people I have worked with from those places. -
Yum. Latkes and sour cream. I'll be right over.

Yes. The Russian greeting is more of a "call and response" Sorta like "How are you?"....."I'm fine."

Translation please ..................... "Χριστός ἀνέστη!" Christ is risen. "Ἀληθῶς ἀνέστη!" Truly, He is risen. (Russian/Slavic Easter greeting)

I was once invited to afternoon tea by the Queen of England. Well, ok, it was really the little neighbor girl. But, she let me be Prince William so how cool was that, huh? -
"I know some folks are going to think twice about those of us who went hitchhiking." So, there you have it. He acknowledges hitch hiking is a questionable component of the program. (Just like Grandpa scoffed at the dangers 30 years ago when he said, "You could get raped anywhere....")

Uh huh...only a matter of time before someone sees a blinding snow descend upon the cotton fields of August.

No matter how much I learn, there is always someone who knows a hell of a lot more than I do.. Speaking in a secular sort of sense...

Life is all about choices. Some people choose to ride the coat-tails of celebrity into the Mississippi sunset. Know what I mean?

Maybe it's the tongues of angels. Do they ever use the phrase, "Lo Shanta La Maka See Tay..."?
-
Exactly, and yet, they just pretend they can sprinkle some magic dust and everything will be ok.

How old are J.P. and D.M. now, 60ish? Maybe this is their last hurrah.

Next thing you know, somebody will get the bright idea to rebuild Jonestown. Don't these guys look happy? What's the fair market value of a smile these days?

"Honestly, Your Honor, I never really read that whole thread. I mean, it just seemed so long and icky. Besides, who has time to read this stuff when we're so busy stepping on anybody who gets in our way?"

Do Jr. and his crew lurk here? Here ya go, Jr., lurk on THIS.
-
They would have a tough time pleading ignorance after all that's been brought out into the light of day.
-
When I see them smiling in those pix, it's like they're saying, "Hey! Look at Me!, I'm slapping common sense in the face!" Better watch yourself, Jr...... Common sense has a limit to how many times it will turn the other cheek.

Plus there was the element of "believing" for safe rides, opportunities to witness, coming back without having spent any money, etc.

Yeah. Likemindedness has been grossly under-rated.
